I am rejecting this response because:I did a thorough search and found 2 additional records where my middle name was entered as my first name. My first and middle name were entered randomly with bogus information which is why I found so many records listed in my name connected to the individuals in the previous links I submitted including the ones below. I have provided the links below. Please remove these records also.  I have also provided a snap shot for both records. h[redacted]
[redacted]Also, could you please block my name from your system to prevent any future attempts in submitting either as a new account to create a family trees or adding me to other family tees and/or from adding personal records such as marital/divorce/birth/vital statistics, etc... I have requested the same from several other genealogy websites and they have honored those requests.Thank you.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my...

concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I would like to have all of my personal information removed from your website. My name is [redacted] and my date of birth is [redacted] and I live in [redacted].

I am rejecting this response because:  I already followed those instructions and received an email from the company stating "The link is broken".  However my listing is still showing.  This company appears to be run by robots and the replies are not human in order to control very sensitive highly private data.

That record has already been removed from the site, it may take a few weeks to be removed from [redacted] search results. If you want to expedite the process follow instructions below:

Review: I found out tonight, that this despicable website, publishes phone numbers of people who don't use their services. My cellular phone number, was found on this site. My [redacted] wireless number, that bill collectors and telemarketers can't use, is available on this website. I don't use their services, nor would I. I am a comedian, a public figure, that takes extra steps to ensure that my private information is not released, and this company has breached my privacy. Action will be taken.Desired Settlement: I want my number removed, as well as an apology from the company. If they do not provide this, I will retain an attorney and proceed with legal action. The fact that I have been stalked by 2 individuals that obtained my number from sources other than me, now makes me question more where this information came from. I think I have found it, and will ensure that restitution is made.

Review: FamilyTreenow.com has uploaded personal information about me that I have never authorized. I do no have any affiliation with FamilyTreenow.com nor have I ever sought them out for any kind of business. It is my understanding they are identity thieves and I want all of my information deleted from their website. They have listed me with my maiden name [redacted]. I was totally in shock when I googled my address and my name came up with information of all my previous addresses.Desired Settlement: I am requesting they delete all my personal information which was never authorized by me for their use.

Business

Response:

Please provide us with your full name and date of birth so we can remove your record.Thank you.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:Who is asking for this information? Familytreenow.com or Revdex.com Reason is, I have never subscribed toFamilytree.com or their website and I have never provided Familytreenow.com with any of my personal information and I should not have to provide it now. Use the information you already have of me and delete my name and all other information you have used without my permission.

Review: I was wondering why people trying to sell stuff at my door of my resident for the last couple years knowing my first and last name.I never answered to them as I was at work but my wife has told me about these random people. Well today I heard from a thing on [redacted] about personal information. Especially if you type your own name and city. So I did and I found this site stole my personal information and posting it in open public. This site.. WWW.familytreenow.com. I would like for them to take my personal information off that site. I would like to know what can be done about this!Desired Settlement: I would like to know what can be done

Business

Response:

We would be happy to remove your record, can you please verify your date of birth?

Review: My current, and previous addresses, phone numbers, and relatives are being published on this site. With just a few clicks, someone could access my personal history. I do not appreciate this being so easily accessed. It shouldn't be this easy for someone to get information about someone. This is a violation of privacy.Desired Settlement: I want ALL of my personal information, and anything, or anyone, listed on this site, removed immediately!

Business

Response:

Please provide your full name and date of birth so we can remove your records.Thank you.

Review: Familytreenow.com has posted street address information in addition to maternal maiden name providing information on me increasing potential for identity fraud. I requested removal of my personally identifying information and received no response or relief.Desired Settlement: Removal of past addresses from site. This nformation is unneccessary and only provides tool for potential identity fraud.

Response:

Thank you for contacting FamilyTreeNow.com.

Review: Familytreenow.com is a website ran by identity thieves who will sell your personal information to the public and other identity thieves. They are putting my safety in jeopardy by exposing my personal info to the public. I have filled out the contact form a number of times on their website [redacted]t within the last 6 months and provided all of the information requested including the link to the URL's where my marriage/divorce records are exposed publicly on their website and no one from familytreenow.com has even tried to respond to my requests nor remove my personal info. I am registered with my state attorney general as a victim of stalking and harassment, therefore my personal records are blocked. Even if familytreenow.com says they get their info from other public databases, it's a lie. The only way this website would have received any personal information about me would be through my ex husband and his sister who have been going to these websites to input my personal info. and also adding incorrect information. This should not be allowed by Familytreenow.com - I did my research on familytreenow.com and found out that the website is registered to [redacted] ( http://familytreenow.com.cutestat.com/ ) and also incorporated a business in California on August 30, 2004 called [redacted] The registered address for this internet related business is [redacted] also owns/registered [redacted] / [redacted] is mentioned several times ad also mentioned that the website is a fraud/scam.Desired Settlement: I would like for the owners/registered owner/ or whoever is in charge of this website to completely remove any and all personal records in my name once and for all. I don't want my personal information to be readily available to the public and identity thieves and I definitely do not want them to be selling it either. As stated before, I am a victim of stalking and harassment and registered with my state attorney general as so. If they refuse, they leave me no choice but to pursue legal action

