eHealthInsurance Services Reviews (%countItem)

First off I'm suspicious that I got pop-up'd and missed I was no longer on the Covered CA site. *** way of selling health insurance be it well intended marketing or just awful policy. Tho I will admit I need to be more careful that should be illegalHowever the real issue has been since the following morning of signing up, I've gotten no less than FIFTY calls a day from 'someone' all citing to call back XXX-XXX-XXXX. I did not submit info ANYWHERE else and it started at 6:50am the next morning. The calls come from multiple numbers, but even if you block them all you still get the 50 interruptions if not voicemails. The voices are all different tho they are robocalls - clear scammers. These aren't the only calls, but the vast majority from here. On telling eHealth, they claim "oh it's not us" and send you their *** privacy policy as if that indicates ANYTHING about the current situation. At best, these is are unaware of fraud connected to their site, tho more likely they are spammers or scammers. It's unreal this could even happen if you're a legit company on the up and up. In the mean time, I've gotten NOTHING related to my application save the email template upon asking to cancel. Of course cancelling is not likely to remove my number from any list it's now on, and of course I need insurance. So WTF is going on? Even tho I feel the need to just get the Kaiser Permanente plan ASAP even if it's thru these iss, something must be done
Product_Or_Service: Health Insurance (Kaiser HMO)

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) 1. Removal of my information from any call list. I am already on the "Do Not Call" list which once again seems useless at this point. Not to mention since they call from multiple numbers, it's going to take more than just a few complaints on each number. You or someone is going to have to, you know....DO SOMETHING. Preferably eHealth, but maybe you take this to them & make it right'2. My application to go through. Cancelling only delays the immediate need for coverage. Of course they are not available on their "24/7 chat" nor are they open to call...once again phenomenal customer service. I will certainly badger them til it's done, but this shouldn't have taken even this long much less screwed my phone number to high ***3. Research on who is the XXX-XXX-XXXX calling daily. eHealth certainly might be a part of this, but either way NOBODY would sign up for 50 marketing calls a day (especially triggered due to PUTTING IN AN APPLICATION - meaning, I'm done w/ the solicitation period and cannot be sold further. A real stupid time to try to steal a customer...that too being just a middleman, not even the true service provider). Real *** policy and practices if this is normal in the industry. A search on this numbers shows endless complaints like mine, but clearly nothing is done

Hello ***, Thank you so much for bringing these concerns to our attention. We cannot succeed as a business without our customers, and want to ensure that if you started your shopping experience on our site that you are not being hounded or harassed by any of our licensed agents. We take these matters very seriously. We have investigated your concerns and have record of making only one follow up call on 9/6/2018 to your phone number in regards to the required documentation for your application. (Continued....)

I called them for help getting my 2018 coverage and had a very good experience.

Way WAY too many phone calls, texts, emails, etcetera.
Made the mistake of requested 'a quote'. In just a little less than 5 hours, I have received over 100 phone calls, and dozens of voicemails, text messages, and emails. My phone rings at least every three minutes! This is ridiculous and even harrassing. Let the consumer pick how many vendors you give this info to, don't just shotgun blast it out there to anyone willing to pay for the information!!!!! I won't use again or recommend ehealthinsurance to anyone as an actual means of getting legitimate quotes. My privacy has been violated by nonstop contacts and shady businesses wanting my personal information.

Desired Outcome

Make these calls, texts, and emails stop!!!!! I tried texting STOP hours ago and it didn't. Your selling my information to 100's of people has resulted in my phone and email overswamped and my privacy violated!!!!!

Hello ***, thank you so much for bringing these concerns to our attention. We take these matters very seriously. We have investigated your concerns and it appears your information is not in our systems. We also have no records of making any calls to your phone number. Since we do not have your information in our system, we did not provide your information to third parties. It is possible that you may have visited another third party website before you visited the eHealth website, and that third party website may have shared your information. If you can provide us with the name of the website where you provided your phone number, we can investigate further. In the meantime, in an abundance of caution and to ensure you do not receive phone calls from us in the future, we have added your number to our internal Do Not Call list. You may also want to register your phone number with the National Do Not Call Registry by visiting https://www.donotcall.gov/.

Customer Response • Aug 08, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The ONLY website I visited was ehealthinsurance.com. Within minutes of submitting my information (probably less than three), the calls, texts, voicemails and emails began. I also have a text from eHealth stating 'affordable quotes have been sent to your email' so I know we are talking the same website.

I just want this business to stop allowing so many 'licensed agents' access to private information given to them.

eHealthInsurance Services Response • Aug 24, 2018

Hello ***, we can appreciate your frustration. Since we do not have your information in our system, we do not have access to the text or email messages you received. We would like the opportunity to assist in resolving this issue with you. In order to investigate this further, could you please provide us a copy of the text and emails you have received? Thank you.

