Dear [redacted] , You had contracted our services threw a [redacted] deal . I am sure when purchasing the voucher you were well aware of the limitation such a voucher has . In this case the services included in this deal were unlimited supply vents furnace and... basic dryer vent cleaning . The return air vents and main lines were not part of this deal. As many companies use the ability to introduce themselves to the public threw this kind of deals , we are unable to include all the services we provide in that voucher for 39$ . Upon arrival our crew has inspected the entire unit and found build up in the duct system , returns and main lines were no cleaned recently . All the findings were presented to you and from that point you had the option to either perform the services that the voucher had offer or additional work in order to sanitize, deep clean and remedy the air duct system. The price for that service was given to you in advance and after talking to our offices , you were given the option to make two payments, one for $500 and one for $400 for March 12. You were present the entire duration of the service, and our phone records show you had never called our office or filed a former complaint with our company ,further more your card was declined for the future payment of$400 and you had disputed the $500 with your credit card company , which after a detailed response from our part were able to receive back. We are a full service company ,and will be willing to fix any deficiencies in the service provided, I apologize for any inconvenience this matter has caused and as a good faith gesture we will be willing to wave and not pursue the remaining of the balance for the service. Sincerely, Megan E [redacted]

Dear *** *** ,
Your invoice should indicate if the services provided almost years ago are under warrantyIf that's the case , we would have been more than happy to revisit and redo the services if necessarilyAt this point ,we will not be able to
issue any credit for the services provided by another company.
Kind Regards,
Megan

Dear **[redacted],
Envirocair would like to apologize for any inconvenience we have caused
Our coupons advertised in the clipper magazine include a cleaning of all the vents and returns for $The advertisement also includes rooms of steam cleaning carpet and a basic one
sided dryer vent cleaningOn the day of the service, the items that you paid additional to have were not return vents , they were your main lines Our policy requires that the customer agrees to notify us of all complaints in writing within days of completion of the service, and allow us to inspect and/or correct any deficiencies in the serviceThis is stated on the invoice that you signed and dated on the day of the service (see attached)Our company does not use several aliases [redacted] is one of the local subcontractors that we work with
Your settlement for a full refund cannot be accepted because you submitted a claim several days past our policy and you did not allow our technician to inspect deficiencies (if any) in the serviceAs displayed on your invoice, you weren't charged for any additional return ductsThe carpet cleaning service advertised is for a steam cleaningThe advertisement does not state that we will sanitizing the carpets

Dear Staff Member,
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is mostly satisfactory to me.
The business can contact me via email at [redacted] or my cell phone ###-###-#### to schedule a re-do of the services provided (i.e. remove the broken UV light unit and replace it with a new one, which needs to be installed in the correct place, and the hole that was cut into my heating system needs to be sealed).
Please advise the business that I tried to contact them prior to contacting the Revdex.com but that two out of three numbers were disconnected, and that messages left on their voice mail that came on when dialing the third available number were not returned.
I am not quite satisfied with their response that they can't reimburse me for charges that I have incurred due to their faulty work. If they had installed the UV light correctly, my system would not have had any mold.  I would expect that a reputable business would be able to reimburse me for those costs.

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
[redacted]
Let me disagree with your decision and ask you to review our correspondence once again.
1. Before contacting you I have contacted [redacted]. Their response stated their concern how your services have hurt their business: “Even though your purchase was made from one of our independent sellers, we realize that this experience may influence your decision to visit our stores again.” They also apologized on your behalf. The problem is not in the advertisement but that the services described in the voucher were not provided by your company as listed and customers are overcharged to get the work done. It is your company that has published the misleading advertisements and needs to be held responsible.
2. I would like to underline that at the time of the service, I was not offered to sign any contract displaying that I was knowledgeable of the services rendered, as you are stating in your response. The only document the technician gave me was an invoice with no company contact information nor invoice number. I was able to find your contact information after I received the detailed credit card statement. Again, your statement is not true nor valid.
3. The final addition to the distaste for your company was the discovery of missing jewelry from my bedroom after your technicians left. Two boxes with brooches that belonged to my grandmother have disappeared from the top of the shelf. The family value of the two pieces has no monetary measurement and the sentimental impact is enormous. How your employees selection policy /if any/ works is probably “sensitive” information but it looks like that thieves are sent to customers’ homes and the company unintendedly becomes part of the theft too.
Considering my statements, I insist once again that you revisit my case and refund me the amount of $ 79 which is the price I have been charged for servicing the smaller return vent. Once again I would like to underline my intentions to peacefully resolve our conflict by agreeing to have paid the extra price for the bigger return vent.
I am attaching a copy of the voucher that clearly states one return vent cleaning included.
Regards,
[redacted]

No rotating brushes were employed - they merely stuck a shop-vac type hose in the vents they cleaned. No all natural products were used, and they did not clean the vents/ducts on the first floor claiming that they were the same vents as those on the second floor. The manager to whom I talked game me a 20-minute runaround about why. All I wanted was for him to have his people come out and complete the job.

