Review: I have been visiting this car repair shop for years simply for inexpensive oil changes. This time, I brought it in and requested an oil change, and also asked them to check out two noises, one loud clicking noise behind the dash in the heater/AC/fan system, and the second which was a very quiet sound I only heard occasionally. I did not request any other services. I also informed them that I had purchased tires at Discount Tire and that Discount was handling the balancing, etc., so I did not want them to do anything with respect the tires, wheels, etc. The employee completed his service form, but I did not have an Express Tire credit card with me, and in fact probably destroyed it because I did not want to use it any longer. So he looked me up on the computer, and told me there was no problem, so they billed the charges to "CarCare Credit." I signed the form, trusting that he wrote down what I requested they do, without reading the entire form because I trusted them from past years of simple services. They told me that the quiet noise was the most damaging, and that it would be very costly to repair the louder noise behind the dash ($700-$800), so we agreed that they would just fix the more important problem, since the loud noise wasn't damaging anything in the vehicle. I went across the street to have lunch, and when I returned to pick up my Jeep, the bill was $262.92, which I could not understand. When I looked more carefully at the invoice, I saw that they had done a wheel alignment ($89.99), "combustion chamber decarbonization," "combustion chamber cleaner," ($62.49 and $27.50), changed the spark plus and installed ignition components ($138.99), installed a "drivebelt tensioner" ($189.99 -- part price?), and installed a drivebelt tensioner ($70.00). Then, somehow, after charging me $262.92 largely for work I did not request or want, the final bill which they charged to the Car Care Credit card was $590.00 and some change! They have never justified this charge, but kept asking me to come in and discuss my concerns. I am well aware that auto repair shops such as this try to talk women into paying for work not done or not necessary, so I did not want to go in and have them attempt to justify $600 in charges for an oil change and to correct a noise. I do not want to ever visit the business again, and I see that you have a lot of complaints against them and that they are not a Revdex.com member, so I can certainly see why. These folks need to be closed down, as they are dishonest and take advantage of their customers.Desired Settlement: Credit $590.00 to my Car Care Credit account.

Review: 8/28 I feel I have been a victim of fraudulent activity from Express Tire. I came in for an oil change; no other concerns. 6:07 received a call that I needed a new coolant housing; my car was leaking coolant excessively. They assumed I was covered under warranty and I verified I was not multiple times. I asked for a quote. I didn't want to ruin my engine and advised I wanted a 2nd opinion. He said he would call back with a quote think his name was [redacted]. 20 mins later a call came I now just need a gasket. Unsure the reason he advised the p[redacted] ~ $300. I told him I have work (they were closing) and would need my car he stated my car would be ready when I arrived.I asked to see my car when I arrived and saw it pouring liquid; never seen it before no smell no puddles prior. They advised I needed hoses now not a gasket. They showed me one spot of a crack and pushed it excessively rather than just shining the flashlight. Again asked if I was going to leave it and I advised I needed to go to work but could bring it back after. They said to bring it in and I would be OK until the weekend but not to exceed Sunday; I agreed. I paid for the oil change and left.Leaving I noticed grease stains on the door drivers side, no new milage sticker, and oil was not reset digitally. I drove 4 miles and noticed smoke coming from my hood; I couldn't stop with cars trapping me. I went 5 miles when my car smoked immensely, my temperature gage went normal to high in less than a millisecond, lights, noises, and alerts began. I was stuck by myself on the road at night 8pm. Scared, crying, and upset.I towed it back. On 8/29 my mother assisted to get it fixed while I was working. Picking it up [redacted] the manager had no reason for the experience I had, did not care about my concerns, only agreed that his technicians shouldnt have advised I was okay until the weekend. [redacted] took my credit card without attempting to do any recovery or satisfying. I asked for a Military Discount and he sighed doing it. I also took my parts.Desired Settlement: I would like to ensure my car has been cared for properly and correctly. To do so an inspection from Chevy I confirmed 8/29 is $109. I also believe Express Tire was the cause of the major leaking. IF it was beginning to crack I feel they have expedited the leak for more money and I don't feel right paying about $250 dollars (after military discount). I believe the service and concern should have been present especially with a manager. I also believe the cost of labor should be refunded.
