Discussed with Owner, Alex *** the distance between us and the designers would be an issue with creating my backyard dream space.
Included are the emails sent to company through website and personal email of designer and owner describing issue.

1st Attempt:

Hi Cebele and Alex,

As requested by you, I have given the company another shot to prove our distance would not be a factor in making my backyard dreams come true. Cebele is very sweet, but we have not been able to meet up. We have met once at my home since you came out in November. I work 14 hr shifts 3 days a week at the hospital and on my weekdays off I have to stay local. I have every other weekend off, but she has been unavailable on weekends. The last message I sent her was on 4/5/19 asking if she still had a 12pm, which was a Friday still available, but received no message back. We could have even used a web video chat to make this distance work and that would have been ok with me, but I don't believe your staff cares for meeting this way.

I am asking the company to hold on to their outstanding reputation and refund me 10% down payment. When we met in November, it was agreed upon that Elementar Designs will go out of their way for me and I have not been impressed by the attempts. Again, the staff is sweet, but I can confirm our distance is what is stopping my dream backyard design from coming true. Please refund me as promised.

2nd Attempt:

This is my second attempt to get in contact with Elementar Outdoors regarding my complaint and request. I saw this morning that the company has a A+ rating on Revdex.com and I do not want to file a complaint that may ruin that reputation because the staff are very friendly. I am re-sending my original email in hopes to have a response within a week before I do file a grievance.

To further clarify, I worked with o designer, Carolina, and came up with a design to submit to my HOA. In order to submit the design I had to give 10% down of what that project would have cost. My HOA did not approve the design and Carolina had to rework it in order for them to approve. However, I was not in love with the design. Carolina came back to my home for an additional meeting and stated that I would have to come to the office more. My schedule is difficult to make this happen. I agreed to work via video conference. I don't know if it is a language barrier or other that would make this difficult. Carolina and I worked via FaceTime and I appreciated it, since they have to design on the software at the office.

A week or so went by and my text were forwarded to Cebele, one of the other designers stating she was taking over my project. A week or so after that text, we schedule an appointment. This is when I met the owner, Alex ***, and as described in the email, was promised our distance would not be a factor. A week or so after that Cebele came out to the house with her laptop and we went over a draft she came up with, but after that meeting her and I could not seem to make our schedules work. This leaves me to today and my situation and complaint.

I can agree that the first designer put some time into the meeting and drew up a plan that was approved by my HOA, regardless of me "loving it". However, the money put down was a 10% of the project cost. I no longer want to use this company for lack of communication, and physical distance. Because no work has been done, I would like a refund. I am willing to pay $500.00 for Carolina's work on the 1st design for this is an estimate that a recent landscape designer has given me to draw up a plan. Paid by check 1916 to Elementar Outdoor $3,877.00 on 11/8/18.