The cleaning tech looked into my HVAC system and told me I needed additional services and tried to sell them to me. They left shortly after I declined the offer.

I originally bought the service because I wanted the vents in my daughter's room cleaned as she has asthma. She lives on the first floor of the house, but the vents in her area were the only ones that were not cleaned.

After much back and forth, he agreed to complete the job, however when he then went off on another tangent condemning people who don't read the fine print I had enough. I hung up because I would rather you help me with this company than for me to ask them to complete their contract with me.

For the record, when I asked him if he had other complaints, he would not answer. I suspect there are others who have had issues with the ads this company runs.Desired Settlement: I believe that this merchant should be instructed not to mislead the public.

Review: I had a scheduled appointment today at 4:00pm to 6:00pm that the stated company, however my appointment was cancelled because I did not make myself available to your service worker before my allotted time. I HAVE TO WORK. And unfortunately EnviroCare does not pay me... I pay you all. And for me, the customer, to be inconvenienced because I did not work around your schedule is completely outlandish and shows poor business practices. And furthermore, when I called to inquire about my "cancelled" appointment the person that I spoke with was unprofessional, rude, and hung up on me several times. I have NEVER dealt with a company such as this and I will be sure to right reviews as well as inform the masses on how unprofessional and unethical this company is. I have never been treated this way by a company. This is completely out right terrible.

I am 5 months pregnant and am having severe breathing issues, that is why I initially requested to have this service preformed. However the company and the owner refused to provide a service that I had already paid for.Desired Settlement: I would like to request a full refund for the prepaid services that I did not receive from the company. I would also like to receive an apology for the employees as well as the owner for being very rude and unprofessional.

Review: We purchased a [redacted] voucher for $50 for $170 of services from EnviroCair Duct and Carpet Cleaning. The technicians arrived, cleaned the vents and the return, and then went downstairs to the furnace. Once in the furnace, we were shown "mold" and told it was absolutely necessary for the mold to be cleaned that day. The technician stated the treatment usually cost upward of $700 to $1000, but he would contact his boss to see if we could get a discount since we had the [redacted]. A few minutes later we were told the treatment would only cost us $469 and it was a "great" deal. I asked what type of mold it was and the technician stated he would have to send it off to the lab and it would cost $170 to determine what kind of mold it was. The technician started working immediately (with a respirator, no gloves) and we quickly did some research. When I confronted the technician about the cost of the work, as well as the necessity of it, I was told he was pretty much done and he couldn't stop at that point. I asked why the treatment was so expensive and the technician explained the chemicals were expensive. I spoke to his supervisor, [redacted], who advised the solution was all natural, organic and non-toxic and, therefore, that's why the treatment was costly. When looking at their website for the ingredients of the disinfectant, they are listed as silver ions, citric acid and a whopping 95% other ingredients. Neither [redacted] nor the technician could tell me exactly what was in the solution. When I explained to [redacted] the consumer feels pressured into accepting this "deal", he offered a $69 discount (which was the "max" he could do). When I thanked him for his efforts, and explained that we would still file a complaint with the Revdex.com, [redacted] promptly stated the discount was no longer being offered. After a short verbal exchange, [redacted] advised he was a man of his word and that he would honor the discount; he also asked what I attempted to accomplish by filing a complaint and stated it would not be resolved. After the phone conversation, I requested the technician write, on the receipt, exactly what the mold treatment included: "We did mold treatment.... we cleaned with chemical and wipes." I then paid $400 cash for the service. My complaint against this business is regarding the use of dishonest add-ons, pressuring the consumer by telling them it's a service that must be done immediately, not being able to explain exactly what was done for the cost and for dishonest and dishonorable business practices, in general.Desired Settlement: Our desired outcome is to pay only for the fair value of the service rendered. Nothing more, nothing less.

Review: I had called to make a complaint about the services provided to me. [redacted], who answered the phone started to tell me " just tell me what the tech did" -not the way a retail sales personnel should start the conversation when I was calling to complain. Regardless what you may feel, as a customer, I have every right to feel dissatified if the job was not done upto code. Even if I have paid for the service, I can be dissatified after the fact. As a retailer, you should have started with an apology. It may not be your fault but it was your company that handled my purchase. The service provided to me was poor but so was your attitude. You begin to tell me to have the complaints in writiing. That is how your 100% satisfaction gaurantee works? When I asked for the address, you gave me a false city- not sure what that was about. When I asked for your name and said that you were not kind enough to handle this matter with me, you began to tell me that you have never heard that about you before. Then, your so callled manager got on the phone and said that you were being nice but I was being rude and hung up the phone on me... Again, not professional!! I can be rude because you guys took my money and and didn't provide the correct service. You should have shown me the very least, an attempt to make this better.Desired Settlement: Just need both manager and [redacted] have it in writing of apology.

