We work with the warranty rep directly, not the warranty company unless a full claim is made-which they have not made doneOnce a claim is made, then GMC would work with the warranty companyWe have worked with the rep of the company extensivelyThe coverage is day one coverage, if they were to actually call the warranty company they would see that all our contracts are sold day one coverageIf they have a claim for the warranty, they need to make the claim and have the warranty company do their jobWriting refusals for Revdex.com responses is not going to get the warranty claim started

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: they are LIARSEverything in their statement is a lieThey were aware of the broken wheel: their mechanic even told me about itNo damage with that wheel occurred during my care with the vehicleI have pictures to prove itThey also did not sell me a vehicle for 25,I'm aware I bought a used car as is, but I have written statements from Lexus that state this car was in an accident according to their databaseI also was not aware of the option to purchase a warrantyThe fact that the car has been in an accident gives me every right to sue themI'll see them in courtSincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I don't feel like it has resolved anything, or why it's remotely okay for a business such as Eastlake Auto Brokers to be selling consumers tampered vehiclesI feel like I deserve every penny back that I had to put into the Murano to make it be safe to drive, as well as pass emissions After the initial findings of the tampering, I immediately called my credit union to stop paymentI told them what was going on, and of course they took the allegations seriously, and followed up with EastlakeA liaison from [redacted] went to the dealership and asked if there could be some sort of resolutionThe credit union said they spoke with ***, Dylan's wife, and were told that they would help fix ALL of what was wrong with thatWhen I brought that to Dylan's attention, he made me feel like I was the one misunderstanding, and that certainly wasn't the caseSeveral weeks go by, and Dylan agrees to fix and pay for the major issues (the tampered part of the car, which equated to nearly $4,in damages)I asked for a paper statement indicating what would be taken care of by Eastlake, and Dylan refused to help meNo where at any time did Dylan bring up a "hold harmless" form, until I had dropped the car back off at the dealershipDylan had every opportunity to notify me that he would be making me sign a piece of paper to help me, and he didn't At the end, this still makes me wonder....how is it okay for a company to get away with selling a tampered vehicle?! I was told by mechanics at Campbell-Nelson (you can confirm my statements from them if you'd like) that it would be IMPOSSIBLE for Eastlake to have not noticed the tampered areas of the vehicle, if they actually did the inspection that's required by lawOr, possibly, Eastlake tampered with the MuranoI'm not pointing the finger at them that they tampered with the vehicle, but I certainly agree that they had to have known in one way or anotherI feel like that's scamming the consumer...which would be illegalI'm going to try and attach all of the documents and photos I have regarding this matter, if it allows me Sincerely, [redacted]

To: [redacted] , Lead Revdex.com Resolution ConsultantFrom: Gella [redacted] , Eastlake Auto Brokers, Kirkland, WA.Re: Issue ID # [redacted] There are two issues at play here regarding the Mazda that was purchased on April 21st.(1) The vehicle was not purchased "AS IS", rather a warranty was purchased through [redacted] Insurance at the time of the vehicle purchase Any major power-train issues that are legitimate should be submitted through [redacted] Apparently the party who purchased the Mazda, purchased the [redacted] warranty, and at the same filed this issue with the Revdex.com either has chosen not to reach out to [redacted] , or refuses to do so for whatever reason.(2) We have offered to have our in-house mechanic thoroughly check out the vehicle, and the issue in question, as we know of no reputable repair shop that is going to properly diagnose the issue in question for $as suggested by the present owner We continue to put forth the offer to have our in-houses mechanic check the Mazda in question We will expedite an appointment for the buyer upon receiving a phone call and requesting an appointment.Thank you for your time and consideration.Gella [redacted] Owner/PartnerEastlake Auto Brokers [redacted] Kirkland, WA [redacted] cell

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Eastlake Auto Brokers specifically told us that they had to take it to the GMC dealer because they were unable to fix the GMC Canyon in their own shop [redacted] and his wife, ***, did not say that we would be using our warranty, but said they would take care of the repairsI have reviewed our warranty paperwork and we did not purchase a day warranty as [redacted] has mentioned in his responseI have attached a photo of our warranty contract to show that it is not a day warrantyWe are not able to submit a claim on the warranty we purchasedAs mentioned in my original complaint, we expect Eastlake Auto Brokers to purchase the GMC Canyon back for the price they sold it forWe would be willing to purchase back our original vehicle (the GMC Sierra) that is now for sale on their lotIt is listed at $33,but we would only be willing to pay the price that we sold it to them forIf we did this, we would expect Eastlake Auto Brokers to pay off the loan that we have for the GMC CanyonAs we have told ***, there is no other vehicle on his lot that we would be interested in purchasing Sincerely, [redacted]

