Fair and Square Remodeling, LLC Reviews (28)

Fair and Square recently redid the kitchen in my condo. The process of working with them was great and they navigated the nuances of working with the condo association well. When we met with our designer she assessed the size and shape of our kitchen and gave us a brochure outlining costs that fit our specs. I naturally assumed that every detail I wanted to add would cost more but was pleasantly surprised to find, as she walked us through our options included for the $34,000, the price included all of the options I had in mind - white cabinetry, cambria tops, and Brazilian cherry floors. I am very pleased with the entire process and the end result and would have no problem recommending them to anyone looking for an enjoyable experience remodeling.

When it came time to finish the basement in our new house we had a pretty good idea of what we wanted and Fair and Square helped make it happen. We rely on my mom for childcare, which means she is often staying with us during the week. I wanted a place where she could have some privacy in her own time so we decided to finish the basement to give her a private bathroom and kitchen area. I was kind of dreading the construction process but it turn out to be kind of fun. The bathroom was pretty straightforward, with vinyl floors, a vanity and shower. The kitchenette included quartz tops and is perfect for both my mom and any future entertaining we will do. The carpet keeps the space warm and it looks beautiful. The design they recommended really works well for us. The communication was better than I had hoped for and they were pretty transparent with everything that was happening in my home. I'd definitely give them an A on this project.

We love our home and our neighborhood and really didn't want to move but found that with a growing family we simply needed more space than our current house had. After investigating the purchase of a new home outside of the neighborhood and meeting with several contractors to see if we could modify this house to better meet our needs we settled on adding a mudroom, sun room and master bedroom suite to the back of our current home.

We went Fair & Square Remodeling to complete this addition and they were great from start to finish. They have a seasoned team that always kept me informed of what has happening and when. They has a lot of creative ideas to maximize the space for use and comfort and were great about helping me make good decisions that kept me within my budget. The best part of all is the delightful job they did of matching the new addition to the character of the existing house which was so important to me.

What can I say, we LOVE our new kitchen from the quarter sawn oak cabinets with Cambria countertops to the beautiful new floors. The design Fair and Square recommended included taking down an wall that separated the kitchen from the dining area and putting in a new window - the whole space feels completely different and its exactly what we had hoped for.

As for the experience of working with everyone at Fair and Square, again, no let downs here. There project manager kept me informed about the timelines and the tradespeople were friendly and knew their stuff. To my delight, they actually finished my project an entire week earlier than they originally anticipated. No regrets going with this contractor!

After a bit of research and some personal referrals I selected Fair & Square to complete a bathroom remodel for me. This included installing a new tub, shower, vanity, fixtures and lots of tile work. I went with a look that included tile on both the floors and walls and couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the work that was done for me. The craftsmanship in the tile work is extraordinary and I really feel like I have a unique look that fits my home and personality just perfectly. I may have been able to find someone to complete this remodel for less money but I doubt they'd be able to match the level of quality I got using Fair & Square. I even got a check back from them for the unused portion of the contingency fees they charge for unexpected costs outside of their normal estimate!

Dan cancelled his construction agreement the day we started his project. We provided an itemized list of our costs and refunded about $23K back to his title company from the original draw we took. Dan would like more money back, but there simply is not any more money to be refunded. According...

to our contract, we could have charged him the full overhead and profit for the project, we didn't, instead we simply charged him for the costs we had into the project and we provided an itemized bill showing where those costs went.

We are very satisfied with the 2nd story master bedroom and bathroom addition that Fair & Square did for us. We’d planned for a long time to build out a bedroom suite so it fun to work with this group to pull it all together. They were full of great ideas to make it the perfect space. They paid attention to the smallest details and we always knew what to expect next. They kept the project on budget and we couldn’t be more thrilled with how it turned out.

I had Fair and square complete a bathroom and kitchen remodel in my home. In the bathroom they installed glass tile on shower and walls, put in a new vanity and countertop, tiled the floors, and put in a new sink and faucet. My kitchen got new cabinets with mission style doors, new stone counters, and bamboo flooring. They were very clear on their pricing. Their designer came out and looked at the shape of my kitchen and gave me a handout that showed the costs for my kind of kitchen was about $34k. She then showed me all the selections I could make that would keep me within my budget and I chose to do an additional tile backsplash upgrade. They managed to finish the whole thing in 6 weeks. I also love that I was able to use their 12 months same as cash option.