Harassing calls several times a day, when I asked not to be called back, I was argued with and hung up on.
I received several calls from (XXX) XXX-XXXX while at work. Finally I answered and it was an automated message saying there was an urgent matter regarding my healthcare and to press 1. I pressed 1 and was transferred to an agent who never even said the name of the company she was representing, and proceeded to ask me several personal questions about my healthcare coverage until I finally asked who she was calling on behalf of. She said ehealthinsurance. I asked to please not be called again and she said we did not call you, you called us and hung up on me.

Desired Outcome

Not to make harassing calls anymore from different numbers falsely telling me there is an urgent matter with my insurance and then hang up on me

Hello ***, thank you so much for bringing these concerns to our attention. We take these matters very seriously. You may also want to register your phone number with the National Do Not Call Registry by visiting https://www.donotcall.gov/.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

They charge me for a month and I I wasn't even aproved yet.
I was getting a quote for a January 1st start.I wasn't approved until February !st.
They took money out of my account for that month and said they denied me a refund because they stated that money had been paid out on claims for January. Asked them to prove this and haven't heard back. So how can you charge me for a month I wasn't approved yet. On top of that I requested a start date of February first after most of the month was already over. I can prove all of this and have to them.

Desired Outcome

I want a refund of this money or to go towards the next billing cycle

Hello ***, Thank you for for your feedback. We always want to ensure our customers are having a positive experience, so are sorry to hear this feedback.

These thieves continue to call and email me junkmail despite repeated requests to STOP
I had checked out insurance rates with these thieves once, found them to be a complete ripoff and told them I was not interested. Since then, they have repeatedly emailed and called to annoy me. I have requested several times for them to STOP, have opted out, yet it continues, demonstrating just what a bunch of lowlifes this company is

Desired Outcome

IMMEDIATE removal of ALL my information from the telemarketing and junkmail databases and a CEASE AND DESIST of ALL further communication

This clown is as full of *** as the day is long. And his 3rd grade grammar only helps prove it. They called AGAIN yesterday, and looking at all the similar complaints here, they will continue to harass. These lowlife ss need to be put out of the public's misery

eHealthInsurance Services Response • Feb 22, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I'll believe it when I see it

E-Health Insurance called me out of nowhere from a local number. XXX-XXX-XXXX. It was a woman voice but I realized after about 15 seconds that was an automated call. I was then transferred to a call center (with background noises) and with a foreign (Indian) accent. I had to hangup because they were asking for sensitive info and he was not very professional. During which, I asked for their website address and checked it out. It looks legit but... I sensed sales and my own hesitation, so be aware.

eHealthInsurance Services Response • Jan 18, 2018

Hi ***, Thanks so much for taking the time to share these concerns. We are sorry to hear that you experienced this, and can certainly understand your hesitation. At first glance, this number does not seem to be associated with eHealth, but we're hoping to gather some information from you to investigate further and will follow-up with an email. On a side note, it's been brought to our attention that there is another company that has been posing as us, obviously without our permission; we have a feeling your experience may be related, and will be in touch soon.

I have received constant calls from ehealthinsurance call center employees. I never requested any information from them or any of their representatives. During the first call I explained I was not the person they were looking for or even knew who that person was. The representative said they would take me off of their call list. Unfortunately, so did the 3rd representative I talked to and the 7th representative I spoke to on 12/15/17. As of today 12/18/17 I have received several more calls and texts. I have my number on the "do not call list" and that hasn't stopped them from badgering me.

eHealthInsurance Services Response

Hi ***, Thanks so much for taking the time to reach out; we certainly understand how frustrating this must be for you, and take this feedback very seriously. We cannot succeed as a business without our customers and want to assure you that if you started your shopping experience at eHealth.com, then you are not getting hounded or harassed by any of our licensed agents. We would appreciate the opportunity to investigate your experience further, and hope you are open to providing some additional information; I will send some questions shortly. In the meantime, please know it's been brought to our attention that there is another company that has been posing as us, obviously without our permission. We are investigating the matter further, and believe your experience may be related. I'll follow up with those questions as promised, and we hope to hear from you soon.

eHealthInsurance's website fraudulently masquarades as Blue Cross Blue Shield. I had Googled BCBS, and eHealth's listing was first with BCBS in their site name. It appeared to be the BCBS site to me. I opened it and the page opened with the BCBS logo and information. I completed the form expecting to hear from a BCBS representative and instead am now being bombarded every 30-minutes from calls and texts from insurance brokers from all over the country. I have asked repeatedly to be removed from the contact list to no avail. I have informed these brokers that I'm already working with someone and already committed to a plan, but they continue to talk over me every time. Their brokers are aggressive; I've had to block several of them for their repeated calls and texts. I will never knowingly do business with this company and they should be sited for misleading consumers with their site.

