Energy Savers remodeled 2 bathroom for months. job completed on 7/9. On July 17 I walked outside between my house and notice sewer on the ground.
On March 18,2019 I entered into an agreement with Energy Savers to remodel 2 bathrooms, replace back house roof, and patio cover for $15,300. The job was signed off complete as of July 9, 2019. On July 17, I go around between my house and see sewer on the ground. At that time Energy Savers Rep shows up and I show him and he states, the cap is broke and we will be around to fix it first thing in the morning. I had already texted Energy Savers Rep to ask him did they leave my sewer uncapped or broke it, I have sewer on ground;and attempted to call Energy Saver Rep with no answer. Energy Savers Rep texted back to me states No mamm that's why I brought in a plumber cause that particular setup was beyond my realm of capabilities is the sewer in front yard or in that little breezeway between the bathroom and then laundry facilities. I texted Energy Saver Rep back with between the bathroom and the laundry, thanks. Energy Savers Rep texted Hey Customer we will be there in the morning hey Customer we will be there in the morning to cap that off. On July 18, I texted Energy Savers Rep and you may need to clean the water from the tub or shower is coming in the same spot. On July 20, I text Energy Savers Rep, good morning, no one never got here and water is from the bathtub or did you all not hook up my washing machine, I got water and mosquitoes and sewer. Energy Savers Rep texted me back washing machine is hooked up to the drain, Energy Saver Rep said it looked like the clean out got hit by the lawn mower and needed a new cap and collar;I was told it was the boys mowing boo boo. Customer did not reply

Desired Outcome

Energy Savers come back and fix the damage that was done to my sewer so I do not have sewer, water, and mosquitoes where it do not belong. I did not have this issue before they did this work.

Energy Savers of America Response • Aug 06, 2019

On the day after our company completed the work, the customer made me aware of a plumbing issue she observed outside the property. Upon inspection, I noticed overgrown grass growing in the immediate area of the sewage leak. As such, a natural assumption would be that a lawnmower was the cause of any outside sewage problems. With that in mind, I still agreed to assess the damage and design an action plan. Unfortunately, before I could do so, or even before I could determine any possible liability on behalf of our company, he customer found an outside party to repair the sewage leak. At this time we believe it is very unlikely that our employees or any of their practices were at fault, in any way, for a leak outside the house.

Thank you,

Yes, I did have it repaired because of the humidity and safety at my home, I had it repaired by a licensed plumber for this cost of $200.00. I do believe that energy savers did the damage because the entire time the back bathroom was being remodeled, the front bathroom was being used with no issues. Energy Savers plumber had to go outside to repair the back bathroom in the area where the damage occurred. And if sewerage was being merged outside from the front bathroom which was being used, no one from Energy Savers said a word. The Energy savers went to work on my front bathroom and the plumber had to go in the damaged area to go under the house. And again if the damaged area was having sewer out, no one from energy savers said a word. Energy savers moved outside tin away from my bathroom to replumb my house on both sides. After my front bathroom was complete and I went to the back of the house and noticed the sewer. And the day I found this issue energy savers said they would repair it. Thanks for your time.
