Review: I enrolled in an EMT refresher and had to drop it due to family issues that arose during the course. I emailed the instructor letting him know I needed to drop after 1/3 of the class was completed. He assured me I could receive a refund, as the refund policy I acknowledged stated it must be dropped before completing 50% of the class to receive a refund. I have completed and submitted a refund request to Victoria Vu, who said it was submitted. Upon several followups, she has not let me know the status of the refund or issued a refund from the company. The refund policy I was required to acknowledge and agree to when enrolling in the class said it would be processed in less than 30 days. This has not happened and I have not received any follow ups on my refund.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive a refund of the course in accordance with the policy I acknowledged upon enrolling in the course.

Review: I signed up for the EMT-B course and paid for all of the extras. I got a bad feeling about EMS University when they started to charge unreasonable prices for addons - $40 for a required T-SHIRT, $90 for online access! - I asked to be withdrawn and refunded over a MONTH before my start date. On May 7th, 2015, director [redacted] writes: "I have forwarded your request to our refund department." On June 9th, 2015, I write: "No refund has been issued as of today." The same day, [redacted] replies: "Thank you for your email. I have just been advised that your refund will be processed on June 19th. It may take a day or two for the credit to show. I just wanted to make you aware. Thank you for your patience." Today is July 7th, 2015. NO REFUND. My phone-calls are not being returned. It is just unbelievable that a business can steal and lie without recourse. $950 is a lot of money for someone considering training to enter a fairly low-paying profession. I just really want my money back, and I don't know what to do.Desired Settlement: I need a refund of $950 in accordance with my withdrawal form submitted on June, 9, 2015.

Good Morning Ms. [redacted] and Revdex.com,Thank you for forwarding this information to us to address. We had already authorized a refund for Ms. [redacted] to process on 7/23. She was aware of this date and did not provide us any further information that she would be disputing the matter. Unfortunately, because Ms. [redacted] issued an invalid chargeback on the account with her credit processor before the refund was scheduled to process, we were unable to issue a refund until the chargeback matter had been resolved. It appears that Ms. [redacted] was hoping that a chargeback would result in money being sent back to her account, faster than our normal processing time. However, if we had issued a refund after the chargeback was initiated, it would have resulted in a double refund being sent back to Ms. Courtney's bank account. This would have been an unacceptable result. The credit card company recently issued a decision in our favor since the chargeback was invalid. Invalid chargebacks cost both consumers and merchants a lot of money. They unnecessarily add to the overall cost of products and services. It is highly recommended to avoid such action in the future. At this time, we already have scheduled another refund, but we were waiting on the time to expire where Ms. [redacted] can reply. We have already rescheduled a refund for 8/23 to be issued less a $50 chargeback fee and less a $50 registration fee (if applicable) as the latter is non-refundable. Review: December 16th of 2013, I paid in full 1,345.00 for a Fast Track Course at EMS University. The class was scheduled for January 6th, 2014. On December 26th I emailed EMS University for a refund request due to a family emergency preventing me from attending the class on January 6th, 2014. I have placed several phone calls to Customer Service asking to speak with someone on the phone about my refund and they refuse to direct me to a manager. I have been promised a return phone call several times with out a response. I have only been able to receive the email address of [redacted]. I have emailed [redacted] several times and he refuses to give me a straight answer as to why I have not received my refund. It has now been 28 days since my request for a refund. I have emailed [redacted] today, January 13th, 2014 at 2:02PM. I have yet to receive a response. This is very unsettling I am in fear for my family that someone can just withhold my money from me like this without a logical reason.Desired Settlement: I need my money to be returned to me as soon as possible as I am already over due on several bills because of this.
