***Customer’s Statement of the Problem:
A *** female came to my private residence at 3:p.mon 7/**/15, wearing a Family Energy
navy Blue shirt and showed Family Energy identification that was worn around her neckShe falsely stated that I am a customer of Family Energy and that she needed to see both my electric and gas bills because their customer contracts were expiring and she wanted to make sure that if my contracts with their company had expired that she signed me back up againWhen I told her that I was never a customer of her company and that I wanted her to leave she refused to do soWhen I asked her to leave again, she started quoting some official sounding numbers and stated that she would have to put me down as a refusalTo be honest I felt threatened and could only imagine that if they are doing this to me that they are doing the same to the many elderly residents that live within this neighborhood ! The last time I checked strong arm business practices were illegalI did contact the company to explain to them that I never want another representative of this company at my home again for any reason but ended up hanging up the phone out of frustration
Desired Settlement: I do not want any contact from this company or anyone contracted through this company for any reason ever again !! No further contact by the business
Response:

Complaint
Involves:
Billing
or Collection Issues
Customer’s
Statement of the
Problem:
On August *** a "supervisor" approached my fiancée and
I while loading our infant daughter into our vehicle after visiting my elderly
grandmotherI told him I wasn't interested in their services twice because I no
longer resided on the property, and my grandmother would soon be movingThe
supervisor was very pushy, he kept attempting to get into her houseI said
again we aren't interested, he asked if he could see her bill so he can show us
where we are getting ripped off by the gas companyI let him seeHe proceeded
to take her information downI said to him that she isn't going to be living
here much longer, and he said not to worry the benefits would roll over to the
next ownerI told him I had to leave but he refused to get off her propertyI
signed the paperwork after minutes of pressure, it was a very hot day and I
had an infant in my carHe told me I should sign as her spouse, I said I did
not feel comfortable with that as I am not her spouseHe then took my phone
and made a call to his companyHe told me what I should be saying and every
time I'd try to say what I wanted he would stop and correct meAfter he left I
called the company back and asked them to cancelThey said I couldn't yet call
back the next dayI called the next day, I asked the rep to cancel the
services and he didHe said there would be no chargeNow on Oct ***, shortly
after my grandmother move, a bill comes to me for $and some centsAgain, I
did not even live thereI called and canceled days after the contract was
signedI sent an email to them and received no responseI called today and
spoke to another rep who stated they had no record of me calling to cancelI explained
how I am not her spouse nor do I live in that house and the employee that was
sent would not get off the property until paperwork was signedShe said she
would escalate it, but I needed proof I called to cancelUnfortunately this
document is with my grandmother, as it was her bill and her propertyShe said
she would note my account
Desired
Settlement:
I would not like to be held responsible
for a bill when I did not reside in the house, I was asked to sign as
Someone
I wasn’t, and was bullied into signing the paperwork

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
Also stated in the contract "Usage- Family reserves the right to decline Agreement(s) if your natural gas and/or electricity supply usage is determined by Family to be too lowThis determination shall be at the sole discretion of Family".I was also notified Family declined my agreement for this reasonAlso stated in the response to my Revdex.com complaint, "On February **Family Energy cancelled your contract number ***, as per the notification received from your utility that you have enrolled with another supplier"This is incorrect, I called Family to cancel before this and was told I would receive a cancellation confirmation in the mailI solely called the utility company to verify Family would no longer have access to my accountFamily failed to cancel my contractI did not even enroll with another supplierI kindly still request your help with this matter
