Expansion Industries Reviews (45)

I had a very positive experience as a customer. My product arrived when they said it would and has performed well. I would definitely order from Expansion Industries in the future.

Apparently I am another victim of this dishonest company. Ammo was ordered on-line 5/23/16. Credit card charged immediately for $204.95. I initially had confidence in the firm, since I had purchased from them at an ammo show in Raleigh, and thought they were an honest company. After waiting over 2 months I began to make inquiries. Multiple calls to the company failed...nobody to answer the phone, and the mailbox was always full so unable to leave a message. Emailed via their website, and with personal email...multiple times. No response. Like others, we have turned this issue over to our credit card company.

I've ordered several different times, various types of ammo, from expansion and so far I have yet to have a problem with any of the rounds. I have used them in training classes and just at the range and as far as I can tell its all in top notch shape. They can be a little slow with shipping, but they have A+ customer service and will quickly work to fix any issue and respond very promtly as well.

I was told upfront about their back log in production, it was never an issue,

my order was ready when they said it would be, and no other problems

shipping was great and the pricing sells its self.

Review: I placed an order for products via website on July 2, 2016 under order # [redacted]. The products were paid for that day. The payment was processed and funds removed from my account. The site stated that I would be contacted for a hazard shipping fee before the item would be shipped. I sent several emails requesting the status of the order. I did not receive any return email or telephone calls regarding my placed and paid for items. Several attempts to call Expansion Industries, LLC result in the call is answered by an automated answering service and states that they are in the other line assisting other customs and will be with you shortly. There is some music and then goes to a voice mail system that is full. I have been trying to contact them for several weeks had have even text Lucas Smissen. I have not received any response yet.Desired Settlement: FULL REFUND or Delivery of products already paid for.

I had a positive experience with Expansion Industries. The ammo is great quality. I placed my order at a gun show & was told there would be a lead time for delivery. They communicated to me during the delay. My ammo was delivered as communicated and has been great quality.

Review: I made a purchase of .380 ammunition from Expansion Industries on 6/13/16 (Order number [redacted]) for $274.95 which was paid in full at that time.

As of today, 7/21/16, after 9 attempts to contact them to get a status on my order - 4 voice mails, 4 e-mails, 1 facebook message - I have received no response whatsoever.

The lack of response is appalling. The business practice of charging customers in full at the time of the order and then not providing any timeframe for shipping or response to status queries is unacceptable.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund for my purchase and I would like contact from the business.

Great price and product! Arrived earlier than expected. Customer Service was super helpful when I had issues with the online ordering. I would highly recommend and hunting, gun and shooting enthusiast to buy at Expansion Industries.

Review: On December 12, 2015 I ordered - and paid for - multiple products from this company online. Now, nearly 5 months later, I have received only 1 part of my 5 part order (19% of total order cost-wise). Regarding the received package, I did not receive email notice indicating package shipped which was a part of our agreement as well. I have repeatedly called, left voice messages, and emailed this company in attempts to make contact and resolve the issue, without satisfaction. This company has not performed in accordance with their communicated intent to fulfill orders within a reasonable amount of time, and I now feel I have been cheated and ignored.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back as I no longer trust this company will satisfy it's implied intent to fulfill my order within a reasonable period of time.

Hi my name is [redacted] I purchased 500 rds of 124 gr 9mm bullets from expansion industries it did take a little longer then I expected but the it was worth the wait, the bullet all fired with no miss fires that's pretty amazing, I for one will be purchasing more bullets thanks expansion industries

Have been doing business with EI for some time now and not disappointed.

Review: I ordered 500 rounds of 9mm ammo from the business in early May 2016. I have yet to receive my rounds from the business. My order number is [redacted].Desired Settlement: I would like to just get my money back. The coast is $104.95

Review: Hello,

I have been working to resolve my issue directly with the company since my original order date on January 6, 2016 without success - and as I strongly believe, an intentional act to mislead and commit fraud. I have counted the emails (well over 15), the unreturned phone calls (either 4 or 5) and a one-on-one meeting with the president of the company at the [redacted] Gun Show. I have PDF copies of the emails as well as emails of my receipt from my original order. I no longer receive returns to my emails or multiple calls.

At every conversation, I was informed, that the order would be processed. At this point, I do consider this action to be 'theft'. My action to finally dispute my credit card charge is officially entered with my bank but I do not have any update on the status of that investigation.Desired Settlement: Other than my hope for a refund of my charge, my higher level desire is to see that this formal complaint is logged into the Revdex.com for when someone else my be duped into spending money with the "reputable" firm.

