I am a former employee with Equitable and I owe them a back charge for commissions paid not. Not a problem. I have tried to pay my bill multiple times over several months and I can not get into the system to pay. Every time I call or email I get told I need to talk to another department and am given a list of phone numbers to call that always leads to me being passed around Last time I was told I needed to talk to Ask IT and when I asked for the number because I no longer work there I was ignored. I am tired of being hassled for a payment by them that they will not allow me to make.

Good afternoon, we reached out to *** on Wednesday, 07//2020 to understand the inquiry. *** had agent related debt of $ 45.04 on the books, and we understand he was trying to reach out to the proper contacts at the company to resolve, and he was getting sent to the wrong contacts within IT. Once we received this inquiry, and spoke to him, he agreed to send a check to remit the debt owed, and is satisfied with the response. I've attached the email communication we have with ***.

Thank you,

Stephanie G

So far I have spent almost two hours on hold. Worst customer experience I've ever had and I'm almost 60. Called the customer service number. I started a stopwatch because they have been slow in the past. After 54 minutes a representative came on and asked for my name and contract number. He took a minute or two, then said "may I put you on hold for a minute?". Without waiting even a fraction of a second for me to answer put me on hold. Then, the automated voice told me that I was 70th in line! I had already been on the line for an hour. I have now waited 50 more minutes (1:44 total so far) and I am still 18th in line. Please note that I did try to do my business online, but was told I could not and given a number to call.

Was invested with John C of AXA for 10 years in a Ross IRA . I would have been better off leaving my money in a bank account. When I decided to leave AXA they charged me a handling fee of $1600 and another 120 dollars administration fee. I lost allot of money using this company and it was in a guaranteed fund.

I am a Financial Advisor and am absolutely disgusted with the poor customer service exhibited by AXA. We have many clients who try to move their accounts out of AXA coming from teaching jobs, etc. Our typical experience, is a long wait time over the phone, followed by a rude sales representative beoing extremely salesy to try to convince the client to stay at AXA, and often times they flat out hang up on us and never call back. My most recent experience is a client who wanted to move their money back in January. We submitted the paperwork on January *** and still have not received the funds despite following up CONSTANTLY. I called them three times today. The first time was with the client and they said it was not in good order to be moved out of AXA because the 90 day limit was up. I told them it's only been 73 days. They put me on hold for a while and confirmed. I asked for a call back to confirm when it was in good order. They said they would definitely call me today and low and behold- no call. I called back and sat on hold with a gentlemen named Ken who was very rude and then hung up on me. I called a third time and spoke to an extremely rude man named Romell. When I asked to speak to a supervisor he said they would get back to me in 1-2 hours. I am not expecting a call back at this point. This is a ridiculous and speaking as an independent advisor who does roll-overs all the time with every company, AXA is by far the most difficult to deal with.

I wish I had researched them better, They get your money, and play games to keep you from cashing in (I wish there was a lower rating possible). I bought an annuity 13 years ago, through fees and small print, it has not grown. Now as I am trying to get my account annuitized, they again play games, and do not assist, but rather run you around in circles. Horrible company, horrible NASTY help.

I was enrolled with the pretense that they would assist me with my student loans. After enrolling, the student loan payment lowering was magically triple the cost. I asked my advisor to pause my account until I could figure the student loans out. He stated he would. It didn't happen and after several emails and phone calls, the phone number said it was not in service and the email was returned. I called customer service to find out he no longer worked for the company. I asked to cancel my account. It took 2 months, but it was canceled. Now 3 weeks later, I am still waiting on my refund.

The advisor made claims of lowering my student loan repayment, but when it came time to actually do it, it was unable to be done. I asked my advisor to lower my contribution while I straightened out my loans. I filled out the paperwork he sent and after 3 days, he stopped replying to emails. After numerous attempts to contact him, the emails began being returned as an "unknown address". I called customer service and was told he no longer worked for the company. At this point, I wanted to ended my business with them because of the lack of communication and poor customer service. After 2 months, I was finally able to find out how to do so. I faxed documents needed to cancel and asked my newly appointed advisor for information on who to contact to assure they were received. He never replied. I *** messaged asking who to contact, they stated someone would contact me. Never did. Finally, my account has been canceled. Terrible business and customer service.

I cannot believe all of these negative reviews. I have had excellent local reps who return phone calls and emails promptly. My investments have grown significantly. My only complaint is that if I call their toll free number instead of my local rep, the people answering the phone are useless. They always tell me that they don't know the answer and that I have to contact my local rep.

Insurance agent posing as Financial Adviser, Dishonest, 2.5% AUM Fees, 6% Termination Charges
Please listen to me and don't make the same financial disaster mistake I made by "investing" with AxA. These insurances agents are not fiduciaries and do not have your best interest in mind when selling you their products.
They do not disclose hidden investment penalties, They are usurious .They will keep your money or implement ridiculous surrender fees even for rolling your investment into another Company's investments. Once you have invested your money with them, you will never see it again!
Their Client service is nonexistent and unprofessional. They are crooks!

