East Payment Solutions Inc Reviews (25)

Review: East Payments had two sales reps come out to my business to solicit credit card machines and services. I told them that I was currently locked into a contract with another provider and had a cancellation fee. They stated that they would cancel the service and pay the cancellation fee. I recieved my terminal on October 25, 2012. I have not used the other service since October 24, 2012. Since that date I have still been charged by both companies. I spoke with [redacted] in regards to the overdraft fees and charges from the other company around January 25, 2013 and was told that he would take care of the problem after we had resolved another issue. I spoke with him again on February 26, 2013 and was told to email him the list of charges.

I finally recieved a response on March 11 ,2013 after contacting the office again in regards to my credit.

Hi [redacted],

Per our conversation earlier, as I mentioned the $100 debit was for an Anual Fee which can be found on page 3 of the agreement, and in your program guide.

As for your previous charges, I can credit partial fees that you were charged although if your account was not closed after a certain amount of time and you were billed it is expected that you should close the account on your own.

I will issue you a $100 credit. $50 for your $35 chargeback fee and partial return for the Anual fee. And lastly $50 for previous charges from [redacted]

Thank you,

CEO

East Payment Solutions

I, at that point, sent a email to him letting him know that the amount of $100 was unexceptable.

Unfortunately, I was charged full amounts not partial amounts. Total fees in the amount of $370 was charged to my account. I am a small business and do not have any money to just give away. If I had been told by you or your staff that I was responsible for cancelling my prior services I would have taken care of it. I have contacted your office on a few different occasions in reference to this matter and was never told that I had to close anything myself. Per our conversation in January, when my other funds were released, you stated that you would take care of it and the fees after that matter was resolved.

Therefore your offer of $100 is completely unexceptable.

After leaving numerous messages I was finally able to speak with him today April 11, 2013. After again requesting my refund, I was then told that I should have taken care of the cancellation myself so he would not be able to give me a full credit for my charges but they would still pay to have the service cancelled. After I told him again that this was unexceptable and I was going to report him he stated that if I was going to report him to Revdex.com he would not pay me anything. I continue to pay my monthly fees to both companies and am very upset by his responce and his bad business ethic.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of $375. This is for the total of charges and fees and the new $5 charge for the month of April from the previous provider. I would also like them to close out the prior service and pay the cancellation fee as stated on day one.

Review: Originally signed off on contract for $35/month in total.

Later on, we found out the contract was illegally revised to $85/month without us knowing anything about it. Now the business has been automatically pulling two amounts of $57.95 and $85 per month each.

We cancelled the contract because they illegally changed it without our knowledge. Now the leasing company harasses us everyday by calling our work phone, every single day multiple times asking us to pay, when the contract is cancelled and they are acting unethically.Desired Settlement: We want the company to stop contacting us and from their end our relationship with them in all entirety. Complete termination of contracts and contact.

Review: Dear Representative of Revdex.com,

My name is [redacted], owner of [redacted] in [redacted], Virginia. I am emailing to file a complaint against East Payment Solutions (EPS) regarding my last few Merchant Statements (summary of bank deposits). The rate EPS has charged my shop has steadily increased over the past few months. Originally when I made the agreement with EPS, a representative of the company, **. [redacted], ensured me that the overall rate would be lowered to 2.2% total charges to the credit card sales (includes everything). I have a copy of a handwritten message from **. [redacted] to verify this. The Vice President of EPS, **. [redacted] also verified **. [redacted]’s assurance at the time of our agreement.

Unfortunately, each month the statement has shown an increased total charge to our account. In December, [redacted]’s credit sales totaled $8,020.02, and the total charge to our account was $399.12, plus $52.20 for leasing the credit card machine (5.63% rate of charge). In January, our credit sales totaled $9,246.73, and the total charge was $458.89, plus the $52.20 machine fee (5.53% rate of charge). In February, our credit sales totaled $8,991.36, and the total charge was $534.45, plus the $52.20 machine fee (6.53% rate of charge). As you can see, I am most distressed at the obvious increase in charge rate, and disregard for the initial agreement of 2.2% rate.

