Ecoline Windows Reviews (%countItem)

We looked at different Window manufacturers and felt that Ecoline was a good fit keeping out the Canadian winter. The selection and buying process was informative and straight forward. Install day was fast and efficient. Installers kept and left the site very clean. We are very happy with the performance of the windows and plan to use Ecoline for phase 2.

Hello Robin, thank you very much for your positive review. It is always a pleasure to read good things about our staff, and that you are satisfied with the product. Enjoy your new windows and thank you again!

WE HAVE USED ECOLINE WINDOWS TWICE TO REPLACE OUR OLD WINDOWS, AND HAD EXCELLENT INSTALLERS BOTH TIMES. IT IS BECAUSE OF THE HIGH QUALITY WINDOWS AND PROFFESSIONAL INSTALLERS THAT WE CHOSE ECOLINE WINDOWS FOR OUR HOUSE. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND ECOLINE WINDOWS.

Hello Linda and thank you for your positive review. We value the trust placed in our company, as well as your repeat business. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns in the future. Please keep in mind, we also offer a referral incentive in the event you decide to recommend us to friends or neighbours

I have started with this company back in May 2018 with a deposit and them stating they will have the windows and doors in no later than the end of August 2018. Well, after the worst winter on record for decades they finally made arrangements for the 13th of this month and the person who arranged it got it WRONG again by telling me on the phone she would not have made that mistake as the crew showed up today. Really? So, I got it wrong even though I wrote it in my planner and make these arrangements to make it the 13th because of the number of appointments every other day? *** The nerve to state she would never have made that mistake?? You are not a robot lady, you made the mistake plain and simple and the rest of my day is kaput to your stupid argument already this morning with me. I am really regretting what this job will look like once it is in with the number of mistakes made along the way so far! Oh, yes you sent an email that ended up in my junk folder I did not see until today you mentioned it, but really wondering now if that was to cover your own tracks/ mistakes you made. I am really regretting signing onto this company and likely will have to fight to get my deposit back!

Hello Carrie , we are sorry for all the inconveniences we might caused you , the good thing it is all resolved , Thank you.

Just remodeled out master bath and had Econoline replace a large 4'x4' window. Great product, service, communication and install. No complaints, will definitely use them again for the rest of the windows in the future.

Hello Ann, thank you very much for your positive review. It is always a pleasure to read good things about our staff, and that you are satisfied with the product. We believe in excellent customer service and honesty .Enjoy your new windows and thank you again!

If I could give them zero starts I would. It started off great, the sales person was polite and was great. He told us that the windows would ready in Oct, they were ready for instal in Aug, great we thought.
The installers drove there truck over our neighbours just laid grass, as well as killing our grass in the process, the first day they damaged walls installing the windows, we called and complained, the next day the installers brushed it off like it wasn't a big deal( we had just had that room renovated and all the walls redone). When they were "finished" they told us that we had to pay them cash or e-transfer them over 900 for the install, this was not in the contract anywhere!! They said they would be back in a couple weeks when the rest of the frames came in, it is now 6 months later I have tried to contact the company many times to have our windows finished, and re caulked in some places where drafts are coming through.
I would say save your money and go with a different company!!!!

Hello Jennifer , we are sorry for all the inconveniences we might caused you , the good thing it is all resolved , Thank you.

I would not recommend Ecoline Windows. I will say that their crew was on time, courteous, and cleaned up very well after the installation...however they made a number of mistakes and they have been unwilling to resolve them.
- Damaged the sill during installation and tried to cover the dent/scratch up with caulking. It took 3 months of us following up with them (as well as two separate appointments) before it was replaced.
- Took the wrong measurements and three of our windows were too small for the hole they cut. They used caulking to fill the 1.5" gap, which looks terrible (and I can't imagine it will stand up very well over time). This is still not resolved.
- Measured the j trim incorrectly and it was installed unevenly (it bows at the top, and there are up to 2 inches of overhang in some areas) When we mentioned this to them, they said it was normal.
- Customer Service is disorganized and apathetic. Sometimes projects like this don't go as planned, but you hope the company resolves things quickly and efficiently for you. That was not the case here, so I would save yourself the grief and go with another company.