Revdex.com: obviously he will do absolutely nothing about what his own employee said said to me about fixing the issues with the vehicle Also the notion of him lying about when I contacted them about the issues really is unnerving even after I provided proof I'm sorry to say I will take other avenues of actionsIt's just too bad he is unable to do the right thing I guess we all have a different mind set of what character meansAs for the Revdex.com we are settled, I am still not satisfied with the outcomeI learned my lesson and warn people, and let them know my story in my dealingsI have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meSincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Now that it is days since the purchase of the vehicle and days since the discovery of the engine problem, it is hard to believe that the Broker is still under the impression that I have still not fixed the problemI wished to hold the Broker accountable for the engine problem because it was clearly a pre-existing issue and thus they illegally sold me a car that was not in proper operating conditionThis falls under the Implied Warranty of Merchantibility laws, as reinforced by clauses in the [redacted] warrantyI was under the impression that [redacted] would reject the claim due to it being a pre-existing condition, and, thus, the Broker's responsibilityHowever, [redacted] did in fact accept the claim and I have since received a replacement engineI have all of the documentation detailing the in-depth inspection performed by my mechanic, along with pictures of the damaged parts inside the engineIn total, the repairs cost me $and the rental car cost me $I wish to be reimbursed for these charges (total $1333.75)I can send copies of all the relevant receipts and documentation if desired.Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I did not leave the dealership with the documents describedI had to request them and received them via email on July 25, I agree I purchased the car "As Is"Except I was misled as to the safety of the carI was told by Erica d [redacted] (Eastlake Salesperson) that the car was safe and that Eastlake Motors has certified mechanics, when in fact the axle was improperly installed (see initial complaint attachment: Green Drop Auto Receipt: Page 6)("the axel wasn't install {sic} all the way in and damage little bit of the splines""Looks like somebody drop tank and pull wires and replaces something inside the tankThere are sign of gas leak" If I had brought the car to a mechanic to have it cleared prior to purchasing it, the issues would not have been caught because, per my mechanic at Green Drop Garage, someone had cleared the OBDcodes and I would have to have driven the car 50-miles to get the codes alerts to return. To further support that I agree I purchased the car “as is”—I have replaced the tires, headlights, brakes, alternator, water pump and timing belt, I have had new keys made, and purchased a cargo coverI am not requesting reimbursement for any of this because I accept responsibility for purchasing a used carI wonder what mother would drive away from a car dealership with an “as is” car knowing the axel was broken with small children and a dog in the car? As a member of the Washington State Independent Auto Dealers Association, Eastlake Autos, I would think would sell used cars “as is” but still safe?Sincerely, [redacted]

Re: Complaint # *** ~ *** ***
***,
We are following up with you as requested per Complaint #
***. We have followed up with Zurich Insurance regarding the extended warranty contract purchased by *** *** on a Nissan Quest
We contacted Zurich Insurance, and have been informed that NO claims have been filed with them, and NO claims have been denied. We make this point because Ms*** says in her complaint, “The warranty will not cover any of the things they said that it would cover.” Ms *** also said in her complaint, “They said that the warranty they sold me would cover all of the cost for the repairs and they said I could take it to any dealer to get it fix.” It is essential for Ms*** to understand that the extended warranty is written to cover MAJOR mechanical issues such as the failure of the Engine/Motor, Transmission, Drive-Train, and some electrical components such as Air Conditioning for example. If Ms*** was to experience an issue with the motor or transmission for example, she would be spending significantly more on the repairs for ONE major issue than the money she has invested in the cost of her extended warranty. And yes, she can have her warranty work performed at any ASE Certified Repair Shop or dealership
With that being said, Zurich Insurance is the premiere extended warranty company in the business, and is an excellent value for the dollar investment. An extended warranty serves as “health insurance” for a vehicle for FUTURE major issues that may arise down the road, and not for regularly scheduled maintenance
An extended warranty does NOT cover vehicle MAINTENACE, which is different from major MECHANICAL failures to such major components as mentioned above. Many of the issues Ms*** mentioned in her complaint to the Revdex.com are automotive maintenance issuesMs *** states, “The speedometer does work it shows that I’m going miles or more when is not even in gear. The transmission oil has not been changed, the spark plugs need to be change, the alignment need to be done, the power steering is leaking oil.” There is NO warranty that covers maintenance, and these issues mentioned above are ALL maintenance issues. Ms*** is asking/expecting issues to be covered that are not part of the warranty. Also, a warranty is not going to cover items such as a battery or tires for example
Other issues mentioned by Ms*** in her complaint are considered “wear and tear” issues on a vehicle that is ten-years old and has more than 92,500-miles. Virtually all ten-year old vehicles have normal/regular service issues that need to be addressed.
Eastlake Auto Brokers did discount the vehicle by $from the advertised price as a good faith gesture. And we always are willing to perform service work for customers who have purchased vehicles from us. We deeply discount the hourly labor rate, and we offer to discount parts to cost of parts plus ten-percent
We are more than willing to work with Ms*** on issues that are of concern to her. However like everyone else, we cannot perform the work for free
I will mention that Eastlake Auto Brokers regularly sells more than vehicles a year. We do not sell vehicles with salvaged, branded, and/or re-built titles. And I might add, we deal with less than ten complaints such as this one each year. So we believe we have a pretty good batting average with our customers
The thing to remember when purchasing a used/pre-owned vehicle is this; it is impossible to know the driving patterns and total maintenance history of a pre-owned vehicle And it is also important to remember that every time one takes a vehicle to an automotive service shop, they will find something that needs to be done…as that is how they make their money
Please let us know how we can be of service in any way
Sincerely,
Dylan and Gella A***

