This taxi company picked our group of 6 up at my apartment complex in a van. He began to drive without starting the meter and did not tell us what he would charge us before starting to drive. When we asked why the meter was not running he told us that this is a "van service" and they charge 5 dollars a person, which would be 30$ total. We take taxis often and have never paid more than 15 dollars for a ride to the same area including tip.
