Nikki contacted Revdex.com. This installment took place on the 3rd and has been completed.

We are responding to this issue in a timely manner. We first went out to check out the problem. We found that the customers shingles are short an need to have a drip edge installed. We also contacted a outside roofing company an they agreed that she also needs drip edge installed. This is a very...

affordable fix for her to pay is she would like too. The roofing company also says it's not a window problem. We have been in constant contact with her an tried to talk to her but she insistes that it is a window problem. Please contact us for any other questions. We can also give you the name an number of the roofing company.

Revdex.com spoke with a representative of the business who stated that the check had been written and mailed to the customer.

I had my windows replaced by Elite Windows. The salesman was wonderful and clear. When the workman came to measure the windows they criticized what the salesman had told me. The same crew that measured my windows installed my windows. It was suppose to be a one to two day job. The workman could not finish the job they got sick and also did not have all the windows they needed to complete the job. The job after it was started took weeks and weeks to finish (6 I believe). They pushed finishing my job back saying they had other jobs to start. The workman when they came back to my home were rude to my family. The windows after install had gaps in them that you could see the outside yard and feel wind through. There were stickers on all the windows and I was told I needed to remove them. I was told by the office the workman would clean the windows. The workman stated the it was not their job. The did send someone out to clean them but in certain light you can still see where the stickers were. They put some material in the gaps. Gave me one window free for my trouble. It was my worst home improvement experience ever.

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. This is no different than what we were told multiple times before. We will not consider the problem resolved until the screens are installed. It,s over a year since the contract was signed and nine months since the Windows and other screens were installed. Unacceptable.

The business contacted Revdex.com. The customer's order was confirmed that it was shipped and should be at the business tomorrow. Once it has been delivered the business will contact the tenant to set up the appointment for installation.

Review: New sliding glass door installed on Sept 29th. Installer removed interior trim as door opening needed to be reframed for door to fit. Contractor said he would order custom trim to replace what he removed. Additional side door was installed on Oct 27th by a sub-contractor hired by owner as previous installer was terminated. Sub-contractor did not have trim to finish sliding glass door or lockset for new side entry door (as stated in contract). Contractor called office to see if I could purchase at nearby store so contractor wouldn't have to return again. Contract was 1/2 due at order and 1/2 due after completion. I never received an invoice or a call for remainder of the contracted price, instead the company charged my previously used credit card for the remainder of the price. I have requested by email a refund of the $62.95 for the trim and lock set. I did submit copies of contract and receipt for trim and lock set.

Review: I had a contract drawn up on 6\20\14 for eight windows to be replaced. First the windows were fitted wrong and I had to keeping telling the owner he needed to take some of the money off and reduced the amount he had charge me.

The owner Andrew didn't want to back up the work that was wrong and didn't meet the contract on time.

The price was $ 740 plus$ 690 making it a total of $1430.Now the front room window is leaking and the rain has come In for two months and he said he's not going to fixed what he has a contract for a life time warranty.

Drapes are ruined and I called the home owners insurance adjuster to come out and he said the window need to be repaired ASA.!!!!

I have called twice and no response from him to send a person to repair.

A person came two weeks ago and he said the window needed the metals in and they could do it from the outside and cork .This was his worker!!!. He is out of order and take people money and don't want to stand by the contract.

Need relief, thank youDesired Settlement: Need fixed or replacement

Response:

we have tried an tried to explain to this lady that the water is going from the roof area and she has a short shingle problem. we have 3 other roofing companies saying they see this a lot in richmond. her shingles are not new they are about 5-10 years old. regardless of how old the roof is the main problem is she has a short shingle problem. installing drip edge can help the problem. the windows are not the problem. we are in the business to help customers with there problems. we even have a dedicated service team that goes out everyday to service our products and services. we even service other window and siding companies that won't stand behind there warranties. the customers pay use because they understand the we didn't cause the problem 9 like this issue). please call me on my cell 8045025515 wit any other questions. also please look at the pic I attached an you will see what is causing the issue.

After being recommended by a previous customer, I like to confirm the company, staff internal and external were very attentive. The price was unquestionably the best, the work also the same. Clean up great. The screen on the door arrived with a broken lock, the balance payment due they delayed until it was replaced and the job completed.

If you want "elite" windows, please keep searching! First, I will say that our initial impressions were good. The gentleman who came to our home on July 23rd for an estimate did a great job and was very helpful. We had previously replaced 10 windows with [redacted], and while we were impressed with the look of the product, we wanted to go with a local company for the remaining 12 windows. Elite had great reviews (and were about $80 cheaper per window), so we went forward with the project. From the first meeting we were adamant that, because of my in-home business, the project had to be done on October 23rd and 24th. We were told that was no problem and wrote the check for half of the total. From there, it all went downhill. Communication throughout the process was terrible. Measurements were taken on 3 different occasions and the only time we were ever followed up with is if we initiated contact. We made sure that everything was set for Friday, October 23rd (THREE MONTHS AFTER SIGNING OUR CONTRACT) and we were assured we were all set to go. The crew showed up to our house at 9:45 the morning of the 23rd confused about what needed to be done, one window was the wrong size, and the wrappings were wrong. The crew left by 2:45 that afternoon, leaving several windows unfinished and leaving exposed wood on several windows. That exposed wood sat for over 3 weeks before anyone bothered to come back out. Apparently the crew that came that day was fired, and for good reason. They left my yard littered with cigarette butts (which my 1 year old found and put in his mouth).
The crew that showed up to finish the windows were shocked and appalled that the wood had been left exposed.
Probably the most disappointing part of this entire experience has been the owner, Andrew. He has been unapologetic and downright rude to us on several occasions. He seemed unbothered that his crews had done such an awful job and even had the audacity to tell my husband, "It's not my fault that it's raining today." He promised to be at our home the day the second crew came so he could see the state in which the windows were left; he showed up for about 5 minutes- 3 hours after the crew got here. He has taken no responsibility for this train wreck of an experience.
We will never do business with this company again and will be sure to spread the word to our friends and family. We would gladly pay the extra money to have had a better experience.
