I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I am rejecting this response because: We have not yet had our running boards installed and paid for. We were actually delivered the wrong running boards, and they could not be installed. They delivered the correct running boards this last Thursday and we are hoping to have them installed today. Once the isntallation is complete and paid for we will accept the resolved response.

Thank you.

Review: I purchased a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Elk Grove Dodge on April 24th, 2016 which instill under FULL WARRANTY. The following day I drove home from work and the engine light turned on. First issue. Brought my car into their service center the following day, where [redacted] in Service told me it was my FUEL TANK PRESSURE SWITCH and that they had the part and to wait and they would repair it and I would drive out of there that day. Two hours of waiting and he told me to call an uber because I would have to actually have to leave it there that night. Second issue. I should have been offered rental service right there. But I ubered home and back the next day totaling $60 in ride fares. When I picked up my car the following day, the engine light turned on two hours later however I was headed out of town and could not bring it in for five days. They were notified and my sales manager [redacted] was supposed to have a rental car ready for me that Monday morning but when I arrived he had nothing handled and on top of that had a nasty attitude... issue three. I left upset and took my car back to get to work. Two days passed and no one contacted me so I had to call again to try to get someone else to work on my case. They told me to bring it in the next morning and everything would be taken care of. Picked up my rental no problem thanks to [redacted]. Two days later [redacted] called me to tell me that the EVAP LEAK REPLACEMENT PART would take 5-6 days to come in and I need to bring my rental back or I would have to pay for it because Dodge won't cover it in the mean time. Issue four. I find that absolutely unacceptable and have had no one console any of my issues or return my many phone calls and voicemails I have left.Desired Settlement: Firstly, my car needs to be completely tested to insure that nothing else will be defective, my horrible experience needs to be acknowledged, I need to be refunded my $60 is uber rides, or I will pursue a return and reverse contract or legal action if needed.

Business

Response:

The customers request seams reasonable. I called and left a voice mail with the customer at the phone number listed.

I will reimburse 60.00 for uber. We will inspect the vehicle per their request.

Thanks

Review: We paid for extras that we were upsold on the truck at the time we purchased the Dodge 1500 Big Horn SLT, 2014. We purchased this truck in June, and cannot reach anyone at the company to assist with the installation process. We purchased a bed liner, and wheel to wheel running boards. My husband and I have called multiple times, with no resolution. We normally speak with a lady named [redacted], and when she says she can't help us, are put on hold, until they say they cannot locate the manager and her will have to call us back. Which has not ever happened. I have called 3 times, and my husband has called at least 2 times. Always promised a call back to set something up, and then NO ONE ever reaches out to us.Desired Settlement: We want the parts we have already financed immediately, and we want them installed locally (Chico CA). I have driven to Elk Grove for the bed installation, only for them to keep my truck overnight and do nothing to it, do to a broken part from the contractor. Yet I was never contacted to reschedule. We live 2.5 hours away and are very busy with work and kids.

Business

Response:

Our Service department and a Sales Manager have made numerous attempts to contact customer after complaint was filed with no response. We will ship the parts to the nearest dealership if that is the customer's preference. Or she may come back to ours for the installation. Either way we are willing to help and want to right any inconvenience she feels she may have suffered. Once contact is made we will do whatever she prefers including paying for the installation of running boards at another dealership. FYI-The sales manager think they may be on their honeymoon at this time.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: it is untrue. I have spoken with [redacted] and we are getting all of the issues taken care of. At no point was either my husband or myself called without returning a call. I called [redacted] multiple times, and his answering machine was actually completely full the 2 through 4th time. So while he is doing everything to make it right, this response attempts to put the blame on my husband and I. That is wrong.

Review: I received endless amounts of phone calls from [redacted] at Elk Grove Dodge informing me that I had been pre approved for an auto loan from [redacted]. He assured me that I just needed to come in and pick out a car that I liked. On April 10, 2014 I went in to the dealership and was told I had to fill out a " basic application " so the lender would have all my updated information, so I did. They kept me waiting for about 3 hours and was never presented an offer. They told me it was to late in the day for the bank to make a decision and that they would call me the following day. I never received a call back but I received and alert that I had 11 "hard inquiries" on my credit. I went back to the dealership on 04/12/14 and expressed my concerns with [redacted]. I told him to please stop running my credit and that I was positively not going to purchase a car. The inquiries did not stop. To date they have done 26 hard inquiries in a 2 week period and now no longer return my calls. These excessive inquiries have drasticaly lowered my credit score. I feel violated and deceived.Desired Settlement: I want these inquiries removed from my credit report.

