Great company. Well managed with top installers.

The salesman and the instalation crew were efficient, knowledgable and professional. I used a cheaper company/estimate years ago and what a difference Easy Turf was! I could not be happier with the results and they helped me submit the rebate from the water company. They are also giving me four door mat size samples to accent the doors around my front yeard!
By the way, they did my front yard and please feel free to drive by and look at it! If I am home I will even talk to you about the whole process! Just ask [redacted]., my sales rep, for my address!
Todd

We are thrilled with the results of our EasyTurf. Great company to work with and [redacted] certainly knew all about his products and helped us make a great decision. I highly recommend this product and company.

[redacted],

Thanks...

for taking my call earlier today.  I am in receipt of complaint 10090729 from [redacted].  [redacted] is not, and has never been, a customer of ours.  He did get a quotation from us once, but decided to instead engage a handyman (his label, not mine) to do his synthetic turf installation.  That is the less expensive way to go, but not the wisest.

The handyman came to one of our parking lot clearance sales in March 2013 and purchased heavily discounted, obsolete turf.  He actually came in at least twice because he did not purchase enough the first time and/or they decided to add additional areas.  This installer had already been a customer of ours and was operating as an independent contractor and not as an employee of Mr. [redacted].  Somehow, when he got to installing the backyard, he was left with two pieces of turf that didn’t match.  That is entirely not our problem, but after being badgered by Mr. [redacted], we agreed, solely in the interest of customer satisfaction, to take back the mismatched turf and to replace it with matching turf.  This is despite the fact that our parking lot clearance sale invoices clearly state – no refunds, no returns, no exchanges.

Mr. [redacted] then demanded that we come to his house and assist with the reinstallation as his installer was having some difficulty.  The reality is, and we told him this directly, is that he should not have been installing anyone’s turf on such a steep slope.  We provided some assistance to the installer and left him to finish the job.

The second installation did not end well, either and somehow Mr. [redacted] believes that we are responsible.  He never purchased anything from us, he never paid us for an installation, we exchanged his turf despite our policy to the contrary and we provided installation guidance to his handyman.  Still, we are the problem in Mr. [redacted]’s opinion.  The reality is that our transaction was 100% with the independent contractor and he had a separate agreement with Mr. [redacted].  If there is any issue with the product, we would handle that with our customer, the contractor.  If there is an issue with the installation, that is entirely between Mr. [redacted] and the person that he chose to do his installation.

We had not heard a word from Mr. [redacted] since April 2013, when suddenly last month he started calling our parent companies main office in Montreal.  He apparently thought that he could get them to pressure us to see things his way, as he didn’t try to contact us prior to reaching out to them.  He called four different people, several times each, including a secretary, before he was finally told to go away and stay away by the CEO of FieldTurf.  That obviously agitated him enough that he contacted you.

By the way, his installer wants nothing to do with him any longer.  That is probably why Mr. [redacted] is coming after us instead of going after the handyman for a poor installation.  We discussed the possibility of doing something just to make him go away, but the handyman was too afraid that Mr. [redacted] would just keep demanding more and more of him and of us.

Several people at EasyTurf, including myself, have spoken directly with Mr. [redacted] about the situation.  No amount of explaining or number of reasonable analogies has dissuaded him from believing that we owe him a free turf installation, when he never bought anything from us.  He is very pleasant on the phone, but talks in circles and twists the words of whoever he is speaking with.  All of us have been frustrated by trying to have a reasonable conversation with him.

Sorry that this email is so long, but this has been going on for over a year and he just doesn’t get it.  He has stated that he will not let this go and that he has all kinds of time to harass us.  We, on the other hand, are very busy and do not have time to continually deal with his emails and phone calls.

I appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter.

Regards,

The installation went very well! Highly recommend this company, Easy Turf!