Review: Contacted service by phone - carpet cleaning (ad in magazine stated 100% satisfaction guarantee)

Was told appointment was between 9-11 am not that tech will arrive between 9-11

Tried calling them many time to see where they were.

After 38 minutes post their "window" they said the tech was late and would be there in 40 minutes ( but I had to call them to find out)

Another 20 minutes went by and then I received a call from the tech who said he would be another 1 hour because he never received the address from the dispatcher.

I wrote them to express my dissatisfaction and that I was enacting their 100% guarantee (because time is money and they wasted my time with their disorganization and lack of attention to detail). When I told them I had no intention of paying them for the service, they decided not to even show up. They didn't bother to call and inform me though. Instead, they just told the tech not to go to the house. I finally called them after a total now of 5 hours from the time they originally set for the appointment and they said they wouldn't come because I wasn't going to pay. I explained that satisfaction is inherently determined by the customer and that if they had come and I had paid, I would have still asked for my money back and they said they wouldn't come unless I gave them a credit card payment.

I am concerned that their advertising makes the potential customer think they are going to do the job and do it right ... but, they seem to have no intention of honoring their 100% satisfaction guarantee which is noted on their website as well as the ad I used to call them. They should not be allowed to use the guarantee on their advertising if they do not honor them for their bad customer service ... because customer service is as much a part of their overall service as the actual carpet cleaning.Desired Settlement: Not only do I want the service completed gratis, I would like them to remove the guarantee from the ads and their website.

Business

Response:

Dear [redacted],

You contacted our company on November 22, 2013 to schedule a carpet cleaning service. On November 23, 2013, a call was placed and a voicemail was left to confirm your appoint on November 23, 2013 between 9-11am. Our call was never returned and the appointment was never confirmed.

We provide our customers with a 2 hour window for arrival. As with any service company, time intervals are provided because we cannot guarantee that the technician can make an exact time.

The 2 hour window is not an allotted time for the appointment because there is no way of measuring how long the appointment will take until the technician arrives.

You were informed of the cancellation via email (see attachment) after you refused to pay for the work and harassed our staff via phone. Our satisfaction guarantee pertains to paying customers for services that were performed.

In conclusion, your desired settlement cannot be approved.

Sincerely,

Claims Manager

Review: I bought the package with following description: "Valid for unlimited supply ducts, 1 return vent, and 1 dryer-vent cleaning. Valid only for residential cleaning".

Technician performing the services pushed me into signing the paperwork before even starting the work. After that he tried to force me into buying additional services for extra $400, which I refused. After it he became progressively rude. He refused to clean air outlets in 3 upstairs rooms after cleaning outlet in one room stating that they all are connected to the same ductwork. Contract said that ALL OUTLETS should be cleaned. He disassembled dryer went and opened up the furnace. After refusal of the cleaning of all outlets he collect all his tools and drove away from my house, leaving all work unfinished and appliances open. He was extremely rude and acted extremely aggressive. When I ask for his supervisor phone # he refused to give it to me. I'm completely dissatisfied and feel that this company should not be allowed to scam people anymore.

Thank you.Desired Settlement: I want them to do the job correctly and honor their claim. The technician who came to my house should not be allowed in this line of work. He refused to honor me as a client. I want to get et least an apology. I got my refund through groupon.

Review: I purchased a voucher through [redacted] for Whole-House Air-Duct and Dryer-Vent Cleaning. I paid $39 as advertised. According to the voucher the service included unlimited number of vents, one return vent and dryer vent cleaning. When the technician came he said that the return vent cleaning was not included but only its maintenance. I called the office but the representative said that the technician knows his job. So, I was offered to pay additional $ 188 for 2 return vents. I tried to explain that one return vent is included in the voucher and was willing to pay for the second vent. Finally, I was offered 20% discount and ended paying $ 150 in addition. This voucher is absolutely misleading and a fraud and the activity of the company is criminal.

Note: The voucher was purchase in [redacted], GA and the name of the company is [redacted]. Phone number ###-###-####. I found the registration name of the business in MD after searching by the phone number listed in the detailed information on my credit card statement. The receipt that the technician gave me does not have any information about the company such as name, address, phone number etc.

Once again, the advertisement is a fraud and the company is robbing the customer who have live on a budget and struggle with the current economy.

Thank you!Desired Settlement: I would like to get partial refund for the second return vent cleaning.
