Review: On May 6 2016 ERES took payment from me, for a course evaluation for myself. They stated that the course evaluation would be complete in 4-6 weeks. I have tried to call and email but no one ever returns my calls or emails.

It has been 9 weeks since they took my payment for this service and I have heard nothing.

I have called the Texas Board of Nursing to see if they have heard anything from this evaluation company, and they have not. I went to school in Ontario Canada and this educational evaluation of my college credits is needed to obtain my Texas nursing license. I am leaving for Texas August 10, 2016 so now this is very time sensitive.

I am getting frustrated as I really need this evaluation completed and submitted to the Texas board of nursing. I paid the $385.00 in full on May 6, 2016.

I would not be so upset if someone, anyone called me to explain the status of my evaluation.

My reference number with ERES is 16-05-055

Name [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like a correct and accurate course evaluation which I paid for sent to the Texas Board of Nursing. This is what I paid them to do in the first place. I just want the service I paid for competed.

Response:

In response to this applicant’s complaint I have called her and spoken with her about the complications with her case. So that she always has the means of contacting me and our office I have provided her my email and the direct phone number for our office and reaching me. I Have also tried to call her on a few occasions when there has been no answer. Where she has said that there was no communication, the fact is that we emailed her in June to inform her that we had not received the necessary information from the nursing school. So communication did happen. We now have received the needed transcripts from the school, but the school has failed to complete the necessary Form 101 (the information form) that provides hours in the various studies). We very much would like to proceed with preparing the evaluation, but this cannot happen without the completed Form 101. I have also discussed with this applicant that the one-year program she completed in Canada does not provided the hours of experience required by the Texas Board. A completed evaluation will not be able to qualify her for the PN License, but that we will prepare the evaluation if she can get the school to give us the completed information form.

Review: I am writing this complain on behalf of my brother-in-law.

We submitted an application and payment to this business to verify his education and license in February.

We have not received any confirmation that the application was received.

We know that the board of nursing for his home country (Jordan) has sent the required information but we have not gotten any communication from this company.

We have called DAILY to try to reach a human being and are leaving voice mails every day. No response

We have sent NUMEROUS emails from myself and my brother-in-law asking for an update on the status of the verification.

NOTHING.

We want some kind of response or a refund IMMEDIATELY!

This is holding up my brother-in-law taking a job here in the states.Desired Settlement: Communicate and help us to finish the application.

If they cannot do the work then refund the money so I can find someone who can.

Response:

Generally our clients are notified by email to let them know that their application and payment has been received. I am not able to verify if such a notice was sent or not. Sometimes a client may miss seeing the email. I realize that the person helping this client was having trouble getting thru to our office. The communication break-down was in part a result of an unusual request when the client has emailed indicating that we (our agency) should directly submit the request to the Iraq University for the necessary documents. This is very unusual in that the client is instructed to have the university provide the needed academic records. The request was given to an evaluator to follow through on, but because of the unusual situation the evaluator did not understand that they needed to contact the client. What is most important is that after receiving the Revdex.com report I contacted (by phone) the person helping with this to discuss the situation and what is needed. I made sure that communication would not be a problem by giving her both my email address and direct phone number. It is always expected that the clients (nursing applicants) arrange that their universities send to us the need documents. In this case, I was informed that the university in Iraq has requested we make the request and not the applicant. I offered to get involved and help with this and as a result have devoted much time to prepare an appropriate letter and to attempt to communicate with the university. I have done what is requested and I believe the person assisting with this is pleased with my involvement. We are still waiting for the University to submit the information that is needed.

Review: ERES was on a list provided by the Arizona State Board of Nursing Licensing for obtaining school transcripts from overseas. For the price of over $500, it took EDES about 10 months to obtain my records. In a subsequent request, I requested that my records be sent to a local junior college. I paid the fee ($60) about three months ago. ERES has not sent the records and has not responded to numerous e-mails and phone messages. All they have to do is xerox or scan a few pages and send it to a local school. I have lost opportunities for employment and schooling because ERES cannot provide its costly services in a timely manner. I have lost 1 1/2 years of opportunities due to this inept organization. They need to stay at the office until they get their work done!Desired Settlement: They need to perform the work they have been adequately compensated to do.

