As seen by a number of similar complaints, the business has encountered this complaint from many users before, yet continued to deceive new users and then justify their actions with fine print.I appreciate the placement of my information on the do not contact list, however there are several problems that remain.First, the website has not been updated in any way.  It still compares itself to sites that provide immediate price comparison shopping online,while returning exactly zero quotes on the website.Second, the website does not prominently or sufficiently disclose the nature of the business, that the personal information entered by the user is immediately sold as a lead to insurance vendors to immediately contact the user.Third, I had no way to add my information to the do not contact list except to file a Revdex.com complaint.  I reached out to the company three times through their contact form and received no response.

Dear Mr. [redacted],Our website and services have been evolving continually since our inception in 2011 and will continue to do so, certainly taking into account feedback like yours and as the industry itself progresses with technology improvements that enable us to do so.  We serve millions of consumers per month with our service, continually survey for satisfaction and results and maintain an average reported savings for consumers surveyed of greater than $500/year.  While we take any and all feedback very seriously, the 80 complaints you reference are not representative of our overall performance at scale and our standard response is simply because the concerns encountered by this small group of consumers who voice them are both understood and common.  We maintain Revdex.com as an open channel to receive this feedback and will continue to strive to eliminate such experiences all together in the coming months and years as our service continues to improve.  Again we are sorry it was not to your satisfaction.Best Regards,The EverQuote Team

That is roughly 80 different individuals, all complaining of the same issues I have. It is obvious to me that you have not made any attempt to correct the situation and probably have no intentions of doing so.  Therefore I do not accept your response. ]

  I submitted a complaint on 4/12/17 asking to have my name removed from Everquote's databases and all of their affiliates and companies they sold my information to. I still am receiving spam from life insurance, dating services a dnothers and I want them stopped. While the volume has diminished I am tired of all the garbage I continue to receive .  Stop ALL unwanted emails from Everquote, their affiliates and companies they have sold my info to.

It doesn't address a single item in my desired outcome/settlement requests sent in my complaint. It's a cookie cutter response to everyone who finds this to be a scam, which based on the reviews on Revdex.com, is a lot of people. It makes me feel like my complaint wasn't even read. Please address my outcome/settlement requests.Additionally, your wording in the response seems to show that you know, and are intentionally trying to be deceptive in your advertising and on your website in attempt to make more money. If you didn't hide your practices by making someone go to the FAQ page and slide it into the second paragraph of the privacy policy, then you would be a more transparent company. You advertise this as a quick and easy tool for customers yet you want them to comb fine print to see what they're really getting themselves into, which is just a scheme to make you money at the expense of those looking for a quick way to compare insurance.Again, review both of my messages and address all of the requests I've made and respond to all of them.[redacted]
