The manufacturer offers an APR alternative program whereby they offer reduced interest rates in lieu of the customer using the "cash back" rebate. So for instance, when you see a 0% ad from GM or other manufacturers, that offer is always being made "IN LIEU OF REBATE"........and so what that means, you do NOT GET BOTH.....you do not get both the rebate and the low APR offer....... In the case of this customer, the bank approved his loan at the lower rate (inspite of the low credit score" but they did so under the program of what I just described above.....he got the low rate but it was "IN LIEU OF CASH BACK" of the $5000.00........that made sense for his situation because had we recieved an approval the other way( using the entire $rebate) they would have socked him with a possibly 20% interest rate which would have cost him considerably more even though he financed $less......ALL THAT SAID, he expressed great displeasure with what the bank had approved him with, and so then I gave him a MUCH HIGHER TRADE IN VALUE which helped absorb the fact that he was not APPROVED FOR THE ENTIRE REBATE that is available on the car.....Thats the whole storeThank youMike C***

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] This car was in the shop different times with in the for months I listened the vehicle the car was a lemon and was not properly serviced with in less then hrs of heaving the vehicle it would not come out of park now in this response to me hhr said it was the transmission cable which technically should be covered under warranty but at the shop I was *** it was just the shifter cable so therefore was lied to

Customer stated this resolves his concerns

We apologize for this situation. We sent the contract that had an extended warranty included to the lender. Ms *** decided she didn't want the extended service contract at a later dateWe contacted the lender who would not allow us to recontract for a lesser payment upon removal of
the warranty charge. So, we instead, issued a refund of the warranty and sent this to the bank in order to bring the balance to finance in line. Ms *** is correct, we have not and are unable to lower the payment in spite of the lower balance to finance. We have explained this to her relative who lives near by our dealershipI am very sorry this has occurred. I cannot change the terms of the contract at this point. If this situation is too much of a hardship, I will even go as far as to say, we can rescind the entire transaction should she be willing to bring the car back to our dealership for the purposes of returning it to us as if the sale had never occurredShould she wish to do that, she can contact R*** ***, Used Car Manager at *** Thank you*** ***

Mr *** purchased a used, high mileage Chrysler Sebring. He purchased the vehicle full well knowing the age and the mileage and he purchased the vehicle "strictly As-Is". We have had his car in our shop a couple of times since he took delivery and have made a couple of repairs as such at
no charge to him. The most recent visit occurred just prior to his sending the Revdex.com this complaint. He came to the service department and met my service manager, *** ***. Mr *** complained of a noise and the manager asked to hear the noise with Mr ***. Mr *** was unable to produce the noise but in trying, the shift cable to the transmission broke as a result of putting the car in and out of Park over and overThis made Mr *** very upset at which point he abandoned the car, stripped it of its license plates and left the premises. He claimed he wanted nothing to do with the car and was not going to continue to make payments. I am happy to have service look at the car for Mr *** would like. I'm really not sure where the car is at this point......did Mr *** come and get it? Did the bank repossess it? Or is it still on our lot? Maybe Mr *** can clarify and let us know how to proceed. I apologize for his inconvenience. We certainly do not try to sell cars that will have trouble. We look forward to the opportunity to resolve our customers concerns. Respectfully*** ***

I'm just confused on what happened to the rebates.  That's my only concern, I was told the bank was taking 4k of the 5k in rebate. I would like to know why the bank can take the rebates.