We cannot succeed as a business without our customers and want to assure you that if you started your shopping process at eHealth.com, then you are not getting hounded or harassed by any of our licensed agents. We attempted to investigate your experience further, but were unable to locate you in our system based on name or email address alone. You can reach our Customer Service team by dialing X-XXX-XXX-XXXX, then pressing options 1, then 5 then 4. Please let the representative know you were directed to call in via the Revdex.com website to share additional info regarding your experience so we can investigate further. We hope to speak with you soon!

I have repeatedly told this company not to call me anymore because I have found health insurance. The company does not listen.
I have not purchased health insurance through this broker. I merely visited its website on 11/4/2017, giving some details about myself. Several unprofessional callers contacted me. I hung up on them or did not respond to texts which were uncompleted texts, by the way. At this point, I was concerned I had given age and S.S. no. to a scam "company". Approximately two days later, two different representatives called leaving messages, stating that they were in the insurance industry, please call them back. I called one of them and stated that I had found insurance, which was true, and that I didn't want to be contacted anymore. She smoothly indicated she wanted the name of the plan I had chosen. I told her no, I did not have to give her that information. She stated she would take me off their list. Her name was *** Now I am still receiving strange calls where no one leaves a message, and I avoid answering my phone. All I want is to be left alone by these pushy salespeople. In fact, I was just forced to hang up on a representative who called from a Zeeland MI area code just a few minutes ago.

Desired Outcome

I don't want any contact from the business anymore.

eHealthInsurance Services Response

Hello, Thank you so much for bringing these concerns to our attention. We can certainly understand your frustration, and take these matters very seriously. During our initial review, we were unable to locate your phone number (XXX-XXX-XXXX) within our system. We are hoping to gain some additional information to investigate further, and will be reaching out to you shortly. Thank you, again. We look forward to speaking with you soon.

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
First of all, my phone number has never been XXX-XXX-XXXX. I have returned a phone call to *** (sp?) at approximately 10:45 pm Eastern Time. I do not think this is a case where this company has nothing to do with me being slammed by phone calls and texts from people who are probably looking to sell personal health information and possibly steal my identity. I have explained to *** that after putting in basic information like birthdate and social security number I suddenly within three minutes of getting off the website, deciding to stop looking into dealing with ***, the nonstop phone calls started. And these were not people who were professional. They didn't know how to have a conversation about health insurance. The first caller said he was from "the exchange," then wanted to know if I had any specific health conditions that needed to be addressed. I told him the Exchange would never ask such a thing. He said, "the Exchange?" as if he didn't know what I was talking about. I asked him who he was calling with. "Priority Health," he said. At that point I knew I had a scam artist, and hung up. I have visited three websites regarding health insurance in the last week: Priority Health, the ACA Exchange (healthcare.gov), and ***. I do not accept this business's response of "Oh, well, these calls are not coming from us," as complete and thorough. There is some reason why my phone started ringing off the hook (so to speak) about three minutes after I stopped using ***, and the data breach needs to be investigated. I don't deserve to be getting these phone calls just because this company won't investigate what is going on.

eHealthInsurance Services Response

We reiterate that we take these matters very seriously and that we conducted a complete investigation. To clarify, we investigated the correct (616) phone number, confirmed that the number was not located in our systems, and that eHealth did not make the calls to that phone number.

Based on the description from the consumer, we believe the consumer may have input their information on a lead aggregator website which sent information to multiple companies. Our website does not collect social security number until the point where the consumer is completing an insurance application.

In an abundance of caution, we have added the customer's number to eHealth's internal Do Not Call list to ensure the customer does not receive any phone calls from eHealth. If the customer already hasn't done so, we recommend that the customer register their phone number with the National Do Not Call Registry (the customer can visit them online at ***). If the customer has another phone number at which she has been receiving calls, we would be happy to conduct another search.

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
It appears that I visited other websites which may be creating the problem with receiving what I feel are unsolicited phone calls from companies. If I did not put in my cell phone on the ehealthinsurance website, then there is no reason to think that ehealthinsurance is making these calls.

I used eHealth to find vision insurance they took money from account and did not provide services
I submitted an application for vision insurance through eHealth on 11/01/2017. I received an email confirming approval for vision insurance but as of yet I have not received a policy. I called eHealth insurance that confirmed that my application was approved and that my health insurer would be golden rule insurance. I called golden rule whom has no record of my application eHealth refuses to rectify this situation I have been given the run around

Desired Outcome

i would like verification of my account i do not want ehealth with any of my account information as well as my credit card information

eHealthInsurance Services Response

Hello,
We were previously in contact with this consumer via phone and were able to alleviate her concerns by confirming that the purchase coverage was active with her selected insurance company. Should she have any additional concerns, we'd be happy to reach out again to discuss further.

