One of the delays was due to the fact that ***, the customer’s contact person, is no longer with the company [redacted] , the owner of the office, has assured me they will take care of her issuesNecessary items needed to finish the job were re-ordered on 4/and the customer was contacted on 5/and given an update and plan for completion.Thank you

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:This is not accurate information, and I have emails and text messages to prove what they are saying is inaccurate. The windows were on the original purchase agreement, which can be seen on the estimate that ABC Windows sent to my contractor, which was then sent along to my insurance company, etc. These windows were not offered as compensation for the delays, in fact NOTHING has been offered as compensation for the delays, and these particular windows have been discussed with [redacted] , [redacted] , [redacted] and [redacted] on multiple occasions. I am happy to provide text messages and emails going back and forth from the moment we contracted with ABC windows that included these windows in the original contract. It is not a patio door that needs to be replaced, it is the glass next to the patio door, which the insurance is covering under the windows portion of my claim. Again, this has been discussed multiple times. [redacted] did visit the house last week and took some measurements, but not all. When [redacted] was at the house, it was discussed with him in detail, as it has been many times, that the doors do not need to be replaced, it is the stationary glass next to the doors and was noted on the original contract as "Picture windows". [redacted] then called the next day and gave a backhanded compliment of my home to try to get himself out of paying for what I have contracted with them to do. Also, the 2 windows were not broken in shipping. 1 window was broken in shipping, the other window was broken by their installers when they were installing the window. All windows on the original agreement have NOT been installed. Of course money is still owed to your company. As with most contractors, half of the money is paid up front and the remainder is paid when the job has been completed. The job at my home has not been completed as per the original agreement. Regards, [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute
Mr***, I am following up from out phone all on 8-25-and my email from last week We have not hear back from you and need to know when both replacement door sets are ordered and will be ready for installation Thank You *** *** ###-###-####

The initial delays experienced with the *** job were due to delays in submitting the order and payment by her contractorThe paperwork was held up over three weeks before it was forwarded to America's Best ChoiceThere were issues with the manufacturer, as wellWe were working with what we
had in order to do the job as quickly as possible, as we are out a considerable amount of money until the job is complete and paid forApparently, the previous manager of the location promised to give her two additional windows that were not on her purchase agreement as compensation for the delays and troubleNobody, besides him, was aware of this until recently*** went to visit and see what she was expected and what was promisedThe extra windows were actually a patio door that should have been covered in the insurance claimMrs*** said she would get with her husband to decide what they would do regarding the door and their insuranceBesides the door in question, there are two pieces of glass that were broken in shippingThose have been re-ordered and are expected very soon in our warehouseWe will follow up on the patio door as to how to proceed and install the two glass units as soon as they are receivedAll windows on the original agreement are installedWe will act as quickly and professionally to complete the outstanding items, as I expressed before, there is a substantial amount of money still due our company

Sorry for the delay in getting back with you. As we discussed, the fact that your door was once a sliding patio door (retro), has made it a little more difficult to source a door from a manufacturer that will be an upgrade and surpass the quality expectations you desire. Fortunately, I have two options that offer a great solution. We can do steel doors that include blinds between the glass, which is a significant upgraded option and have it within just a couple of days, or we can do fiberglass doors in the original configuration that can be here within approximately two weeks. In either case, there will be no additional charge to you. Please decide which you prefer and we will get your choice in here as quickly as possible and schedule the install at your earliest convenience. Thank you. Matt [redacted]President/CEO###-###-#### Office###-###-#### Mobile###-###-#### Fax

I have been trying to contact ABC Windows who states they are very busy and and will have Brian or Matt get back with me. I am being put off. And yes this is an old issue that has not been resolved. The manufacture did not get involved until I contacted them. My goal here is to get a written response of what actions are going to be taken by ABC to correct any damages to my home while my windows were leaking. Also any agreement that was made for my making arangmebt a to accommodate their schedule. We need to have a date set at my convenience that ABC will commit to completing all correction. This has been going on for almost one year now.

Thanks for sending and I apologize for my slow response.  I am attaching a copy of a letter that we sent to the customer on February 10, 2016.  As noted in the letter, we plan to address all of the customer’s issues and we have new windows and parts on order.  We are also giving the...

customer a sizeable discount due to the issues they encountered.  Please let me know if you need additional information.

We have resolved this complaint.

The two picture windows mentioned were ordered and according to the manufacturer, are to be shipped Thursday and arriving at our office Friday 12/9. Upon receipt of the windows the office will call to schedule a time to install the two windows and the outstanding glass unit. That will complete the job.