[redacted],

I have attached the invoices for the transactions that are in dispute.  S & L Landscape was the customer for both of these transactions.  The fact that [redacted] used Mr. [redacted]'s credit card to pay for them doesn't change that fact.  [redacted] came to our parking lot sale and presented himself as the customer.  I do believe that Mr. [redacted] accompanied him on one of his two visits to our facility, but it was [redacted] (S & L) who purchased the materials and who was written up on our invoices.  Please also note the clearly stated "All Sales are Final" on the bottom of the order form as this was a parking lot clearance sale of obsolete merchandise.  The turf that was purchased normally sold for $3.99 per square foot, before the clearance sale.  [redacted] (and Mr. [redacted]) wanted the cheapest turf we had available and this had been discounted to $1.10 per square foot in order to move it out of our warehouse.  The fact that the turf didn't match, after they purchased it on two separate days, and stated to us that it was for several different areas around the home is not something that we should be held responsible for.  Despite this fact, we did exchange his turf (though we never got the original turf back) and we did offer assistance to [redacted] when he had trouble getting the install right.  We did that in the hope of ultimately satisfying Mr. [redacted] and to help out our customer, S & L Landscape.  Unfortunately, that wasn't enough to satisfy Mr, [redacted] and now he is contacting anyone and everyone to try to get even more out of us.  Also of note is the fact that these parking lot sale transactions occurred in February and March of 2013, over 16 months ago.

So, to summarize, it was a parking lot clearance sale, the turf selected was discontinued and heavily discounted and was clearly sold as "all sales are final".  [redacted] (S & L Landscape) presented himself as the customer and we had no reason to question that.  The turf was purchased on two different days and we were told that it was for more than one area.  Despite all of that, we made a good faith effort to rectify the situation, but it wasn't enough.  We replaced obsolete turf with newer turf at no additional charge and we provided professional assistance to our customer S & L Landscape.  None of that was enough to satisfy Mr. [redacted], so we moved on well over a year ago.  We heard nothing from him until recently, when he resumed his efforts to get us to re-install the turf that he never paid us to install.

Sincerely,

[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Fact #1, our yard was NOT treated with chemicals, as two of our neighbors yards were, in fact treated (1-2 times) as previously shown in letter from [redacted], which was attached to previous complaint.
Fact #2, this process of utilizing Revdex.com is just a way for Easy Turf to stress is out further over the way we were treated, the lies that were told to us (although we did not "call anyone a liar" to their face), and the entire mess of what transpired.
Fact #3, I provided documents (emails) proving our side of the story, yet Easy Turf merely quotes certain portions of my emails or social media posts which they feel serve them best. This is not an honest practice.
Fact #4, we have merely stated our side of the story, as well as provided documents to attach as evidence. On the other hand, Easy Turf has throughout this Revdex.com process made unnecessary personal judgenents, unethical stabs at my character, and falsely misrepresents facts not in evidence.
We want a full refund, which we are confident small claims court would provide. However, we are willing to accept a 50% refund, if, and ONLY if, this matter is resolved, closed, and reimbursed within 14 days of this date.
Regards,
[redacted]

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint.  I have spoken to all parties involved and it is clear that we did not communicate effectively.  Our company policy is to call the customer whenever we are going to be delayed or when we need to reschedule the appointment for any...

reason.  That policy was not followed, not once, but twice with this customer.  I completely understand his frustration and would feel the same way if the roles were reversed.  I spoke personally with Mr. [redacted] this afternoon and assured him that we would make an appointment to resolve his concern with his putting green at a mutually agreeable time.  The issue is not significant and should be easily rectified.  I asked to be kept informed of when the appointment is set and I will follow up personally to ensure that the problem is resolved to Mr. [redacted]'s satisfaction.

The sales person Jordon H is courteous and helpful.
The workers installed the turf in 2 days under the blazing sun and the hottest weather in Escondido. The turf looks and feels very nice. Although I can still detect the seam in between 2 big pieces.

Great people from start to finish and the lawn looks great!

Our experience with Easy Turf was wonderful. The crew members were very efficienr, polite and did an exceptional job. We love our new yard especially our dog Nellie who now spwnds time outside! [redacted] was very informative and answered all our questions. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. thanks a million. Shirley [redacted]

Jordan was very professional, gave all the appropriate information on the product and the installation was very excellent. Jordan has our highest recommendation to promote Easy Turf. Please pass on to Jordan thanks for everything.