Please stop this spam

I have been looking for AHCCCS insurance and went to this website through google search. I thought it will take me there. They asked my phone number to speak to an agent. It is a month now as am getting everyday 2-3 times phone calls from different phone numbers (how many do they have, becouse I keeping bock them?).I talked with one agent, asked to remove me from their call list. Then they keep calling. I talked with another agent after that, and that agent asked me to give him my credit card number. When I asked to send me an info about an insurance to my address by mail or email, he told that they don't do it and I need to hurry up, because soon it will be a line and he can't give me this price.I told him that it is wrong to ask to pay with out giving me a time to think about it and make a decision. He hung up. Still getting phone calls, putting them on not call list on my phone. Went to their wesite
***) to check if I can unsubcribe and it is no option for that. I can't believe this web exist.

Desired Outcome

I want this business to stop contacting me.

eHealthInsurance Services Response

Hello, Thank you so much for reaching out and sharing these concerns. We reviewed our system, and were unable to locate this individual either by name, phone or email. Based on these findings, we are confident the calls she is receiving are not from us. If there is perhaps another phone number at which she is receiving them, we are happy to investigate further. We will be sure to contact her directly via email to acknowledge receipt, and see if there is anything further we can do to help.

Company will not stop calling although I have repeatedly refused to purchase insurance through them.
I receive more than a dozen automated calls per day in which when a person manages to pick up in time they refuse to remove me from their database. I have tried to tell them I have already purchased insurance. Cannot select a new provider and have no interest in their services. The company say's they cannot accomodate the request and will hang up. The individuals will not forward to a supervisor when requested. I had initially requested a quotation from what I thought was california's health insurance selections but have been woefully tricked. I am at the point of cancelling phone service to avoid the calls.

Desired Outcome

I want the business to stop contacting me at my home number XXX-XXX-XXXX.

eHealthInsurance Services Response

Hello, Thank you so much for bringing these concerns to our attention. We can certainly understand your frustration, and take these matters very seriously. During our initial review, we were unable to locate your phone number (XXX-XXX-XXXX) within our system. We are continuing to investigate, but we are hoping you can provide us with some additional information. Specifically, can you please provide the phone number at which you're receiving these calls? Additionally, if you have the phone number showing up on your caller ID for the calls you're receiving, this information would be very helpful as well. We will also be in touch with you shortly to follow up. Thank you again for reaching out.

If you give information to this website you will receive countless phones calls from brokers all over the country. We I complained to customer service :

THIS IS A SCAM. This company gave my info to multiple companies that harass me daily. I get up to 25 calls a day and the reps are very aggressive.
Total scam. I gave *** my phone number so I could get a quote for health insurance. About 30 minutes later, I was bombarded with aggressive phone calls from multiple "insurance companies". I've asked to be removed from their list, but continue getting up to 25 calls a day. I was told they couldn't transfer me to a supervisor, they don't have a physical address, and that they do not have a website. When I ask for their company name, they call themselves the "Health Group". I believe *** is nothing more than a phishing site.

Desired Outcome

I hope this "company" will stop releasing consumer information and that the website will be taken down. They are taking advantage of people that actually need health insurance. Shame.

eHealthInsurance Services Response

Hello Ms.,

Thank you so much for bringing these concerns to our attention. We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing this, and can certainly understand your frustration. We cannot succeed as a business without our customers and want to assure you that if you started your shopping process at ***, then you are not getting hounded or harassed by any of our licensed agents. We do not believe these calls are from us, but would like to investigate this further to determine if there is anything that can be done on our end to prevent this. Is there a number or email at which we can reach you? We look forward to hearing from you soon.

eHealth knowingly charged me for 2 Insurance Plans. THey charged me for 2 pans after I cancelled.
I applied for a plan, and cancelled. I went with a different plan within the eHealth system. They fulfilled the new plan, while keeping the charges open for the original. Even after lengthy cancellation process, they continued to charge me. Currently (6 months later) they stated I filled out the cancellation incorrectly, even though they acknowledge I had cancelled. They never sent any confirmation of the original Insurance plan, or any info regarding the cancelled insurance plan- Although I have received all info on the actual plan I went with. If their story is correct, I would have received a welcome letter, ID Cards and Plan information - which would have alrted me to the 2 plans. I did Not Receive ANY information on the cancelled plan until 6 months later.

Desired Outcome

Complete refund for the unused (cancelled) Insurance plan premiums.

eHealthInsurance Services Response