I had a life insurance policy that I canceled 7 years ago and, to this day I am still getting bills from them. I ave several calls where they put me on hold and never get back on the line. I also sent many letters and the bills stop for about 3 or 4 months and then I receive more bills. Policy number is ***. I get no satisfaction in resolving this issue. Yesterday sept *** I received a bill dated sept *** saying that I owe them $30,623.53. Please help me in getting this situation resolved as I do not know what other actions to take. Thank you for your assistance.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely

HORRIBLE customer service. I've told the representatives 10 times my SS# and cannot waste more time on these sm. They just hung up on me. THEY SENT ME a "time sensitive notice" and then play these games. Can't imagine if you actually need them. Called at 10:30 on 9/4

I finally try the number of AXA online technical help for password resets and immediately ask for a supervisor (again after waiting for 20 minutes in the queue) the agent I spoke with was kind and caring and actually stayed on the line with me till he got a supervisor. It was now about 6 pm Friday and I'm freaking out that they little money I had in the accounts has been permanently stolen. The supervisor said he could see my accounts on his screen but couldn't understand why they had been removed from my online dashboard. He explained that due to the time he was unable to get anyone from the right department (remember he is computer technical assistance) since they have all left for the day. He tells me that it looks like my accounts are set for payouts, but there is nothing that can be done till Monday, when he will follow up with the right department and then with me. He tells me either way he will call me Monday morning to let me know the status. He also said he would put a complaint in the customer care department and that someone from there would be in touch with me for the problems I had. To date no contacts from my advisor, customer service or anyone. God help you if you have AXA.

I’ve been trying to rollover my account from AXA to a different plan for over a year. Every time I fill out and submit the paperwork (which I’ve done 3 times now) they mail back and say I’m missing a form. I’m extremely frustrated and I definitely do not recommend this company.

I have said I want paper bills sent several times and it never was solved. It caused me to be late when I never had been before. I want my bills for my premium payments sent to me as it has been done for 20 years plus in the past. They are by mistaken thinking my extra interest payments are premium payments, and I asked for those to be separate. They need to stop making mistakes.

This is to acknowledge your e-mail dated May *** 2019, addressed to ***.

As we discussed, we have searched our records and were unable to identify policy ***, as an AXA Equitable Life Insurance policy. Per your suggestion, we did reach out to the client, ***, by telephone. *** confirmed that the policy is a New York Life Insurance policy.

We believe this inquiry should be redirected to New York Life Insurance company.

I hope this information is helpful to you.

Respectfully,

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID.My complaint should have been directed toward The New York Life insurance as I said in my complaint. The matter has not been resolved do to Revdex.com's mistake.

Sincerely

I have asked several times since July *** for a letter that states that AXA will pay beneficiaries and not the Estate, and each time I have called back I have been told that they will be emailing a letter at 5:00 PM. So far this week after calling every day, I have been told it would have been emailed on ***, ***, ***, ***, *** and still no letter.

This letter is needed for the Clerk of Court, as I have stated time and time and time again. If I do not get the letter by Monday noon, I am calling their CEO.

These people are nothing but crooks! There is no other way to describe a company that targets the life savings of senior citizens. My experience with AXA is absolutely horrifying!

Absolutely the worst customer service in the industry. Wait and hold times are crazy, no returned phone calls, voicemail boxes full for weeks, no help what so ever. I would never, ever use this company again.

I have been trying to move a 403b account to *** since Oct 2018 and AXA will not release the funds even with a letter of acceptance. STAY AWAY from this company!!! I have not earned a cent in more then 6 years and if I hadn't been contributing, I would have less then I had 6 years ago. I stopped contributing and have attempted to move the money and they do not comply with normal financial procedures!

is my AXA Representative here in the Dallas area. I emailed *** ("E***") on Sunday March *, 2019 and asked him to transfer $6000 from my brokerage account into my account at the ***. I then called E to confirm that he received my email and he said that he did indeed receive the email and that the money would be in my account by Thursday. When I did not receive the money on Thursday, I called *** again and he said it was a good thing that I called because he would not have noticed that the sell did not go through, and that I would have to wait until today, March , 2019. It is now 4:59 on Tuesday March , 2019. My account is overdrawn and I do not have any money to get me through until payday on March ***. I can only hope and pray that *** did not further complicate and mess up my account while on his vacation this week. His attention to detail on the this very important transaction has been sloppy at best. I will definitely be moving my money to another financial advisor but would like for *** to be reprimanded and fined for damage to my credit with my bank and for his sloppy and unacceptable work as a financial advisor. Tomorrow is another day starting with a negative balance in my bank account all because Charlie E can not do his job while preparing to take a family vacation. Well.... I hope you are in better control of your own bank account ***!