Client should have cancelled this complaint based off of us fixing the vehicle

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:I called Tim the very next day in which I have proof of and not the day later as he saysAnd he is also neglecting to acknowledge what he's employee said to me and my brother who was present in negotiations with the carWe asked Tim if we found problems with the car that they would take care of it The main problem I would like to be fixed is the cruise controlIf they can not do then the VW dealership across the streetThis is hardly slanderous, I'm just asking them to do what they said they would do. Sincerely,*** ***

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
Yes, when one purchases something "as is" they accept responsibility for the product afterwardsWith the exception of how the product is presentedPer the Multi-point vehicle inspection I was presented with by Eastlake Autos, the cv drive axle boots or driveshafts and u joints were marked "ok"Also the digital codes had been cleared on the car and so I had no way of knowing the true "as is" quality of the car because it was misrepresentedIf I had been informed that the digital codes had been cleared and that there were issues with the axle then I would absolutely be responsible for purchasing "as is"But I misled to the true "as is" qualities to this car
Honestly Gella, do you think I would have driven away from your dealership with my friend, small children and my dog in the car if I knew the "as is" condition of this car was not safe?

We encourage both *** *** and you to read once again the documents that she signed at the time of purchase of the Honda Pilot back in July of
Despite what *** *** may claim, she did sign and receive a copy of all the State of Washington documents that were referred to in our initial response And to just refresh ***'s memory, and yours as well, *** *** was offered and declined the option to purchase an extended service warranty for her vehicle that had more than 90,plus miles at time of purchase Obviously, she is wanting/expecting us at Eastlake Auto Brokers to pay for her future maintenance for the next 90,000, even though she declined the purchase option of the extend warranty
We are not going to get into a She-said-We-said argument ~ discussion with *** *** or the Revdex.com on this issue This is the very reason the State of Washington REQUIRES all of these documents to be signed at time of purchase There is a certain amount of redundancy with the numerous documents that pertain to vehicles that are sold "AS IS" in the State of Washington by auto dealers We cannot go back to *** and complain to her about issues with the vehicle she traded it We accepted it AS IS as well
We at Eastlake Auto Brokers consider this a closed matter...and strongly encourage *** *** to re-read all of the documents she signed and that she received a copy of last July

Mr *** *** did purchase a vehicle from Eastlake Auto Brokers but we didn't receive a call from him until days after the purchase of his vehicle that he had a few "minor" issues with his vehicle. We told him to bring the vehicle in and our shop would give it a quick look.
His three issues with the vehicle were 1.) he thought the windshield wipers motors was out. When our ASE certified techs looked at the vehicle the windshield wipers were working perfectly normal. Mr *** complained that they motor was too loud. Our techs said it appeared noise levelWe decided since the motor was functioning properly it didn't need to be replaced. We said if Mr *** wanted it done we would do parts and labor at cost. 2.) His second "minor" issue was he felt the brakes were sticking. We inspected them as well and found that the front brakes were brand new and the rears were at MM. Our techs also stated the brakes were functioning and didn't need any repair. 3.) Third "minor" issue with his vehicle was the cruise control wasn't working. We attempted to scan his computer to see what the error was but couldn't because our scanner wouldn't communicate with VW's computer system. We told Mr*** he would have to take it to VW dealership to have it diagnosed. We feel we did everything we could for Mr***. He was a hard negotiator and got a $discount on the vehicle. That along could fix his cruise control issue as that is the only issue that is valid the other two issues we inspected and found were functioning appropriately. At the time of the sale we encouraged Mr*** to protect his investment by purchasing an extended service contract. He declined. We simply don't offer free warranties on vehicles. We offered to do any repairs he wanted at cost, but he refused. Mr *** is simply trying to slander our business because we wouldn't do "free" work for him. He got a very nice vehicle with no "major" issues

We gave a $1500 discount that is more than 3 times what it will cost to fix the cruise control.  Also Mr. [redacted] was offered an extended warranty to protect his investment, he declined.  I have 6 forms from Mr. [redacted] stating he was aware that he was buying the car as is with no implied warranty of any kind.  It makes no sense for him to come back to us and expect free work.  He wanted the absolute lowest possible price and that is what he got.  There is not money left to help with minor repairs.  That is why we stress protecting your investment with an extended warranty plan.  Mr [redacted] was aware of this as he signed SIX forms stating that he was purchasing the vehicle with no implied warranty. This complaint has no legal merit of any kind.  I did state we could do the work at our cost (parts and labor).  We have gone above and beyond for Mr. [redacted].  He got a very nice Jetta at a wholesale price.
