Like I said beforeHad I actually known that I had to hold their hand throughout the process, I would have done soHad I actually known that I had to double check that they turned off the water firmly, I would have done soThey claim I signed a contract at least eight times and I probably didBut I did it in my new house, not my old apartmentTherefore, giving me no opportunity to read it, even IF I was going to read all that fine printThe only time I signed something was when they were finished and I was paying them $The more I think about this, the more it upsets meThese "professionals" disconnect more washers in one day than I have I my lifeAnd they want to make it my responsibility?!? I thought that's why you hire professionals and don't try doing it yourself

Please see attached invoice totaling $for the light cover destroyed by Easy Moving Company that I am indeed responsible forIf you have any questions feel free to contact [redacted] at the Firestone apartmentsThe lease is under my wife's name which is Tiffany Yates which would've been easy to find out if I had ever been contacted by Easy Moving Company regarding my claim

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because you nor your claims team have adequately responded to YOUR team's failure in packingSignatures were provided to acknowledge that the truck was loaded and the day's work was completeBut there was no way to know how poorly your team's packing and loading effort was until the truck would be unloadedIs your expectation that the customer watches how each box is packed and loaded by your team to determine accountability? Take a look at the picture attached, which was taken when the truck door was opened upon arriving at the destinationExplain how it's the shippers or unloaders fault for the following:- Unwrapped and unprotected piano- Unwrapped and unprotected bed frames, dressers, cabinets, drawers- Poorly wrapped picture frames and mirrors- Countless other issues that occurred during PACKING and LOADING, not shipping and unloadingYour team cut every corner possible to load the truck as quickly and inefficiently as possible knowing that they would not be the ones responsible for unloading the absolute mess they createdYou can conveniently try to hide behind the shippers and unloaders, but ultimately, you are passing on accountability for your team's complete failure to uphold your end of the contractYour company should have NEVER taken this project as you all have shown to be completely inadequate at delivering on the most basic of services that you supposedly provide.Lastly, you nor your claims department have acknowledged the outright THEFT of personal propertyOpening a box marked "Liquor" to find nothing but empty liquor boxes needs to be addressedWhere are the actual bottles of liquor that were inside?Not only does your team sufficiently damage countless items of my personal property due to their complete and utter negligence, they had the audacity to STEAL from me knowing that I would not discover the theft until arriving in OhioDespicable.The chargeback only covers the first days feesI expect no less than a full refund of the 2nd days fees of $cash and a respectable settlement for having to deal with all of the damages and replacing stolen property.I await your response.Regards, [redacted] ***

You see them referring to this move as an "alleged" move---that's the kind of business they are running at Easy Moving Co! The rates for long hauls are estimated/quoted based on amount of items to be moved, from where to where, stairs, timing and when Additionally rates are discounted based on flexibility of going with other shipments going to the same locations and even possibly going in the same direction even though not quite the same town In this case, we did not have another move going from the same town, but did have one going from Killeen By doing so and putting both moves onto the same moving vehicle, we also allowed a discount for the other customer as well The non-refundable deposit was clearly verbally stated upon the initial estimate as well as noted at the time custscheduled this move The discounts are non-refundable because of the discounted rates we do give for such shipments When a customer cancels, we are not able to call the other shipments up and raise their price because of such, hence the deposit is non-refundable I have attached emails depicting correspondence about deposits Please advise if you have questions Respectfully, EMC

I have listed all reasons in previous complaintsI think this should be enough to at least warn the public of their business tacticsPeople work very hard for their money and need to know who who will or will not get them proper service and they are treated fairly

Hello,After reviewing this contract/claim by the customer, and speaking with the movers as well as the leasing agent at the complex of which the customer moved, we found no liability to this move Not only did the customer sign all documents acknowledging no damages, he also noted that he made a final walk through inspection upon completion of this move With all this, we will be making no offer of any type of settlement for this claim

Again, we stand firm on our previous decision with regards to all on this claim Additionally, [redacted] spoke to [redacted] with Firestone Apartments at ###-###-#### She confirmed no amount was owed nor charged to this guy If something or someone otherwise has contradiction to this matter, please provide receipt depicting name, phone number, unit and amount on their company letterhead She also stated that she did not have a tenant or lease under this customers' name, however did acknowledge the unit and date of this alleged incident Respectfully,Easy Moving Company

