Revdex.com:

Hi, [redacted] !As per our phone conversation today(8-11-2017) here is an info about the owner of VW Fairfield dealership:Robert R[redacted] is identified in Revdex.com files as the President of the following automobile dealerships: Kings Toyota Inc., Kings Kia, Lincoln Mercury of Kings Automall, Kings Chrysler Jeep Dodge, Saturn of Kings Auto Mall, Inc., Northgate Lincoln-Mercury, Inc., The Body Shop, Saturn of Beechmont, Fairfield Lincoln Mercury, Inc., Lincoln Mercury of Beechmont, Kings Auto Mall Body Shop, Kings Volkswagen of Loveland, Subaru of Beechmont, University Chrysler Jeep Dodge, Kings Automall Used Car Center, and Kings Mazda. Separate reports on these dealerships are available upon request.Below is a letter, Mr. Tony B[redacted] sent to me on 8-01-2017:"Mr. [redacted], The driving events that took place while we had your car are equally disturbing to me as they are to you.  Aside from the misuse of your car, he potentially placed others in harm’s way and put the dealership at significant risk. I have taken what I believe to be prudent action with Mr. S[redacted] and I do know that he is certainly remorseful for what he has done.  I am a firm believer that we all suffer from poor judgement at one time or another, at least I know I do. I know you have been a very loyal customer and I hate the thought of you not returning over the poor choice one person has made.  I think you know that this is not an accurate representation of Fairfield Volkswagen and its many employees.  I also believe in second chances as I have been afforded many myself, both personally and professionally. I hope that you will reconsider your statement regarding not returning to Fairfield for future needs. I hope that someday we see you and your car in our dealership again. I noticed that your R will be coming due for its 40,000-mile service soon.  I think it would only be fair to offer to perform the 40,000-mile service on your car at no cost to you if you choose to give us that second chance.  Please feel free to call me if you would like to discuss this matter further. My direct number is [redacted]  Sincerely,  Tony B[redacted]General ManagerFairfield Volkswagen[redacted]fairfield-vw-volkswagen-cincinnati-logo-v3-compliant-blackty... far as “attacking other dealerships under the same ownership as ours, and his rhetoric on social media …” per Mr. B[redacted] response to Revdex.com - his statement is not true ! I’ve got copies of all statements I’ve made on social media in regards VW Fairfield dealership services. I consider the actions taken by Mr. Tony B[redacted] in regards of the horrible event in July 27, 2017 were not sufficient enough to justify to bring my expensive car for any services to this dealership. I think you would agree with my statement considering that the disgraceful technician involved in the aforementioned event still employed at the same dealership. I believe it would fair for me and Mr. B[redacted] to compensate my future expenses of 40000 mi service of vehicle in the amount of $500.00 and I will withdraw my complaint.I appreciate your time and help in this matter !Sincerely, [redacted]

As of the afternoon of August 3, 2015, we had been in contact with [redacted] and it is my understanding that we have agreed to address his issues with the scratches and dents. There was some additional information required by the lender which [redacted] has agrred to provide. At this...

time, I believe the issues have been resolved. If there is anything else that [redacted] would like addressed, please direct him to me. Regards,[redacted]General ManagerFairfield Volkswagen

Mr.  [redacted] provided an estimate to perform a timing belt and water pump service. Nowhere does it state that the engine was not timed correctly nor does it state the actual cause and/or repair of the no-start condition. It does not state that any work was done other than a basic compression test and a visual inspection.  There are no signatures of anyone authorizing repairs. There are no signatures of anyone from [redacted] stating repairs were completed.  If the engine was suspected of being out of mechanical time, common sense would dictate that timing would have been confirmed prior to performing a compression test for fear of damaging the engine. If this engine was not timed correctly, it would have failed the compression test.  The timing of the fuel injection pump does not change during a timing belt change because specialized tools are required to perform this service which lock the pump in position. In addition, a mis-timed injection pump would not keep the car from starting however, a failed injection pump would do so. We guarantee our work for 12months/12000 miles. Mr. [redacted] should have contacted us prior to having repairs performed elsewhere. This appears to be nothing more than an attempt by Mr. [redacted] to recoup his expense of a timing belt replacement to offset the cost of having another repair facility replace the actual causal part, the fuel injection pump.  No refund will be issued. Regards, Tony B[redacted]General Manager

To Whom It May Concern,I have included my recent email correspondence with Mr. [redacted] for your convenience. As you can see we have made reasonable attempts to settle this matter in an amicable manner. After consulting with my general counsel, I took swift and appropriate action regarding the...

