Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: MrL [redacted] is a liar, the night he came up to put the new part in, his son said, who he was the one doing the work on the washer, not MrL***, that he replaced the part, ran it through a rinse cycle and said it was good to goThey left and within a half hour I attempted to wash a load of clothes, the same code came up and the washer did not workI immediately called him to say they would be back up the next day, after waiting most of the day, they finally showed up around 3:pm, his son again attempted to fix the washer and after almost hours he could not fix itTold me he would go home and look up the washer to see what the problem was, they never called or came back up the next dayThat is when I called MrL [redacted] on Monday to tell him he obviously didn't know how to fix the washer and that I would like my money backI also noticed after they left on Saturday night, that the part they took out of the washer was no longer in the box in my laundry roomI have also obtained the canceled check for the second check I gave him for $I never refused to have him do anything on the washer, he just did not know how to fix itAs far as I'm concerned, the man is a rip-off, and not a qualified technitionI would like ALL my money returned my Regards, [redacted]

[redacted] 's washing machine showed F32, which meant the problem was with the water level pressure sensor control was short-circuited The technician replaced the control, and the washing machine worked when the technician leftHe stayed through a whole cycle before she would pay A few days later Mrs [redacted] called the technician to report that she had just tried the machine and it was not workingOver the phone she said the machine read FagainThe technician knew the sensor control was newHe explained that the machine was having a problem with its control board analyzing the readouts of the controls When the technician told Mrs [redacted] the new board would cost $to $300, she said that was too much moneyShe did not even let the technician explain that he could have the part rebuilt for $ Again, she paid when she saw her machine workedIt was she who would not allow the technician to fix an underlying problem James L***Eco-Friendly Appliance Tech

September 17, 2014A few weeks ago, James L***, our main technician, responded to a request for service made by this customer (" [redacted] ***"), regarding a [redacted] gas oven that would not igniteUpon arriving at [redacted] ***'s house, James was surprised when [redacted] told him that he had taken it on himself to decide what the problem was with the stove and to buy and replace the the part he thought was faulty (the ignitor)even though [redacted] had replaced the ignitor, the oven still was not working. The technician checked all systems in the range for power and gas, except for the ignitor which [redacted] did not want him to spend time with since he said had just replaced itAll systems were fine, so finally [redacted] allowed James to see if the ignitor was installed properlyIt was not, and it was the reason the oven was not working.Ignitors are very fragile and must not come in contact with anything (i.eoil, including that from anyone's fingers, also lint or oven grease etc.)The installation of the ignitor was done poorly enough that it did not operate properly: the glow was not red hot, it was only a warm orangeIt should have glowed brightly enough to make a person look awayWhen measured, James' amp meter read only 4.6–amps, instead of the 6.0-amps needed to open the solenoids (electronic magnets) to let the gas out to ignite the flameJames explained that to [redacted] that this was where the problem was, and that the the machine needed to be repaired by a technician who would make sure the machine would not explode. He never would have told [redacted] to buy an ignitor since [redacted] is not trained in handling flammable gasThe charge of $was not for the estimate, it was for the time spent diagnosing the machine, which involved measuring all electrical flows in the machine.James' advertisement states that a service visit is free, which includes an estimate of repair feesIt does not include training people how to handle something flammable or electricalBoth of those can kill an inexperienced person