Hello Kristy , we are sorry for all the inconveniences we might caused you , the good thing it is all resolved , Thank you.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this company. The installers seem to do great work, but the office is so poorly organized it will cost you money and sanity. What was meant to take 2 days for installation took 8 because the wrong parts were ordered etc. Never an apology and never took responsibility including refusing to replace a casing that cracked after installation.

Save yourself the trouble, find a different company with better customer service.

Mr. Loranger was trying to remove interior casings from the inside of the house and damaged it in the process. This is not covered under a warranty and will not be possible to replace them free of charge. Ecoline Windows never denies a proper service that is covered under both product and labour warranty for period of 25 years.

From the first time we met Ecoline, we've had problems. The sales person missed measuring a window and had to come back. Because within the six to eight week window no one called me to let me know an installation date, I had to call to find out when the windows were scheduled to be installed. After that Ecoline changed the date on my installation several times which we kindly accommodated. The crew installed the wrong door on Aug 7th and covered the window with plywood insert which was also accommodated, since the glass wasn't ready. The sales person knew about this but couldn't be bothered to call me to apologize for the mistake. I've been constantly on the phone with Ecoline trying to figure out what was going on with my order to the point where I had to demand to speak with the head of customer service who told me I would receive a discount for the inconvenience of the door not fitting properly the first time. I was told that he would order the blinds to be installed. Rather than the discount or the blinds I received a threatening email from the salesperson.

My complaint with Ecoline has been successfully resolved.

We had our basement windows installed by Ecoline and my husband and I were beyond thrilled with the results. Fast forward a few years... We hired Ecoline again to install all new doors and windows on the main level of our home and I am outraged. The crew at my home for installation were rude, arrogant, insensitive, messy, careless. There were scratches EVERYWHERE (they came back and buffed it out). Spray foam on the walls that we cannot clean off and have to repaint. Windows were not installed to our liking (not level, frame twisted, they assured us it has to be like this). One of the door locks that we provided didn't fit on the door. Instead of asking me to go get a new lock the installer CUT the door and tried to jam it in. They were unable to fix it so we were left waiting for a new door. They replaced the door and ended up damaging the new one! Months and months later I still have a damaged door and no one will return my calls or emails. I have completely paid my bill in full and I wish I would have held the money back to ensure they would come back. I have called and emailed numerous times and I have fallen on deaf ears.... no one calls back..... no one emails back.

Ecoline windows never leaves a project unfinished and prides itself for after sales service. Parts take 4-6 weeks to arrive from the production line and we always strive to schedule service appointments as soon as possible. Ecoline Windows had scheduled a service call with the customer directly to replace the part on Aug 21st.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Please note: We accept "resolution" BUT they are not being flexible with time and still providing sub par communication. When the door was damaged we were told it would only be one/two weeks away so they are simply providing excuses. At least they have communicated back now that I have taken this to your attention.

Sincerely

I had 9 new windows installed and 2 doors by Ecoline. They were advised that there was extra siding on the house that was being removed as I was going to be residing the residence once the windows were installed. Three of the windows were not braced correctly and have cost me an additional $1,000 to have them braced. I have been going back and forth with Ecoline and they are stalling. First I was told that they needed to have their Supervisor come out and look at the windows, which they did. Then today, July 23rd I am told that they need to have an independent come out and look. I have the siding people on site and they have almost completed the siding, but I am expected to put them on hold while Eco line takes their time on deciding if they did the installation incorrectly. So who will pay the siding contractor for their down time? I am out almost a $1,000 dollars to correct Ecolines' error. I want to be reimbursed for this.
Also there is a question on the windows being measured incorrectly. So then I will be out more that the initial cost!!!!!!!!!!
This needs to be resolved quickly. No more stalling. I need the projects completed.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:

I called back and was advised that they had no idea who had called me. I thought the name left was Jay when in fact it was ***. The lady who answered the call advised that I needed to send pictures of the deficiencies which were sent on August 7th.

I called yesterday @ 2PM and spoke with *** who advised *** would be calling me back.

I have just left another message for *** as he is on lunch.

Sales Rep Alex was awesome brought to my attention things I did not know they could do ie: vinyl window trim with the frames. Work Crew was very polite, friendly and never late for the job. Our house was left clean and tidy every day after they left. I would highly recommend them 100%. We had all 18 windows done.

