My experience with Envision is limited but may be insightful for potential customers. I am nearing a month in my new home and have been with Envision for two weeks. I would rate the overall experience 8.5/10.
We'll start with the positive: Justin P, the salesman and my service manager has been outstanding! Justin is extremely responsive two weeks in and from the start I get the sense that he cares about his job. It shows that he works hard and is committed to a positive experience. We went over what options were available and what would suit my needs. Justin paid close attention to what kind of equipment I would need and what it would cost me. The downside was that I felt pressured into getting the system at that immediate moment without much time to process my options.
The installation was scheduled for the next day. Given that my house was pre-wired with an older security system, set-up took less than an hour. This included the installation of 3 cameras, a security panel and 2 thermostats. Donald was very quick and attentive.
Just like that I had my system set up and my home was secured. Quick, easy but I am left to wonder if it is worth what I will pay for over 5 years.
Room for improvement:
There is a lot of information to digress to customers including: duration of contract, balance of contract, maintenance, warranty, etc. This information is not exactly transparent so make sure the salesperson explains these terms PRIOR to any signature. I asked various people up the chain of command simple questions such as: what is my camera gets stolen? Do I still have to pay for the stolen one and pay for a new one? I was assured they would take care of it. This is NOT mentioned in the contract therefore not enforceable.
There was a soft pull on my credit (more of a neutral note; just for your information as a consumer).
You have to download two separate apps on your phone. One is strictly for the cameras and the other is for the security system. A little annoying to have to go back and forth between them.
You will have to learn the system (which is not complicated) and apps most likely yourself. Sales and install members are in and out.
Cameras (Arlos) take a nice, clear visual shot but the audio is better. My only issue with the cameras as of today is that sometimes they do not start recording until a couple of seconds late after motion is detected.
Again, I am generally pleased with my experience. My only concern is that you are locked in for 3 or 5 years and are at a monthly fixed rate, which basically means that you are paying for some expensive equipment. If Envision can come through with their promises of taking care of their customers then it will be money well spent. I have a feeling this will be the case or else you will all hear from me again.

Had the security system for a year when we moved out of our home. Customer service told us we could not cancel since we signed a 5 year contract. Even though the house is no longer in our name and a different family is using it. We now have move out of state and we still can’t get them to cxl our service with them. Horrible experience by far.