Response:

I spoke with this gentleman multiple times and have tried to get a resolution from him. All of our systems indicate that we shipped the product and it has been received. I have attached his original invoice to the complaint above as well as the document stating the package was delivered back in December. The weight for 1K 223 is right around 26-27 pounds. This was delivered months ago so I am not sure what the issue is. I have tried to get to the bottom of what the no proof of delivery and fraud practices but it is insulting to hear we are a fraud when I can take you to my website and show you 1000s of orders who have been processed and delivered. I understand people can have issues and get frustrated but to attack our companies character is unjust. The proof is above. You can see the invoice address and the proof of delivery address which was delivered December 19th that was 4 months ago. So if he has a different issue I am all ears but I have no idea why this is coming up. I am happy to look in if there was another issue but our company delivered this a long time ago.Sincerely,Expansion

Response:

On Thursday, April 14th, I finally made contact with writer of the response you received - I initiated the call to him. The information he provided in his response to the Bureau is 100% incorrect. During our call, I reminded him (for the 4th time) that the order he referenced in his response is not the one I was raising as my concern. Mr. Smissen confirmed that the one I have been after since January was in fact never shipped but was charged to my credit card. He also confirmed that there were several other orders that went missing from that time in his company's tracking system so I am not the only person with this issue.Mr. Smissen has apologized for the mistake and stated that he would work to ensure that I receive my order by the end of last week or maybe this week. After almost 4-months of dealing with the failures of this company, I am dubious at best as to his claim of getting this shipment out. That other orders, placed months after the one I made, were still a priority over mine was even more disturbing. I sent Mr. Smissen an email on April 15th listing these very concerns and that I would be contacting the Revdex.com by Sunday (last) night if I did not receive either a shipping confirmation or a refund notice. As of this note now, I have received neither.I no longer care to coordinate with this company and wish my concerns to be part of the public record. Thank you for looking into this matter and please continue your efforts as you can to help resolve this issue for myself and any other individuals who may be in this same situation.Respectfully,[redacted]Complaint ID: [redacted]

l ordered ammo 1 month ago it has not arrived to my home they charge my credit card when I placed the order form said ammo was in stock, I ordered ammo once before and it only took 3 days to receive. I got a email from Mr Lucas stating that if you give them a good review that they would give you merchandise it seems to me they our in over their head on getting peoples orders to them and to offer stuff for a good review with the Revdex.com YOU SHOULD NOT TAKE PEOPLES MONEY IF YOU CAN NOT PRODUCE A PRODUCT IN RETURN

I've purchased ammo from Expansion several times and have been completely satisfied each time. I have recommended them to several friends and they have also been happy.

I ordered 1000 rounds of 9mm from them. So far I've gone through approximately 600 rounds and not had a single malfunction of any sort. Fires much cleaner than tulammo. I think for the price, this ammo is a good deal.

Review: I placed an order on March 22 2016 with Expansion Industries. Order number [redacted]. They charged my credit card on March 24 2016 for the full amount of the order. I have made repeated attempts to call them with no answer from them. I have also used their website support popup. On June 1 I was given a response from "[redacted]" that expansions industries was awaiting an order of projectiles to fulfill my order. I have used the website support popup since this response and received no emails in return. This order has been processing for 5 months now with no response from the company. The webpage has not changed since I have placed my order where they have written on the front page of the site that the orders will take 2-3 weeks. By searching google and Facebook I can find that I am not the only one that has never been shipped my order.Desired Settlement: The desired outcome would be to have the product delivered asap. I feel like this is not going to happen after reading reviews by other customers who have placed orders with Expansion Industries and I would like a refund so that I may take my business elsewhere.

My order was back ordered. Delivery was well before promised date! Got my invoice and I had been charged shipping when free shipping was applicable. I contacted customer service and was given a credit for shipping immediately. Now that is customer service.

I ordered 500 rounds of 9mm from Expansion Industries during a gun and ammo show in the Dulles Convention center. While ordering I took the opportunity to talk with a few of the employees about their company and was happy to hear about their small business success. American owned, American values, small town U.S.A. Great story. The ammo I ordered was remanufactured and arrived like new, in great shape, clean and uniform. I am very pleased with the product and service. Counted out my order totaled 503 rounds, lucky me.

+ quality. All of the ammo was in great shape and uniform. I reload, my caliper measurements showed negligible differences per round.

+ performance. I have been to the range 3 times with this ammo and have fired just short of 200 rounds. No malfunctions, failures to feed, good grouping and clean firing. Time to order more.

+ Sevice. The ordering process was a snap. It took exactly as long as I was told it would for my box to arrive. No surprises, they were very forthcoming with their information.

Review: ordered merchandise in April 2016 and paid with credit card. Their web site claims three to four days max ship time and now it is five weeks and I still do not have the product.Desired Settlement: merchandise delivered