discipline of my employee in question. Mr. [redacted] emphatic statements of never returning, attacking other dealerships under the same ownership as ours, and his rhetoric on social media leave little incentive and very few options for me to assist him any further.  My employee admitted his wrong doing and is remorseful for his actions. He has penned a letter of apology to Mr. [redacted], which I have held until this matter is resolved. How we handle employee discipline will not be dictated by outside influence.  That being said, I am still willing to work with Mr. [redacted] to resolve this matter.   Regards, Tony B[redacted]General ManagerFairfield Volkswagen

What would help is explain to me what additional information can I provide?  The bill from [redacted] which I provided is clear to me what was repaired.  I my opinion it provdes more detail on what was completed then the bill from the dealer I had to paid to remove my vehicle from their facility (ransom). I provded pictures from [redacted] on parts not installed correctly.  [redacted] expllained to me the timing of the injection pump the dealer wanted to replace was off by two teeth on the timing. The General Manager called me a liar but the same orginal injection pump is still functioning in the vehicle. [redacted] provded my the old parts that were replaced, which I never recieved from the dealer.  As for getting the dealer's permission to repair my own vehicle his staff never told me that when I removed the vehicle. I have ask many questions without any answers from the General Manager, like was to tech qualified to work on my TDI? If I would have allowed the replacment of a functioning injection pump how would the timing of the motor and the injection pump have been resolve?

To: Whom It May Concern After reviewing Ms. [redacted]'s repair paper work, I can see how this incident would be confusing to the consumer. Based on my findings, I will make a one time concession to refund the diagnostic charges she incurred. Seeing as Ms. [redacted] paid in cash, we will issue a refund...

check to her in the amount of $117.43. The check will be mailed to her address of record. Regards,  Tony B[redacted]General ManagerFairfield Volkswagen

[redacted] had multiple conversations with Ron W., Sales Manager, on 3/16/17.  We have thoroughly tested this vehicle in an attempt to duplicate the customer's concern and can find no mechanical faults.   We have agreed to rescind this transaction and refund customer's...

money as a one time goodwill gesture.  Regards, Tony B.General ManagerFairfield Volkswagen

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Mr. B[redacted] and the Revdex.com The information I provided to all is not an estimate but a bill from [redacted] which I paid to get my Beetle running. The bill along with the pictures and return of the parts are clear to me that timing of vehicle motor was completed correctly which also includes the timing of the injection pump by [redacted]  A question to Mr. B[redacted] would be why did I have to pay for a service that left my vehicle disabled in your shop (the ransom)?     Why not just call me and say, Sir your service is complete and your vehicle is ready for pickup?  Yes, I understand a compression test was completed but disagree with Mr. B[redacted] comments.  I understand this test is completed by cranking the motor not starting the motor.  [redacted] did ask me before any work was started if your service department tried to start the vehicle. Which I say yes, as disclosed by your service representative and the fact my battery needed to be charged. So Mr. B[redacted] can we agree that with your mechanic’s continued cranking of the motor to get it to start and my new trusted mechanic correcting the incorrect placement of a belt tensioner we do not have a damaged engine?    Is that not a good thing?  Again Mr. B[redacted], had the motor failed in your facility would you have replaced it with a new (not used) motor free of charge? Mr. B[redacted] are owning specialized tools limited only to Fairfield Volkswagen? Mr. B[redacted] when I came to picked up my Beetle with the Auto Transport Trailer why did your service representative or service manager not explain the rules that I need to contact you prior to having repairs performed? Now Revdex.com is where Mr. B[redacted] and I disagree, He said “In addition, a mis-timed injection pump would not keep the car from starting however a failed injection pump would do so.”   As I explained earlier that I was told the injection pump timing were 2 teeth off, therefore the motor could not start and stay running.  Mr. B[redacted] when a diesel injection pump is failing it gives you subtle hints and warnings. Do you agree? Why was this not brought to my attention at my previous appointment on Sept. 28 for an unrelated item?  Again, the day I drove my beetle into your facility for a timing belt service appointment I had no issues.     Mr. B[redacted] are you calling me a liar with your sentence?   “This appears to be nothing more than an attempt by Mr. [redacted] to recoup his expense of a timing belt replacement to offset the cost of having another repair facility replace the actual causal part, the fuel injection pump.” Mr. B[redacted], my Beetle is now in service again with the same injection pump as it drove into your facility for service of a timing belt.  If your staff could have provided a good explanation of why the injection pump had failed I may have been able to stay a submissive customer like those now and in the future.  I am still asking for my cost as shown in my complaint.
Regards,
[redacted]