After receiving each of the aforementioned statements, I called EPS to complain about the increase and overcharge. Upon receiving the December statement I contacted the company repeatedly, finally receiving an Adjustment Transaction Listing in February, detailing a $160.00 offer of credit back in response to overcharging me. In addition, the company promised me both that the Merchant Statement for February would show a drop in total charge rate, and that they would deliver additional credit back.

I am sorry to say that when I received February’s Merchant Statement in March, it actually showed an increase from 5.53% to 6.53% total charge rate, and I received zero credit back. This blatant disregard for both our business agreement and the promises EPS made me in February forced me to immediately cancel [redacted]’s account with EPS, and move my business to Wells Fargo Merchant services. As a small business owner, I have never encountered such an utter lack of integrity in my business dealings, and feel as though East Payment Solutions has cheated me for the past several months by severely raising the total charge to my account despite repeated reassurance that the problem would be fixed.

Now, I feel entitled to compensation for the overcharges in the months of January and February. Both months showed a total charge to my account that far surpassed EPS’ initial agreement of a 2.2% rate. I called EPS this morning to request the due credit back as soon as possible, and was told that EPS would not provide any credit back because I had already closed my account with them. I have already moved my business, and would never consider dealing with EPS again, but feel as though this money is due to me after being cheated for three months. If there is anything the Revdex.com can do to help me with this issue, it would be very much appreciated.

Attached are pictures of the handwritten note and each Merchant Statement for the months of December, January, and February. Let me know if I can provide you with any further documentation.

Thank you so much for your time.Desired Settlement: I would like to recieve credit back in compensation for the overcharges for Janurary and February to my account. I would prefer for it to come as soon as possible.

Review: EPS My name is [redacted] and I am owner of [redacted]. About a year ago I met the owners of East Payment Solutions, [redacted] ,one of the owners, walked into my restaurant and introduced himself as the owner of a merchant processing business. He seemed like a nice man and very intent on switching my credit card processing so that I could save a lot of money. During that time, I was using other Merchant Services. After he convinced me to switch companies, he returned with [redacted] who then introduced himself as [redacted]’s partner.

Since they represented themselves as the owners of the entire credit card processing company, they insisted that there would not be a middle man and I could start saving money immediately by using their service. They promised to pay my termination fee of $295.00 so that I could use their service without any worries. Yet after I had terminated my contract with the current Merchant Services, East Payment Solutions refused to pay my termination fee. I told [redacted] and [redacted] that I would not sign a contract just in case if that later on I needed to cancel the service, I did not want to find myself in a problematic situation. They assured me many times that there would not be a contract or any hidden fees and that I would be able to switch companies at my convenience.

This all occurred during the busiest season at my establishment. They returned to my store with several papers and told me that they were necessary for processing my information and depositing the money into my account. After that they convinced me that this company would process all of my Credit / Debit Card transactions. Come to find out that the rate they had given me was amongst the highest rates in the market that anyone could get!

Also, they signed me up for a Check processing service (the machine was defective) that I did not want or need yet despite telling them several times that I did not want that service, they did not cancel it. After sometime, I began to receive my monthly statements and I discovered that [redacted] and [redacted] were in fact contractors for a company called [redacted]; and that [redacted] and [redacted] were only middle men responsible for supplying new clients to [redacted]. By end of the month, I was being charged through [redacted] (not through East Payment Solutions) as they processed my transactions. Then to my surprise, I discovered that I was also being charged through the [redacted] company.

When I confronted **. [redacted] about these multiple transaction he told me that he was not making profit by processing my transactions. **. [redacted] and **. [redacted] were being dishonest and manipulative and stole a lot of money from my business under the premise of cutting some of the costs of running my establishment. I hope that the Complain List will be able to assist me in resolving this issue with East Payment Solutions.Desired Settlement: returned the money stole from me. get Northern Leasing System to refund my money and fix my credit.

Review: The CEO of the company Michael F[redacted] behavior was malicious, unprofessional and used bad language toward me. Kicked me out of his office because I pointed out his business practices were not ethical and they use false advertising to get you to sign contract with their business!!! I have never experienced such bad customer service from a company!!! Michael F[redacted] CEO was very verbally abusive to the point where I felt I needed to call police. I would not recommend EPS to anyone!Desired Settlement: I want Michael F[redacted] CEO to apologize for such unprofessional behavior!!
