[redacted] initially visited our dealership on to have a Safety Recall performed The part required to complete the recall was not in stock and had to be orderedWhen [redacted] came back to have the recall completed she informed us of her check engine light being on and requested that we diagnose and repairThe first step in diagnosing any issue in which the vehicle’s computer issues an error light is to attach a diagnostic device and retrieve the triggering codeThe code returned pointed to a failed oxygen sensorThe cost of parts and labor was $plus NYS sales taxOn [redacted] returned to the check engine light concernError codes showed that the oxygen sensor had failed againThis prompted the next step on the diagnostic tree which found that the fuel injectors were leaking and fouling the oxygen sensorAs an additional courtesy we replaced the fuel injectors free of chargeI called [redacted] on Friday, to discuss the matter further and she confirmed that the check engine light is indeed back onI apologized to her for any inconvenience and expressed our desire to continue diagnosing her vehicle and that she would not incur any additional diagnostic charges [redacted] stated that she would have to think about it and would call me back with a decisionIf you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me Sincerely, Philip Jean-R [redacted] | Process Improvement Manager Hillside Honda [redacted] [redacted] *** [redacted]
