I will be sending a check this week for half of the amount owed and will then send the remaining amount the first week of March.

I am rejecting this response because: although you are correct, the check was cashed February 2 making it 4.5 months and not 6 months:- There are no updates from you without me chasing- I often write and wait a week for a response- Your responses are not substantive - You typically refer to a general "oh there are several interesting opportunities" which was the same thing you said when you hadn't received the check yet... and yet 4.5 months later, not a single opportunity has arisenI don't see how moving forward is going to change anything.
Sincerely,

The claim my client is making is not fully accurate.  I have been in contact with her about the remaining portion of the refund and will continue to strive to remit the remaining balance to her as soon as funds become available to me.  While the time to remit has been longer than expected,...

I remain committed to making sure that the agreement for the refund will be fulfilled as quickly as possible.  Additionally, I will maintain communication with my client until the full repayment is completed.

I recognize my client has some frustrations with the job search.  Yet, her account of what has transpired has not been completely accurate.  We have been engaged in the search just over 4 months, not the 6 months she claims.  During the search to this point, my client has changed her...

goal(s) as to the type of position and industry she wants to pursue.  That is fine, but it must be understood that it takes time to begin heading in a new direction with regard to the identifying of target organizations and recruiters.  Additionally, I had related to her early on that I had a serious personal situation which was taking much of my time and asked that she be patient as I sought to resolve the issue and then get back to the search accordingly.  Graciously, she was willing to be patient as I dealt with this very serious personal matter involving the health of my wife.  However, during these past 4 months, there have been numerous activities on my part on behalf of my client's job search.  While there has been little in the way of actual interviews, there have been a number of opportunities, organizations and recruiters whom I have approached for my client.  I believe, at this juncture, we should renew the search and start fresh to gain a clear understanding of my clients new goals and then proceed to put the search into high gear toward the gaining of a new employment opportunity for her.  I am committed to making a renewed effort to push the search forward with regular updates and communication.  My client desires a new employment situation and I know that I can help her achieve that goal.

I had contracted with my client as he described.  However, I began work on his search right away - in fact, I had done some initial work for his search prior to actually receiving payment.  There were a few weeks after we had officially begun the search to where my communication became...

very limited as my wife had a very serious health condition which required much of my time and attention.  Nonetheless, I did perform some work on behalf of my client during that time and was very willing to do so in continuation.  However, my client refused to continue our engagement and was no longer receptive to the assistance I was offering.  I am fully willing to continue on with the job search assistance that we originally set forth in our agreement and have communicated that multiple times.  Since my client refuses to continue with the aforementioned service, I will seek to make refund arrangements that will be satisfactory to both parties.

Early on in the search process with my client there were numerous companies and opportunities which I was pursuing on her behalf.  After a few months, I began having significant personal challenges involving the health of my wife.  More recently, my mother and mother-in-law whom I help...

care for have had major issues with their health and living arrangements which has required much of my time and attention and thereby caused many interruptions to my work schedule.  However, I have recently made arrangements for their care which will allow me to focus more intently on the work of my client's job search.  My schedule is now available and I have an earnest desire to renew the search effort and start fresh in fulfilling our agreement as I am confident there is much I can do to assist my client in finding the new opportunity that she wants to secure.

A check for the remaining balance of $800 was sent today.  A tracking number for the mailing was emailed to my client.

While I appreciate my client's frustration with the arrangements we have made, the claims that he makes are not all accurate.  Nevertheless, I have been and am willing to provide a refund.  In fact, I just sent him another check for $700 as part of the refund payment which he has now...

deposited - 9/12/16.  I will strive to make sure the refund is completed as soon as possible.