Business

Response:

We worked with multiple lenders to get Miss [redacted] approved in addition to numerous phone call to her. In addition Miss [redacted] could not prove her income. Her paycheck stubs did not back up what she claimed to have earned. Our finance manager spoke with her voicing his concern however she eventually did not return his calls.

Review: Missing Part on the Car I purchased

I bought a car 3-Saturdays ago and the salesman promised me that he will find the extra smart key.

I have been following up and has not returns call. Customer service wants me to talk directly to the sales person and would not resolve the issue.

It will cost like $300 plus my time to have the smart key duplicated.

I would rather be refunded than making me wait for three weeks.Desired Settlement: Smart key fob for 2011 VW GTI

Review: Lost personal information and salesman denies having car registration that was never returned to me.

I recently visited this 9/26/13 car-dealership intending to purchase a vehicle. I gave my car registration to the salesman to gather a car appraisal. However, I switched from one salesman to another and upon leaving this car dealer-ship I NEVER received my registration back in my hands. I called the dealership 10/3/2013 and spoke with a receptionist who forwarded the message to the Salesman [redacted] that I was doing business with on the day of 9/26/2013. [redacted] returned my call 10/4/13 and said that he has my personal information including my registration in his work locker and that he would not be in until after 12pm. I then spoke to the manger [redacted] on 10/4/13 who I explained and asked why my car registration would be in his employee's locker? I then asked [redacted] if he could have his employee [redacted] leave my registration for me to pick up on 10/4/13. However [redacted] called 10/4/13 very rudely and unprofessional stating that he didn't have my car registration after he indicated that he had it in his locker. No one has had common decency or professionalism in how to resolve this matter nor has any offered to try and find out where my missing registration could be located at in any of there offices. Nor has the manager indicated or reprimanded his employee regarding this issue.Desired Settlement: I would like for someone at this dealership to pay for the cost of having to replace my car registration.

To the best of our knowledge the registration was returned to the consumer. The salesperson looked at her file thinking he could possibly have it but remembered he returned it. We cannot get a duplicate, it has to be done by the consumer. For customer service reasons I will have the salesperson contact Miss [redacted] next week and offer a full tank of gas and oil change.

Review: I was looking to buy a Ram 3500 truck. The truck that I test drove did not have the factory backup camera and backup proximity sensors. So I said I did not want to buy that truck. The salesman said they would upgrade it to include the factory equipped backup camera and proximity sensors if I purchased the vehicle. I made sure to clarify that this would be the same as factory installed equipment, including the factory warranty, and the salesman said, yes, it would be and that he would handle the upgrade by means of a due bill. However, when the truck was delivered to me, the camera and sensors were not the same as what came with the factory installed trucks. I have on several occasions discussed this issue with the sales team, and they have acknowledge the issue and have tried to rectify the condition, but they inform me that it is not possible to upgrade this truck to be factory equivalent in regard to the camera and sensors. I did not receive what was promised to me.Desired Settlement: I want what they promised me.

Business

Response:

We made arrangements with customer to get vehicle. We did all available flash updates for the back up cameras and proximity sensors. This will alleviate customer's concerns. Vehicle will be delivered back to customer.

Review: On june 13th 2015 , [redacted] and I went to the Elk Grove Dodge dealership where we planned to trade in a 2012 dodge avenger, a car in which mr [redacted] had co-signed on for me to be part owner. Our plans were to trade in the vehicle so he could then refinance himself taking me off the loan all together and he was going to purchase a new truck. On this day I showed up as planned and a salesman named gary helped me and escorted me to the "vip" room or in other words the tv lobby where guests waited. For some reason I was kept out of the deal completely and was told there was nothing for me to sign and I wasnt even needed there. This didnt seem right to me but I never thought someone from the dealership.would lie to me or steer me wrong but I was wrong! In the week that followed I attempted to purchase a new vehicle from a different dealership, thinking that elk grove dodge handled the promise they made of getting my name free and clear of the loan from vefore. This wasnt the case though, I was able to get a new car but needed to show proof of being off the loan on the dodge aenger. Thinking this would be easy was wgere I wad wrong , because I wasnt made part of the deal due to gary lying to me that day, elk grove dodge made it nearly impossible to obtain a copy of the release of liability but after many attempts I finally received a copy, I thought I was all finished but now three weeks later im still having even bigger problems, Elk Grove Dodge has yet to send the final payoff check to capitol one so it shows that I am sill owner of the dodge avenger and not only that I now am beind a payment!? , this cant be right in any way ! My credit is at risk and I will have to return my new car if I cant come up with proof from them that I no longer iwn the car. Today elk grove dodge told me since I wasnt part of the deal they cant help me ! Ive been stonewalled by every employee of this establishment and would like to file a big complaint against the entire place they do horrible businessDesired Settlement: I need them to contact 1st investors ,and also future ford and capitol one auto finance to clear me off the dodge avenger that they now own!