Response:

I am happy to have the opportunity to respond to this clients comments. It is not unusual that the process of obtaining all of the needed information to prepare an evaluation of a person's nursing education is time consuming. Not only are we dependent on getting certain information from the clients, but the nursing schools around the would must also send academic records directly to our agency. This often takes time and it is not unusual that the school does not provide complete details which can cause extensive delays. In this clients case there were delays after it was determined that the school needed to send more information that was not originally included.

This client indicates that she paid $60 to have an official copy of her evaluation and a copy of her academic transcripts mailed by certified priority mail to an educational institution. She claims that these copies were never sent. Actually her request was filled in a timely manner and all requested documents were mailed. Unfortunately this mailing was returned to us a few day later with the message from the post office that it was an incorrect address. It is likely we were provided a bad address. It is our policy that when undeliverable mail is returned to us that our staff would email or call the client.

I understand that these procedures can be frustrating for clients and that it is tempting to want to blame. A few days ago I did call the clients and discussed all of the above, especially that her resent request was prepared and mailed, but was undeliverable. Considering all of the above, especially the frustration the clients feels with 'lost time', I have offered that we would prepare the copies again and send them to the school (WITHOUT CHARGE) if she emails me the correct address. Although it may sound simple to mail copies, but to prepare proper official copies has a number of steps and the expense of certified Priority Mail. In this case we are happy to provide this complimentary if we get a good address.

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:

My husband forwarded $60 to Educational Records Services, Inc. for them to send my records to an evaluator (We had previously paid ERES over $500 to obtain school records from TAFE school in Sydney Australia, which took about one half year). After filing the first complaint (after about 2 moths of no action)because nothing had been done on the second request, a representative called and we asked her to simply determine the conversion to hours, to which she agreed. We forwarded our copy of the school records because ERES had lost the original records. That was over two weeks ago, and still nothing has happened.

ERES should perform (for once).

Response:

In my prior response I have reviewed how this complaint is not justified. Since then I have been able to verify that this individual had actually provided us an address that was NOT VALID so that when her request to send a copy of her evaluation to a school was properly and timely fulfilled the envelope was returned to us. It could not be delivered. I my response, I offered to send a copy to the school free of charge. A few weeks past without being provided a new address. However recently a new address was provided. I called the clients to explain we not only would send the evaluation to the school, but we would go to the trouble to reformat it to make it more useful to the school, since the original report was formatted for the nursing board. She seems to be pleased and grateful for my offer. The process of having education evaluated for a nursing board typically takes time and can be frustrating. Getting this evaluation reformatted and sent to the school will take a little time in that we are very busy, but I am happy to offer this with out charge.

Review: I’’ve had so many issues with this business. All I wanted was for my [redacted] nursing education to be evaluated and sent to the board so I can take the [redacted] and become a LPN again.

During the evaluation process, although they already received my documents, it kept being mentioned that my education was followed in [redacted] while I followed the education in The [redacted], a whole other country with a lot of different rules regarding nursing eduction. That was the first sign that this business is unprofessional.

In order to become a LPN in The [redacted], at least a high school diploma is required. Still, I got asked if I even have a high school diploma. This was another sign that this company doesn’t really know much about evaluating. You are supposed to know the prerequisites of other countries in order to evaluate and translate education documents of those countries, including The [redacted].

Then, I waited for months. After so much time of waiting and not being able to work as a nurse, I got a short phone call saying that all the information sent by the school was too “poor” for me to be considered a LPN and that they are not interested to wait for the school to send additional documents. I worked as a LPN for more than 20 years in The [redacted] doing all the duties and more that a LPN would do in [redacted]. It’s known that [redacted]’s educational level is considered higher; that the information provided was too "poor" to be considered a LPN is weird.

It was mentioned that I would receive a refund. I spent $395 for my evaluation many months ago. I have not received a penny back. They claimed that they send a check and that I appositely should have received it. I did not receive anything. I asked them to send another check. This time the check was "accidentally" mentioned to the wrong address, while I repeatedly gave them the right address so this would be avoided. Since the whole postal thing was not working, I gave them my bank account number. Result? No response and no dime so far.Desired Settlement: All I want is the right evaluation. I loved working as a LPN and miss the job.