We would like to see the receipt for $120.00, because we usually collect deposits of or dollars, That is just an odd number...The issue with this repair was the time needed for the required replacement part to arriveAlthough she agreed when told that a new part arrives in days, she proved unwilling to wait? With the deposit received, we ordered a motor to replace her faulty oneFive business days later (after the weekend) when the replacement motor arrived, the customer did not want the repair done.? Because the company will not issue a refund for this part, we cannot get a refund for the part she wanted us to order. We can send her the motor she bought.Thank you,James L [redacted] ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] ? Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: What he is saying is not at all true It is correct that he visited our home the 1st time and, only with listening to our words at what was happening, he diagnosed the problem We told him that the freezer was working just fine but the refrigerator was not keeping things properly cold It is totally incorrect that there was ice on the coils How could he know that without taking it apart and seeing it for himself?? It is correct that we paid him $for the part It is true that he took the model number off the refrigerator He then called us a week later and told us that he had the part As stated previously, we are senior citizens on a fixed income When he told us how much to come back to install the part, we told him we would have to wait until our next pay period We both get SS checks the 4th week of the month, which would have been at the end of January We called him a week after that to say we had the money At that time, he told us that he used the part he got for us on someone else's refrigerator and he would have to get it again (See our Complaint for details) That whole week, he called us every day to say he got tied up and could not make it to our house On Friday of that week, he said he would be there Saturday morning On Saturday morning, he called and said the parts store closed early and he did not know why but would see us Monday morning Monday morning, he called from the parts store and said that they could not find the part with the numbers I gave him off the refrigerator, the same numbers he took down at the first visit and said he got the part for our refrigerator for Now, they could not find the number? Doesn't sound right to us (See Complaint for what happened then) We do not want this man working on our refrigerator when he either didn't know what was going on or he lied to us the first time when he said he got the part, without taking the refrigerator apart There was no reason he could no there was ice on the coils if he did not take it apart to see that We just want our $back so we can get the frig fixed by a qualified person Thank you for your time

September 11, 2015Dear [redacted] ,In the aforementioned case, the Eco-Friendly Appliance Technician diagnosed the cause of the refrigerator being warm, gave the estimate of repair to the elected representative of the owner-his daughter--of $including parts and laborThe frost buildup on the inside of the freezer and the bulging of the ice on the condenser coils was the cause of the refrigerator being warmThe refrigerator being warm was the original reason for calling for a repairAfter on many occasions (approximately one in twenty) the bulging of the ice will expand the coils and cause a leak in the weakest part of the tubingI tried to explain in simple layman's terms the situation, and the cost of repair of defrost timer, etcto the owner over the phoneIt does not seem the owner understood me very well, although he agreed to the repair of the defrost system, to see if it was the problem. When the freezer defrosted, it turned out the system had lost much of its trifluoromethaneBecause of that, although the compressor worked constantly, the freezer did not get coldI got paid to repair a defrost problem, not to warantee the entire refrigeratorAs the receipt says clearly, estimates are for labor only, material additionalWe will not be responsible for loss or damage caused by testing or any other causes beyond our control, like loss of trifluoromethaneSincerely, James L President

Bottom line w/$ credit went to change evaporator for motor All I needed was part # off the moter itself could have come rt back w/part in less than hr costing me $ customer refused I let me complete jobSentence wrong we do not charge more than $to replace evaporater fan.Sentence + wrong this wasn't part of initial agreement why did they not tell me this on 31st when I call with their partSentence 6-7-about my memory I didn't forget working on 3-thousand dollar refridgerator I'm sorry Sentence 9-no relevant Sentence "only motors on any refrigerator is evaporator motor or condencer motor nither of witch cost no more than $for any residential refrigerator this statement is obsurd" Untrue true untrue untrue true true

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: the tech did not fix the problem, the ignitor for the broiler he told me was bad so I replaced it, and he did not examine or follow up on it I installed it exactly the way it came out ( the new one) the ignitor which he said was poorly installed was on the oven not the broiler and from another tech they told me it was installed properly, Also I must state I had to tell the tech how to disassemble the oven to get at the ignitor, and he broke a connector trying to get at it He also seemed to be somewhat disoriented about the unit I would never use or recommend his services He also wanted to replace the ignitor with one that was not for my appliance, that is why I replaced it myselfand it was not the problem, I have to get another repairman to service this unit and will follow up on the results Regards, [redacted] ***

I just mailed a money order for dollars to [redacted] .Ceil L***