I was very pleased with the consultant who came to my house and showed me the product. Representatives from other companies were very curt and rude. The installation crew were efficient and cleaned up perfectly at the end of the day.

I was able to quickly get ahold of a team member, got a scheduled appointment, and within my time frame had artificial turf in time for my son's graduation installed in my backyard.
My experience was positive because the company is professional and listened to my needs. I didn't feel any pressure to do anything I didn't want nor anything that I couldn't afford.
I also was told about a financing option that I didn't know existed, and I took advantage of it. It was quick and painless.

Was greatly impressed with the presentation given by [redacted] and subsequently ordered EasyTurf. Love the look and durable of the lawn. My complaint is with [redacted] who charged me $3300.00 for removal of old lawn, laying of some bricks and leveling the lawn. No complaint there. But since July 2015 I have tried to get [redacted] to submit a receipt for the $3300.00 and explanation of what was done. I need this for my taxes. I have emailed [redacted] at least 3-4 times with no response. Also emailed his employer, S. [redacted], with no response. We have given out a few of [redacted]s cards to protential buyers. I think [redacted] owes me a reply at least explaining why he won't give me a receipt.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this customer
concern.
We completed an installation at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
[redacted] in April 2015.  They have a
problem with Nutsedge (also known as Nut Grass) in their...

yard.  This is a weed that is very common in their
neighborhood.  Their installation looks
fantastic, with the exception of this weed growth.
The appearance of weeds is not covered under the warranty,
however, we have offered to pull back their turf to allow them (or a licensed herbicide
applicator) to treat the area.  Several
applications are usually required as this is a very persistent, deep rooted
weed.  We would then put the turf back in
place, at no charge to them.
This offer was originally accepted by both Mr. and Mrs.
[redacted] and then rejected in a later email and by certified letter.
This weed is very treatable with the proper applications of
Sedgehammer or similar herbicide.  Their
landscaper has quoted them an exorbitant amount to treat the area, but that is
beyond our control.
The Revdex.com complaint states that we “failed to treat their yard
with the proper chemical sprays that we treated their two neighbors yards with”.  This is untrue.  We have never treated any yard with chemical
sprays prior to installation.  We are not
licensed to do so and we simply don’t do it.
The complaint also states that we failed to respond to her
many calls and emails to EasyTurf employees.
This is also untrue.  We keep
extensive records of all customer contact and we have been in touch with the [redacted]’s
on many, many occasions, via phone, email and in person.  We have not
told them what they wanted to hear, but we have been responsive.
The complaint asks us to respond and to treat their Nutsedge and reinstall the turf.  We have been more than responsive and we have offered to pull back to the turf to
allow them (or their designee) to treat the area and to reinstall it
afterward.  They agreed to this and we
had it scheduled to happen last week.
When we called to confirm that we would be there on the agreed upon
date, they informed us that they were no longer interested in solving the
problem and demanded a full refund.
We have been back and forth on this with them.  For some reason they believe that this is an
ongoing problem but it is not.  When
properly treated, it will no longer be an issue for them.  Mrs. [redacted] has been more than rude to our
employees who have only tried to help remedy the situation.  She accused us of not installing the proper
amount of base rock (someone told her this could be the cause of the Nutsedge)
and we came out and proved to them that we had done a proper install.  She has called several of them “liars” and
has trashed us on social media.
There have been any number of other threats, accusations and
misstatements but I will leave it here.
Despite all of this, our offer to assist in resolving the
matter stands.  We did a fantastic
installation for them.  We did not
introduce this weed and are not responsible for it.  It is a very fixable situation, and we
believed that we had all agreed on a solution, only to have them change their
minds.  They informed us that they now
plan to build a courtyard in the area.

Easy Turf was very easy to work with and did everything thing they said they would do.

Excellent experience. [redacted] was fantastic. The crew was very good, professional and very nice.

Once again this is false advertisement.  I should have been shown the product that has these marks, lines, light fractions, mow lines whatever term you will call them.  As a company you need to be truthful of the end result.  The show room, pictures, and samples do not reflect any of these marking.

I want my turf to reflect what you advertise, if that means changing the turf in a different direction, and reinstalling then that's what needs to be done.