If this is still a problem for them, I'd like to get the pricy amount of $395 back within 2 days through my bank account, not check. In addition, I'd just like a response. Whenever I call the office, no one picks up. Same thing through email.

Response:

This clients has for the most part misrepresented or misunderstood the situation. I understand the frustration that nursing clients can have as they go thru the process of trying to get qualified for a nursing license when they were educated outside the USA. The process generally takes much time and it is a real challenge for an agencies such as our and for the Nursing Boards to decide an individual’s qualifications when there is such a great variation in training and education standards around the world. This is all the more difficult when the foreign nursing schools sometime provide very poor academic records as is the situation in this case. The school did not even show the hours in nursing education that is required on our forms and is the most necessary information to prepare the evaluation. I understand that clients in this situation are tempted to express their frustration by asserting unprofessionalism and claiming negatives that are not the reality. In actually, the real details surrounding this case represent a high level of professionalism by our agency and represents our commitment to the strict policies imposed on us by the Nursing Boards. There is much that could be said about this client’s claims and her inappropriate manner in trying to communicate with her. But I will limit it to the following: For a variety of reasons we thought it best to refund 100% of her money and recommend that she work with one of the other agencies. The first time we mailed the refund check to her thru Priority Mail, the tracking information indicated the envelope was delivered and the client’s signature was actually in the post office record as having signed for the envelope! BUT SHE CLAIMED THAT SHE NEVER RECIEIVED THE ENVELOPE. So we paid to have a ‘stop payment’ put on the check and we sent it again. And again delivery was made with her signature appearing in the post office tracking information as having received the envelope! When I called her to see if she got the envelope, she pretty much refused to talk with me, except to say she did not get the envelope (even though the post office record indicated she had signed for it earlier that day)! The next day she did email me to say that she did actually get the check.

I'm still not happy at all with their services, but yes you can resolve the case. Their unprofessionalism and ignorance caused a lot of issues.

Review: I have requested Educational Records Evaluation Services to evaluate my international qualifications to allow me to apply for my nursing license in Arizona. They had received all the information from the CA Nursing Board on 9/9/2013. When I went to inquire about the time line, I was informed that they had received it but it will take up to 8 weeks to completed the evaluation. I then payed an extra $45 to have the evaluation completed within 2 weeks. I was told by the receptionist that I can come on 10/01/2013 as the transcripts will be ready. Needless to say it was not completed on time. Mr [redacted]'s response to my inquiry was that it was his decision when to complete it and I "have to deal" with the delay. Upon further investigation I found that there were previous complaints filed against the company for poor service regarding similar problems. I spoke to the receptionist the next morning and reaffirmed that I need to have my evaluation completed and also mentioned the previous filed complaints upon which she responded " I new you are going to be a problem, and they should never have taken you on". Whether this was intentional or not, but they have send the evaluation to the wrong Nursing Board. It was send to Washington instead of Arizona as I had requested from the beginning. I have already contacted the Arizona Nursing Board regarding the company's conduct as they have them as one of the agencies that they use for evaluation purposes. I do believe that this company violates the trust clients place in them to complete their evaluations in a professional way. My experience with Mr [redacted] was that he can do what ever he wants to because he has the "power" to do so. I need them to correct their mistake and send the evaluation to the correct Nursing Board. This has now further delayed my licensing in Arizona.

They need to correct their error and send the transcripts within the next 2 days to the Arizona Nursing Board at their expense and provide me with a tracking number.

Initial Business Response

Ms. Client could not be more wrong in her comments. We have actually provided her outstanding service as we evaluated her nursing education documents so that she can apply for a Registered Nurse license.

* We require that original documents be sent to us from the school of education. She could not do this. We offered to compromise our standards and accept copies of documents previously sent to the Calif. Board of Nursing. These documents were inadequate in that they lack sufficient information and were not easily legible.

* Somehow she must have realized that what we got was incomplete and she had the school email information that was also incomplete but help to clarify some of the missing information. Using emailed information was contrary to our policy in that the Nursing Boards requires documents to be mailed from the source. She did not have the information mailed, but in trying to make her difficult situation work out positive for her the emailed document was accepted. However, it was delivered in such a way that it caused the process to be delayed.

