Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint Mr [redacted] is completely incorrect in 100% of his response As you can see from the attached [redacted] Activity, the payoff amount was for $9, The amount short paid was $ I too have spoken with [redacted] and they have verified that only ONE payoff request was made, by me, on August 3rd via telephone and it was good for one day only ---the amount was also MORE than the amount paid You can then see that the late charge Mr [redacted] speaks of was ONLY accessed on 8/25/2015, which is over days past the date of purchase of our new vehicle AFTER the late fee of 8/25, the balance due was $($short pay + $late fee + $interest adjustment) ---this payment was made by me only after I found out the payoff was short paid I offered to email this documentation to Belinda in the accounting department but she refused to give me her contact information so we could resolve this issue[redacted] has verified that NO ONE from AutoNation requested a payoff, so Mr***' claim is incorrect [redacted] *** has also ON MANY occasions verified this payoff was SHORTED **This is also CLEARLY noted in the account activity attached The fact that Mr [redacted] has failed to even review this information in order to confirm that indeed his accounting department made an error is egregious and offensive I have done nothing in error here and there is no reason for this dealership not to assist in the correction of this situation Regards, [redacted]

As a business, you should be ashamed in the manner in
which this matter was handled. *** *** has just sent me copy of the letter they sent to your company
informing you that you did NOT in fact pay the correct payoff amount.
Amazingly, both Belinda and Eric previously claimed to have NEVER received
any notification from *** *** (blaming them for no notice). Attached
is copy of the letter. I recognize your refusal to review the supporting
evidence or the reality of the issue and admit what should have been
just a minor error that could have been easily remedied.
Unfortunately for you, the facts just do not reflect your claims. This latest letter I received from *** *** apologized for this issue, agreeing that Autonation was completely liable
for the mishap due to short-paying the balance of the loan ---supplying me with
the letter they sent you long ago to attempt to remedy the issue. They have also agreed to withdrawal the
negative report due to your company’s culpability. It’s unfortunate that your business
refused to assist in this situation because they have forever lost a customer
in me and everyone in my network
I have supplied receipts, statements, history
of activity, and letters ---all of which specifically and irrefutably support
my claim and sequence of events. Unlike me, you are incapable of
providing ANY proof whatsoever that support your assertion that this problem
was created by some fault of my own.
Your apparent refusal to acknowledge the facts is astonishing.
This should be an embarrassment to your management (and a Lesson in
Customer Service everywhere) for failure to take responsibility for a minor error and
lack of attempts to resolve it. The complete apathy I have received
at EVERY level of your organization is astounding and definitely
unforgettable.
Although
I'm glad that *** *** has recognized the injustice here, I'm very disappointed they had to do so without the assistance of the party responsible for it in the first place--AutoNation

To whom it may concern,After speaking to [redacted], Tiffany [redacted] was already nine days past due on her account with a due date of 7/23. Shortly after she traded her 05’ Infiniti, [redacted] assessed a late fee. Furthermore, the payoff that we obtained was good through 8/18 and it did not...

include a late fee. Most importantly, [redacted] applied the payoff amount we sent on 8/13. Nevertheless, the payoff was short caused by the late fee; had the customer made her scheduled payment on time, this would have never been an issue.
The store did nothing wrong and we cannot produce a letter describing an oversight when it did not happen.

We confirmed with [redacted] that NO PAYMENT was received in July. Most importantly, your payment was due on or around the 23rd, when you signed on your truck, you were already 12 days past due. When we obtained the payoff, no late fee had been added. At any rate, the decision not to provide a letter is FINAL. See attached.