Review: I went to look at a new vehicle 2016 [redacted] Grand Cherokee. Now I was going to walk away when I was told by [redacted] (sales Rep) told me I couldn't qualify for the vehicle I wanted. He then proceeded to tell me that I could qualify for the vehicle I wanted if I just stopped the payments on my old vehicle and let the bank repo my car, thus would destroy my credit. He would not let me leave till I signed for the new vehicle.

The next day, I had returned the vehicle to get my old one back, and the General Manager did not understand why I am upset with the sell tactic. I was told to let my credit tarnish so the sales rep could get a bonus point for selling a vehicle. They should never allow a sales person to tell a customer to let their credit become tarnished or let the bank repo my vehicle. Most of the time you need good credit to get a car.Desired Settlement: To have credit report fixed because they made multiple credit inquiries even though they told me they were not running my credit and also the fact they told me to just basically let my credit go by not making payments on my old vehicle.

Business

Response:

We are very sorry that [redacted] had a less than favorable buying experience. While we do offer our customers options, certainly we don't promote anyone to tarnish their credit. We are looking for repeat customers at Elk Grove Dodge and try to offer the best buying experience anywhere. Customers are required to have good credit in order to be approved for a auto loan. It is up to the customer whether they keep their trade or include it in the transaction. We are sorry for any miscommunication that may have taken place.

Review: Elk Grove Dodge would not warranty two bad tires on my new vehicle that I purchased from them. They stated to me that they did not warranty the tires and that I must contact the tire manufacture myself. I contacted the tire manufacture([redacted] Tire Co.)and thy told me they only deal with the auto dealer not the individual.Elk Grove Dodge refuses to return my calls and also refuses to return calls from Dodge customer service department.I spoke with [redacted] at Dodge customer service dept. on several occasions. SRT division [redacted]. Case #[redacted].I also wrote a letter to the general manager or owner and received no response.Desired Settlement: Replace the two bad tires or refund me the cash value.

Review: I bought a new 2014 Ram 1500 Express Crew Cab form Elk Grove Dodge on April 7th, 2014. I recently discovered a paint defect on the hood, front passenger door, right side bed and front fenders of the truck. The Dodge dealer had a collision repair expert take a look at the vehicle and determined that the hood, door, side of bed, front grill and bumper need to be repainted. Due to the color of this truck matching the paint exactly to the existing paint on the truck will be very difficult. I am not comfortable with the chances of the truck being two different shades of paint and requested that the truck be returned for a new one. Elk Grove Dodge said they would be happy with returning the truck and giving me a new one, only if I where to pay the difference of the negative equity on the one being traded in. this was the only option I had. I then called Chrysler Motor Corporation and was informed that they would need to repaint the areas that where defected and that if I wanted the truck to be completely repainted to avoid the chance of the colors not matching, that I would be responsible for the cost of repainting the other half of the truck. Non the less, I would be without the truck for at least 3 weeks. I find the actions of Dodge to be very unethical by trying to make money on trading in a new truck for another new truck and give me less then what my truck is worth.Desired Settlement: Replace the vehicle with the same model.

Business

Response:

To Revdex.com,

In regard to Mr. [redacted] Ram Truck, we do appreciate Mr [redacted] business and would like to find a way to make him a happy customer but Chrysler the factory has agreed to do the paint work necessary to repair the factory defects on his truck. Mr [redacted] wants Chrysler to paint the entire truck which they are not authorizing. Elk Grove Dodge is willing to take the situation into consideration and make the absolute best deal possible, but we are unable to pay what Mr. [redacted] owes as he is also in a situation where he had rolled a sizeable amount of negative equity into this truck from his trade at the time. We are happy to provide a rental car if Mr [redacted] decides to get the areas of concern painted.

Review: About a month ago, I telephoned your dealership to inquire about a used vehicle that was advertised on Craig's List. After talking with the salesman, we both determined that I would not be purchasing or even looking at the vehicle. Your cost was too high and the salesman would not negotiate a lower price.