* Ms. Client thinks her evaluation was late, but this is not true. The normal time to complete an evaluation is 6 to 8 weeks and at some point in September she upgraded to a 10-Day Rush Service. The 10 days do not include weekends and holidays. A nursing evaluation is on time when it is ready to submit to the nursing board. The copy for the Board was ready on time and submitted to 2 Boards. Ms [redacted] was supposed to wait for a call from our office to come in and pick up her copy, but she did not wait for our call and came in when it was not ready for her, but it was ready and submitted to the Arizona Board via email.

* Ms Client's documents did not meet the standard that we and the Boards generally require. The information was not represented in the way requested and it took lots of extra time as the evaluator tried to piece things together so that the evaluation would be in the form required by the Board.

* Based on the poor nature of her documents we would have been justified in not doing her evaluation. Such is not unusual when documents are poor. In this case the senior staff at ERES recognized that Ms. [redacted] had a difficult situation and our decision was to do everything reasonable to try to make it work for her, rather than to reject the evaluation. This was a much more demanding, time consuming case than most, but we were dedicated to trying to make it work. Somehow Ms. Client does not grasp or appreciate this situation. She is very lucky to have worked with our agency and to have received a good evaluation. We made this happen because of our dedication to qualify service.

* Ms Client has stated that we sent her evaluation to the wrong Board. On the application she submitted for the evaluation she has actually indicated that she wanted the evaluation sent to both the Arizona Board and the Washington Board. Apparently she has forgotten that she had indicated both on the application. It is expected that an applicant will only request one Board, but since she put down 2 different boards, we did (at our expense) send the evaluation to both boards. Something we were not obligated to do, but again we were trying to give her exceptional service and not request the fee for sending it to a second board.

* Because of her forgetting that she had put down 2 Boards on the application Ms Client had the misimpression that the evaluation was sent to the wrong Board when she received tracking information for it going to Washington. She emailed ERES on Oct. 22 about this expressing her disappointment, not remembering that she had indicated both WA and AZ. That same day I responded to her email indicating that she had requested both states and not only had the evaluation been mailed to WA, but it also had been emailed to AZ (they request we email). So, the AZ Board has had the evaluation since Oct 2.

* In spite of the above, she has seen fit to register a complaint with both the Revdex.com and the Arizona Board. If there was ever a complaint that was not justified, this is it! We are proud of the service that we have provided Ms. Client, and it appears that she does not understand or appreciate that she is lucky to have worked with our agency. Another agency could have easily disqualified her because of the difficult documentation and not wanting to go to the trouble of trying to make it work.

* The Revdex.com complaint was submitted on 10/22/13 and it was on 10/22/13 that I emailed Ms. Client to let her know that her evaluation had been with the AZ Board for 3 weeks and that she was the one that requested both AZ and WA. Yet, she has apparently done nothing to recall the Revdex.com complaint.

* I hope the Ms. Client is successful in her quest to become a RN and that such confusion as indicated above is not typical as she encounters the high level of responsibilities placed on a Registered Nurse.

Review: I requested for ERES' service for a full credential evaluation for my nursing application as [redacted]. The case was started on January 5th, 2016, as confirmed by [redacted] (She identified herself as an ERES Staff) by email notification. They already charged me of $395.00 on my credit card that same day but I have NEVER heard any update from them. I tried to reach them SEVERAL times. I sent them email messages (first follow up on 2/22/1026) and left voice messages only because they don't answer calls at anytime. I NEVER HEARD BACK. Provided that they were able to initially sent me that CONFIRMATION email regarding the opening of my file on the 5th of January, it can not be argued that they HAVE NO WAY of reaching me. On my application form, I also provided my best contact phone number and address. Today is March 8th that I am filing this complaint and it has been over 10 weeks since my file was opened but I am left hanging as to what my results are. I also contacted Florida [redacted] in different occasions but they said they have not received anything yet from ERES about my credential evaluation as well. On ERES' website, they promised that they will contact the customer for any documents pending or lacking to complete the request for evaluation but I never got any update after January 5th 2016. I was already charged for their service that day and I was only told by email that they opened a file for me but that's about it.Desired Settlement: I would like to DISCONTINUE AND CANCEL MY REQUEST AND HAVE a FULL REFUND of MY PAYMENT and RETURN OF all the FORMS AND DOCUMENTS SENT TO THEM to my address here in Canada. I WASTED MY TIME, MONEY AND EFFORT ON ERES WITH ALL THE 10 WEEKS (AND COUNTING) OF WAIT. I GOT ZERO SERVICE/RESPONSE FROM THIS COMPANY WHICH INSTANTLY CHARGED ME $395 SERVICE CHARGE ON DAY 1 of my application.

