I am personally very familiar with this situation I met Mr [redacted] about a year ago as I was leaving the dealership at the close of the day He had come into service, which was already closed for the day, with a re-occurring issue with his UCONNECT system and numerous other electrical glitches. The dealership went above and beyond to assist [redacted] with the service documentation needed for a Lemon Law claim and getting all service records and technician notes and did our part We only discussed a new vehicle after [redacted] and his wife asked to see if it was something we could get them approved for..Which we were not able to.The dealership doesnt have a roll in decision making on lemon law that is stricly up to the manufacturer

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/25) */
Received business response via e-mail to Revdex.com, 8-15-15:
"Thank you for the information concerning *** ***'s complaint***'s initial messages were received during one of the dealerships offsite sales events where the sales & finance
departments were closedHer message was promptly answered when we resumed business as to advise her of what was needed to facilitate the cancellation of her service contractWe were told the vehicle had been paid off; and we advised her we would need an odometer statement and proof of payoff
We received the fax of the odometer statement, but did not receive any proof of payoff
The cancellations are dated the date and mileage of request, so there would have been no reduction in credit for the time taken to process
Without proof of payoff the cancellation credit was issued to the original lienholder, who will be responsible for crediting the amount to ***
My office processed the cancellation on 08/20/
Hopefully this addresses Ms***'s concern and answers any questions she may have had

I will take this further with the state attorney general but thanks for your efforts

I am rejecting this response because: the time to wait for the tires has been unacceptable I will accept the business reply when I receive the tires Also, in the letter from Eide, it says tires would be delivered " at a very good deal " That is incorrect The tires were promised for free as part of the purchase agreement and entered on "WE OWE" form: which I have a copy of

Dear Revdex.com,I am rejecting this response because: the
tires that Eide provided, per the "We Owe" form, are used tires. I was told that they would be winter tires off of new vehicles that were transported/traded from Canadian dealerships. These are notably used tires: two, more so than the others. The centers are more worn than the outer edges of the tire-tread: due probably to over inflation. So, am I satisfied? NO ! They Eide Chrysler sent us some used tires that they scrounged up from somewhere. They did not hold up their part of the bargain with *** Public Schools. We paid our part of the bargain ( $22,) for a new Dodge Grand Caravan. I won't be pursuing any further course of action pertaining to this Complaint. I also will not be pursuing any further vehicle purchases from Eide Chrysler of Pine City, Minnesota. I have spent way too much time on this purchase than I should have had to. Eide should have given us the new winter tires as they promised in their "We Owe" statement and they didn't. Thank you Revdex.com for trying to resolve this complaint

Response received via e-mail to Revdex.com, 2/16/17:"we do buy vehicles from Canada, often times they come in with an extra set of winter tires*** and I got on that topic when he purchased vehicleDid tell *** would get him a set at VERY GOOD DEAL if and when a set came in that would fit his vanto
date we have not recievedb any that would fit.We value *** *** *** as a customer and will get tires when the right size comes inCanadian importing has changed du to new regulationsand now takes as long as days to receive vehicles.unfortunately the entire process has been delayedwe never did set a timeline as to when tires may be available due to the fact that we do not know until vehicles arrive at our facilitywill definitely let *** know ASAP"

this car was a give away car she only paid doc fee and ttl she wanted to give it back months later we was willing to take it back for free she wanted for used tires she purchased for aut was declined she won the car at a drawing we hold often

I am familiar with this customer but this is the first I have heard of this complaint.  I spoke with her directly on numerous occasions back in October/November in regards to a warranty issue.  The issue was my business manager had input the VIN number wrong on the warranty contract which...

was corrected as soon as it was brought to our attention.  I notified [redacted] of this at that time.  I never heard any story about the sales person or them purchasing the wrong truck.

I am very familiar with this customer and situation. The [redacted]'s treaded in a 2010 F150 with over 200000 miles they owed ninety on it and we were sable to overcome their behaves equity and get them approved on a new truck.  The truck they wanted originally was a Big Horn which was priced significantly higher than the tradesman model.  We could not get the break to approved the loan on the more expensive truck, however we did get an approval on the tradesman.  The day they bought the truck we had a long conversation in which I explained to them it was a good opportunity for them to get out of the truck which had no warranty and they owed significantly more than what the truck was worth.  I explained we couldn't get the financing approved in the more expensive truck but we should on the one they bought.  They both understood that And made the decision to buy the truck.  When signing papers everything was fully disclosed and explained to them they each signed numerous documents in rewards to the purchase including the no cooling off paper.  This purchase was made last spring. I am unsure why we are just hearing about this now almost a year after the purchase.

I have received no response from Mr. [redacted].

Until it can be confirmed that it's the carrier of the warranty which we should be upset at, not Eide's, this response will not be accepted--to a point. In regards to their used vehicles being inspected, I still consider them liers. They sure don't volunteer that information. I look at what happened with my girlfriend who purchased her vehicle a month before I did from them. Her only complaint: instead of putting new tires only on her front (drive) wheels, why couldn't they have just put on new tires for all four wheels. She may not have had her spin after this winters' first snow fall. I feel that they need to be open books and let a possible buyer know from the start what is wrong with the vehicle they're interested in.

Customer was not approved on a Cherokee however she was approved on a Compass. She selected the Compass that would work best for her. The lending agreement "clearly states" that there is no cooling off period nor do we offer or advertise a...

"return or exchange policy". We did offer to install a hitch at our cost which is an offer we will still honor.

They did not try to get me approved for the Cherokee the day I bought the Compass. I was approved when I tried to bring back the Compass but they wanted to give me 10,000 less for the compass a week after I drove it away. So adding the 10,000 on to the total of the payment on the Cherokee brought it up way past what I wanted for a payment. I turned down their offers because they were crazy! There is no way with less than 500 miles on a vehicle it should drop 10,000!
As far as putting a hitch on it should have been included!

The customer purchased this vehicle in her name only.  Eide Autocenter has no paperwork with any other individuals name.