I now receive a letter from JP Morgan Chase Bank indicating an application was received from your dealership and that a check through Trans Union credit reporting showed that my credit is not good enough to receive a vehicle loan.

I do not know what your salesman had in mind when he applied for a credit check or loan for me. I did not inquire about any possibility of a loan, nor would I have needed one as I would have paid cash. Also Chase Bank is one of the last banks that I would do business with.

I feel violated that some salesperson would request information about me without my knowledge or approval. Are your dealerships or salespeople trying to obtain information on people for their personal gain?Desired Settlement: I ask that you notify Chase Bank and also Trans Union of your error in asking for a credit check and possible loan. I await your action and reply in this matter.

On June 3rd at 8:59 PM Miss [redacted] applied for a loan with Cars Direct.com/Auto Club. At that time Miss [redacted] submitted her personal information needed for the loan process. On page 2 of the application there is a disclaimer allowing the dealer to run the persons credit. It states:

"Auto Club has an extensive network to provide you with auto financing no matter what your credit situation. By clicking the "Get My Car" button you certify that all of the statements in this application are true and complete and are made for the purpose of obtaining credit. You authorize the Auto Club to share your application and related information with its lending, automobile dealer, or other partners in order to complete the processing of this application. Numerous emails were sent to Miss [redacted] from 6/3/13 to 8/2/13. On 6/22/13, we received an approval from Capital One. On 6/26/13 our Special Finance Manager [redacted] spoke with Miss [redacted] and she mentioned having the necessary stips and down payment to complete the approval process.

After this point we were no longer able to contact her.

Review: On 01/06/2016 I brought my 2014 dodge caravan into the dealership for issues I have been experiencing with my van. [redacted] the service adviser couldn't find or try to find the appointment I booked 2 weeks prior to coming in, for issues on my 2014 dodge caravan. After he advised me that I can leave my vehicle and there could be a chance that they wouldn't get to it today I agreed but I did tell him that if they couldnt get to it to please call me to come back to pick it up. This was at 9am. I waited until 4pm and didn't hear anything back, so I began calling. After several tries and messages, I began to drive down to the dealership before they closed which was at 6pm. I get there after 5pm and began to discuss service issues along with why he waited so long to give me a call. He explained that there to busy and that my issue was a warranty issue that needed to be fixed. He wanted to know if I can leave him the car over night. I told him that I cannot because we needed the car for work and needed it to take my kids to school. He refused to give me back my car and said there is nothing he can do about it. I told him that he couldn't make me leave my car there and I wanted it back immediately. He shrugged his shoulders as if he didn't care. That's when I suggested a rental and he said that's possible but that they wouldn't cover the expense of it but he would be able to give me a coupon on a 60$ a day rental. I told him that it was a MOPAR warranty issue so there should be some kind of rental benefit. He denied any knowledge of any thing of that matter. I explained to them that what there doing was wrong, and they cannot hold my car hostage to make me go ahead with the services. He seemed like he didn't care, so I felt I had no more choices at that point. I felt cheated and that business wasn't done in good faith.Desired Settlement: I would like someone from service management or higher to contact me and explain why I deserved to be treated in such a disrespectful manner. To come up with a permanent resolution for this problem so it doesn't happen to me or anyone again. To be made whole again by the means of financial compensation or credit.

Review: Dodge took my car because my break light came on and I had a recall on my car then dodge had put the wrong part on my car so it would shut off then they tell me it will take a month to get my car back and would not give me a rental or try to help me out in any way I was researching the car and the problems with car car happens to alot of dodge cars about the break partDesired Settlement: I would have them to get me a rental because this is crazy a month...

Business

Response:

[redacted] has had a failure of the brake booster on her 2012 caravan. This vehicle is not currently under warranty for that failure. [redacted] is requesting a rental for the three weeks it is going to take to get the part repaired. Chrysler(FCA) HAS agreed to provide her with a rental. Chrysler Case number [redacted]. The customer has picked up that offer.

Review: My girlfriend and I went in to purchase a new car for her to drive. I had to work later in the day and but stayed until she was given the payment of $342. So I left for work. Then she was told to lie about her income on her loan application or she couldn't get the car. Her credit score is 734-780. She was stuck with a payment of $407. Which she can't afford. We tried to do one of two things, return the car and cancel the loan, or get her payments down to what she was originally offered. They gave us the run around said there's nothing that can be done and enjoy your new car.Desired Settlement: We'd like either her payments reduced or the car taken back.