Response:

After receiving the notice from Revdex.com regarding this applicants concerns I have discussed with her on the phone the situation. At that point she had the choice of continuing with our agency preparing the evaluation of her nursing education so that she might qualify for the RN nursing exam in Florida or she could choose to withdraw and receive a refund. She choice to go forward with the evaluation thru our agency.

I indicated to her that in the instructions she followed do indicate that the process can take 6 to 8 weeks after we receive all of the required academic records. In her case it took well over a month for the required school records and the verification of her prior nursing license to arrive in our office. The 6 to 8 weeks period begins at that point. Keep in mind that the documents that we need are requested by the applicant and we have nothing to do with how long it takes the involved schools and agencies to comply.

I understand this applicants concerns of being updated on the process, and have during our phone conversation given her means to more directly connect with me and our office so that she will not feel so frustrated if she is having trouble connecting with ERES. I have provided her my direct email address and the direct phone number that will always get thru to me when I am in the office.

Also, I have personally discussed her case with the involved evaluator and have arranged with evaluator that the evaluation would be completed before the normal timing. I am expecting that the evaluation is being completed this weekend and that the applicant will be emailed her copy.

Review: They provide very bad service with a very bad attitude, they([redacted], especially his famale manager) even ask the customer to have good attitude, that's stupid and ridiculousThey charge much higher than other agency, but it's all right as I chose that agency, we have not bad communication at first, but when I want to know more about the evaluation expense, [redacted] told me I could consider other agency if I think other agency provide more reasonable price, I think it's irresponsible response and I expressed my opinion, but they continue to show even worse attitude, [redacted]'s manager give me a call but said, they have many customers, my attitude made her cannot provide evaluate for me, isn't it stupid and ridiculous to say so?Desired Settlement: Her boss should know she has this kind of attitude and provide this bad service

I would like to thank this customer for giving us the feedback. It has provided me the opportunity to discuss with the evaluators that handle the Chinese clients the best professional and courteous ways to deal with difficult situations. For this reason I appreciate that the customer as provided her comments. The evaluator that worked on her case ([redacted]) actually spent an unusual amount of time patiently and professionally dealing with this client's questions thru email and over that phone. At some point the good communication broke down, and I have reviewed with [redacted] ways to try to keep thing positive when customers are stressed with the expense and difficult details required for us to prepare valid reports. We deal with many dozens of Chinese clients every month and there are few complaints as is evident by the lack of complaints in this Revdex.com section. I asked [redacted] to put in writing what happen with this case and I think the reader here will get better insight if I copy his comments here (Keep in mind, Chinese is his native language): "First of all, I do agree that the client and I didn’t have a bad communication at the very beginning, and we both spoke kindly. Honestly, we do charge client for consultation, which I never charged this client and kept answering her questions from August 17, 2015 to September 16, 2015 (See Attachment). I even reviewed all her documents and finished her pre-evaluation, which not every evaluator will do so. Also, I have to point out that she kept emailing me almost everyday, and sometimes three or four emails a day. As a result, I don’t think that I deserved this quote “It’s irresponsible”. I think the client turn to be rude is because she thought our international mailing is expensive, especially more expensive than what she can get in China. I don’t think it was a problem. I even offered her to hold her original documents after we finished her evaluation, so when she come to U.S., we can mail to her by domestic mailing. That will save her $75. It’s easy to find out the price on our application, and I do believe the client has read our application. I’m assuming that she knows our price because she is very detail and asked so many questions in order to avoid any potential mistake, likedocuments be rejected. I’m sure all she wants is to decrease the cost, which I totally understand. As everyone can see in our back forward email, she was even asking me to mail her documents back PERSONALLY, which I don’t feel quite reasonable. Therefore, I said no and forwarded this email to my manager. I would like to say the client is difficult, after I forward all the back forward emails to my manager, she called the client directly. The client lost her temper and even kept yelling some really bad and dirty words in Chinese to my manager. That’s why my manager asked her to “Have good attitude”, if not, we won’t help. Then, she hung up the phone. Actually, not only my manager, but also everyone in our company should have the right to ask client to be nice. I don’t think it’s a problem with other clients which most of them seems very polite. We, ERES, have taken care of hundreds clients every month for years, and even Chinese department helped over a hundred of applicants every month for years. Obviously, none of them has complained us. Especially, none of them has posted any negative on Revdex.com because we treat every client responsible, and we always try our best to help them. Most of them would email us to say thank you after received evaluation."