The movers told me when they broke the light in the hallway and scratched my armoire that they would take care of itI only initialed where I was told after being informed that my damages would be taken care of as there is nowhere on the contract to notate damages.Section of their contract (claims and provisions) states clearly that a written claim must be filed within days of the delivery which I did

We offered $based on the weight of the armoire noted on the paperwork as damaged We ask that the customer note any and all claims at time of move This was all that was damaged muchless noted We have no idea of the valuables she has mentioned Additionally, we state that all valuables be secured by customer prior to move I will attach and send the original estimate which was emailed to this customer as well as the carbon copy of the contract on this coming Monday Emc does acknowledge that the movers had a short time difference during this move and will make a total settlement offer of $ Respectfully, [redacted] ***

Hello, I will have this glass replaced and repaired no later than end of day on 6.14.15, provided this customer will make herself available for this In the event, we can not replace such glass or stripping, we will then reimburse her for such We are obligated to replace the piece broken (glass), not install it I am having this installed as well as a gesture of apology for being late on this matter.Respectfully,Easy Moving Company

Easy Moving reviewed the contract and facts presented by the customer. Additionally, we spoke to the movers. They do acknowledge that the washer lid was damagedUpon completion of this move, the customer was not only asked, but signed off showing that they did a complete walk through and noted claims. They did so with the washer. With regards to the alleged $150.00, one of the movers stated that the stand was turned on its side at one point in the effort of packing the truck. He suggested that the customer remove the drawers and look to see if the money may have fallen outside the drawer into the stand. We do apologize for the incident with the washer and will gladly reimburse the customers’ cc for our contractual liability limit of the per pound. As far as the alleged $missing, we will not offer any type of settlement for such. We do state on our estimate and contract that all valuable be secured prior to our arrival which is the remaining factor of our decision Respectfully, Easy Moving

I was bullied into signing the document and my son is a witness to all that happenedI can see by all the other complaints they do not wish to pay for any damages to anyoneThe armoire alone was years old and cost much more than thatI showed how the shed was ripped with no tools used and fell down right after they leftThey also left when it was dark so how can I tell something was missing right awayI did say to them that the bookcase was missing and they said oh we probably left it at the other placeWhen we went to check it was not there thereby they stole itThis company sends thugs and when you only have that day to move you are not left with much of a choiceIt is also their job to pad and secure the items on the truck and not step on your thingsIt is also their job not to scratch things by placing them upside down across a floorOr to hit your lighting when going from one room to the nextCareful they are notEverything was damaged and people deserve better then the way I was treatedHopefully the DMV will pull their license because they are horrid

Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below.The company told me they would be at my location around two pm, I was home and waiting for them when they finally showed up at 6:pm, I have multiple witnesses that can attest to what time I was home and available for the move, also I had someone come and help me move the horses and they were at my house with me waiting for the pm arrival of the movers that did not occur I was quoted for a complete move, not part of my furniture, but the movers did not show up in a 26ft truck, nor did they pack it to capacity I did make the final call to quit the move for the night after midnight, the men were exhausted as was I, it was miles to the new house and with the skill level of the drivers and the rural unlit location it would not have been safe for them to back the truck up to my new house, the driveway is narrow with an extreme drop off.The workers DID NOT travel to the new house until the next day, so the trip was NOT repeatedIt was not until the men were at the new location that any mention of additional fees were made and they refused to unload anything until the balance and the additional charges were paid. I gave Rhonda who quoted the move to me a complete list of all my furniture, made her aware of the staircase in the apartment I was moving from as well as the large number of totesthe quote for a mile move was still $868.00, my problem is the added costs and the move being over $and not completed. Items were damaged and the two men working are aware of the furniture damage as I showed it to them before they leftI will take pictures of damages tonight so that I can send them in as well.
I will gather statements from my witnesses as well as pictures and the contractI do have the flat rate email quote as well if that is needed

the movers did not forget to turn the water off. It would be apparent if the water had been left on (such as the mover disconnecting such would be soaked as well as the customer observing as well). It is possible that the water may have began to trickle or something after leaving the
residence. Additionally, as stated and signed/agreed on the moving contract, we do not cover water connections of any type as it is the final responsibility of the customer. This claim has previously been addressed and denied by our company. Our position stands as denied