Hello Janine, we were very excited to read your review and we will make sure to forward it to your project manager, installation crew and our office staff. To build a good reputation and earn customer's trust is one of the hardest things for every business. Enjoy your new windows and thank you for your positive review

In July of 2017 we signed a contract with Ecoline Windows to install new windows throughout our house and to install 3 new exterior doors. We paid them a $5,000 down payment at this point. We unfortunately have had nothing but issues with Ecoline Windows beyond this point.

First of all, installation was late. Ecoline Windows was supposed to install our windows and doors in September or October according to our written contract. Instead, after we contacted them numerous times, they set up an appointment to install in November. At which point they installed damaged product and were missing 1 window and 3 doors. We mentioned the damaged product to Ecoline Windows at this point by writing it on the service work order form. The installer stated the damage would be fixed when they came back with the rest of our order. At this point we paid them an additional $12,005.

We, again, had to contact Ecoline Windows multiple times to set up an appointment for the installation of the 1 window and 3 doors as well as get an answer as to why they were missing the 1 window during the first installation date. At this point we requested a price break down for each window and door for tax return purposes. Ecoline Windows stated this was impossible to do on numerous occasions.

When the second installation finally occurred Ecoline Windows, yet again, installed damaged product and didn’t install one of the doors due to the amount of damage. Again, we notified Ecoline Windows of the damaged product by noting it on their service work order form.

Ecoline Windows came a third time on February 12th to install 1 door (which was damaged) and re-install 2 new doors. We made note of the damage to the 1 door to the installer. Two days later we emailed Ecoline Windows to re-iterate the damage to numerous windows, window casings and the 1 door. Ecoline Windows’s staff claimed they knew nothing about the issues and that nothing was written on the service work order forms. Ecoline Windows phoned us on February 15th demanding $2,000 additional payment for the installation on February 12th. We paid them $1,000 but refused to pay more than 10% hold back at this point, as they had not addressed the deficiencies in their work.

On March 5th the installer came back to fix the damage to the windows, window casings and door. He fixed most of the damage but stated that the door has to be either painted or replaced, multiple casings need to be replaced and that there was some damage that was “not fixable”.

In mid March we noted Ecoline Windows that there was condensation on only one of the windows installed by Ecoline Windows. Ecoline Windows stated this was due to humidity in our home. This did not make sense to us, as it was only one window. We spoke with other window installation companies as well as *** and they have stated either the problem is a defective window or improper installation of the window.
We mentioned the condensation issue to them again in April and notified them that we had noted gaps in the spray foam insulation around the windows and spray foam insulation that was stuck to the window casings when we re-painted the walls in our house. These issues were not acknowledged. In addition, we asked to speak to management and they would not acknowledge this request.

In April, since it had been 9 months since we first signed our contract and we were tired and frustrated dealing with Ecoline Windows, we offered that we would accept the damaged product if they would give us appropriate compensation. In response, Ecoline Windows offered us 1% off for compensation for the damaged product. We refused and stated we wouldn’t accept anything less than 5% off and replacement of the one window with condensation issues. If they did not accept our terms, they could then fix the damaged product and we would pay them the full amount. They have since threatened us that they will take this matter to collections and that the offer for compensation is void. We have since written them back asking to speak with managers, reiterating our offer and that if they don’t accept it they are required to fix the damaged product. We also asked for the ticket number of their installers as they advertise that all their installers are certified. They have not responded to our emails.

Ecoline Windows Response • Jun 08, 2018

Even though there were multiple issues with the order, Ecoline Windows never abandoned the customers. We have reordered all of the necessary parts multiple times to make sure that the end result was satisfactory. We have offered a more than fair compensation for the remainder of the minor cosmetic concerns. Customer refused to accept it and as such were advised that the offer is void, we will be reordering the service parts again upon customer settling the remainder of the balance due. Customer should refer to the back of the contract signed. It clearly states that the remaining balance is due upon completion of the installation. While we appreciate a different professional opinion, we will not accept an opinion of any rival company ( Window company or glaziers), customer is always welcome to hire an independent home inspector to verify the quality of the installation. If customer decides to take that route of action, Ecoline windows has to be notified in writing about the date and time, so that we can send an installer responsible for the project to be present. Since customer decided to involve Revdex.com, we have ceased all of the direct communication and will be communicating through Revdex.com only.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:

I appreciate Ecoline Windows’s willingness to come in to fix the issues they call minor. The major issue they still have not addressed is the master bedroom window. We will pay the balance in full ($1,920.00) if, on top of fixing the minor work, Ecoline Windows agrees in writing to replace the master bedroom window. Only one window showing signs of condensation among all the other windows in the house is not due to humidity in the house. This is not a bathroom window(which by the way has NO condensation). Sense would dictate that there is an issue either with the window or installation.

Again, we agree to pay the balance if the master bedroom window is replaced as part of the others fixes.

Sincerely

I ordered *** windows for my basement windows on June 2017, supposed to install in August or early September 2017. I had three different install cancellation with them excuses like not ready from Factory; the installer did not get informed about installation but I did not even complain I thought they are very busy. Finally, middle of October they installed, the windows they installed not even close to ***. I asked the salesperson to we have to pass the City Inspection he assured me it will happen 99.9 % at the time of the contract signed and the windows they installed were so small I could not even call the City Inspector to come out to pass. I ask for the correct windows to be installed and they asked me I have to pay more money.
I was not happy with them and I have the lower price quote from other company for same quality windows, actually better windows, and they would not do the price match as they promised. I asked for the refund of my deposit, but they are asking nonsense condition to not to refund.

Ecoline Windows Response • Mar 26, 2018

Hello ***,

We had an agreement between yourself and Ecoline Windows that once you replace your newly installed windows and return them to us we will issue you a cheque.

Thank you.

Customer Response • Mar 27, 2018

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because there was no agreement, it was only one-way response what they going and willing to do. I need $1000.00 to sign the contract with other company. I am a single mom with 3 kids.

I do not accept not even a bit, and now, I want the Ecoline windows to deliver and install the size window that contract shows, which will require the window wall cutting and the wall to install the windows they have promised.

Window wall cutting, proper window well to be made, and new windows cost must be covered by the Ecoline windows to deliver & install the windows they have promised on the contact.

They are being really unfair, unprofessional and unreasonable. Also. I am willing to take this to Media and the court.

The window they have installed not even close to the size that the contract shows. The window they installed is about 46 inches wide and 12.6-inch height. the contact shows 48 inches wide and 20 inches height.

Revdex.com has the contract I have sent on Friday of March 23, 2018.

Sincerely

My wife and I hired Eco Line Windows to do our entire house (16 windows at over $20,000). We have been struggling to get Eco Line back to fix issues from the installation December 21-23, 2017. It is now March 3, 2018 and still no date on when they will come in to finish the job – each date gets later and later. We are not sure what else to do. I would like to be clear; it is not the windows themselves that we have issue with. It is how we have been treated after they took all of our money. The options provided by the company are not fixes. I have been told that our fixes are not a priority for their window manufacturer (however, we were told by Eco Line that they manufactured their own windows before we signed with them***). We have 7 pages of notes from the back and forth. One of our biggest regrets right now is that we hired Eco Line. We are unable to meet with Management nor do I have a tracking number for our *** submission that Eco Line was supposed to do. We cannot install window coverings either until things are fixed. Eco Line’s solution - we install the new blinds before fixes and if needed Eco Line will remove and reinstall the blinds they will; however, what if the blinds are damaged by Eco Line in this process? Our fixes are not big – one is a slider that was damaged, one is a screen that was damaged, a small decorative square that was cracked, and the last are casing on the main window that were cut 3/4 of an inch too short and was just filled with caulking vs. cutting a new piece of trim.

Ecoline Windows Response • Mar 15, 2018

Your service parts are on order and once they arrive, our service department will be in touch to schedule for a service appointment. The *** had been submitted on your behalf and once processed, they

will mail you the cheque directly.

Customer Response • Mar 15, 2018

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: I was told on February 23 that the parts will arrive March 9-10! Now I have to wait longer. Is it because I filed a complaint with Revdex.com? This is not a fix. I would like a date!