I am rejecting this response because:[redacted]nd his manager are 2 clowns and avoid the important and dwell on the trivial to gave the rediculous explain, even lie, lie, lie..., don't their boss know they have problems with their charaters? How many customers they have lost because of their bad charaters? I don't want to waste any time on this kind of unworthy people anymore, just the boss need to know what they layFirst, I have writed in the mail to cheng I thank you him and I am very cautious when talk with him because he spent a lot of time and I am afraid I said some wrong words to make him unhappy, I have paid another agency but I have applied the refund but to choose ERES, why don't you show and say this to your boss?Second, why [redacted]nd his manager are so shameless to say I am unsatisfied because of the express fee? Don't you fee any ashamed when you lie? Is the manager who told you to explain as so? I have written in the mail it's OK even you don't explain any things to me, I will also directly mail the docs to you, I also said on the phone it's OK about the charge fee, I am only consult you whether you could mail me the docs and I didn't ask you to mail me the docs, I am unsatisfied because you randomly told me to choose another agency even after I said above words to you, I also writed in the mail that choose another agency will waste my time also will waste yours as you have spent a lot of time, but what you say, you said you have provided good service and you don't why why I am unsatisfied and you are angry because I am unsatified? why don't you show above to your boss but to choose to lie? What is your logic to be angry even if I explained so many to you and just to express my opinion?? I can't understand at allThird, your manager called me not to explain or communicate but to tell me your agency is busy and proivde many clients evaluations every year, I should show good attitude when talk with you, isn't it silly to talk so? she shouted and speak loudly to me firstly, but why to say I lost temper? Yes, you are right, I shouldn't act like her because if I act like her, I will be the same with her, she called with this bad attitude and told you won't provide evaluation, even after waste so much of my time and already applied refund with another agency which have told you in email, I only said stupid and hang up, what you suppose me to do? Why you have dirty attitude, dirty service, dirty characters but to shameless to blame others use dirty words to that donkey? Don't to earn it but to ask it with shamelesss? Wow, she gave me new insights!Whether to be get tricked by the employees, it's their boss's choice, I don't want to waste time on this kind of unworthy people anymore

Review: My complaint is that I made a request through the [redacted] for a change of nursing license from Puerto Rico to a license in the state of Florida, where one of the requirements is to choose an agency that will verify my credentials from many chose in their page and which I chose ERES. I sent the papers they requested including payment for the service from $395.00 with a money order in there name in the month of August/4/2015 and cash out by their agency and as of today February/09/2016 I have not received anything from them and I have tried to communicate with them through phone and email and I have not received responses from ERES. The Board of Nursing who neither have received anything. My only interest is to know what happened to my case, because it is what I need in order to complete the process of changing my license for the state of Florida.Desired Settlement: I want them to finish the job or reimburse my money ASAP.

Response:

Normally when we receive an application for a Nursing Evaluation we will notify by email the applicant to let them know their order has been received. After the application is received we then must wait for the academic records to be sent to our office from the nursing school and for the verification of the international Nursing License. Sometimes this can take many weeks before all of the needed documents are received. When all documents have been received we generally will notify the applicant that thier documents have arrived and that the evaluation process can take place and be completed in about 6 weeks.I am not able to say if the above mentioned emails were sent or not; generally they are sent, but maybe they were not in this case. The action I have taken as the Director of ERES is to call this client after receiving the original notice form Revdex.com. I let her know that I will personally work with the evaluator who is handling this case to make sure it is completed with out more extensive delay. To assure her that she would not have any more difficulty communicating with our office I gave a private phone number that always will go thru to our office and to me. I also gave her my personal email address to make it easy for her to contact me.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

In February 16-2016 I received a call from the person called [redacted] from the Agency ERES. He said he received a claim from your agency and he asked me some questions.