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:My personal records are still posted publicly on familytreenow.com so the company is lying and doesn't surprise me one bit since they are in the business of identity theft and scams. They also allow stalkers to add anything they want about a person on their website as part of somones record even if it is incorrect. I did a thorough research for familytreenow.com and this website is registered to [redacted]. Datehookup is also registered to [redacted]. There are endless complaints concerning [redacted] and his scam websites. I have sent over 20 requests, filled out their opt out forms and provided links yet they continue to ignore every single request. I am a victim of stalking and harassment and registered with my state attorney general as so. My records were blocked in 2013. I found 6 records in their website listed in my name and the last 2 links have me listed with an incorrect name. I provided snap shots of those records and also provided the links to each listing. I want every record removed that is listed in my name immediately. If this company refuses to remove my info then I will file complaints with my state attorney general and the The IC3 which is a division of the FBI. I will also contact my attorney. [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: I found my current address listed while performing a [redacted] Search for myself under "[redacted]. This is copied and pasted from [redacted] I was shocked. I emailed FamilyTreeNow.com to opt-out. They emailed me the following: "Thank you for contacting FamilyTreeNow.com. In order to remove your record from our site please visit this link: [redacted] Thank you,Customer Support" When I followed those instructions to opt-out, the listing I see on [redacted] was not able to be located via the search engine on the site! So therefore my private information was listed for the public and I was not able to remove via their instructions. There is no number to call and I feel I have no other recourse. This site is highly dangerous in its operation, in my opinion. [redacted]Desired Settlement: I want my listing, that I see clearly during a [redacted] FamilyTreeNow[redacted] website, making this information available.

Review: I did a google search on my name about a month ago and found my old address and current address listed in the search with FamilyTreeNow.com!!! I have worked very hard to maintain my privacy for safety and security reasons and all of a sudden, seeing my address listed there without my express permission is a total breach of my privacy and it put me in danger and scared me to death. Recently, a man contacted me on [redacted] and wanted to date. I did a google search and found he had a criminal history of strangling a woman he was dating. And now because of Family Tree Now's illegal invasion of my privacy, he has access to my address in a search which also opens me up to identity theft and could endanger my life.

I requested they remove the URL which they did and I requested they remove the google link which they said they can not-has to go through google. Have you ever attempted to do anything through google? Very difficult. I asked them why should I have to go through the nightmare hassle of having to remove the URL through google when it shouldn't have been allowed to be posted in the first place! They sent me a link which was not helpful. I attempted numerous times to have google remove the link and was unable. Fearful for my safety, I asked an IT man to help me and he said he believes it will be removed from the google search in a day or two. Then I had the stress of having to change my ** account!

But the problem remains, where did Family Tree Now get my address and why was it posted which invaded my privacy. And if they've done this to me, imagine how many others they've done it to who are suffering as well. One man who filed a complaint against them said he had to pay money to have the information removed to protect himself from identity theft because of the personal information of his they posted. To my knowledge, I've never given them permission to do so. It also appears NUMEROUS complaints have been filed against them which is further evidence of their bad business practices.Desired Settlement: I would like to know where and how they obtained my personal address (past and present)and I want a guarantee they or any of their affiliated companies or subsidiaries will NEVER post any information on me again!!!!

Business

Response:

To answer your question, all the records on our site are public information and are obtained from various public databases, for example, government records. You can use the opt out process on the site if you wish to have your record removed[redacted]

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: I appears you obtained the information from my resume. My resume was uploaded years ago specifically for the purpose of obtaining employment. While it may appear to be a "public" record, the only intended purpose I posted it was to be contacted by a company seeking an employee. Your company, however they did this, took that information and posted it on your website which appears to be a geneology search and has NOTHING to do with helping me find a job. I never gave my permission for this. I gave my permission to job-seeking companies, not to your company, any subsidiaries or the like. The information came up in a google search on me, which invaded my privacy and allowed a possible stalker to have my address, which he would have not been able to obtain unless he went to the exact company where I posted it. Not likely. You made it easy for him to find me. That is a breach of my privacy and my safety. Saying it is was OK because it was public information is not going to suffice in this regard. The definition of invasion internet privacy is the intrusion onto the personal life of another, without just cause. You had absolutely no cause and no right to do this. How many others have you and will you do this to is my question.Respectfully, [redacted]

Response:

I did a google again this morning and it appears the information has been taken off the web. Thank you.[redacted]

Review: I Opted Out of this website; however, there is still an internet "mobile-friendly" post with my name and phone number. Using their online message, I have repeatedly asked them to remove this. They never responded to my request, nor have they removed this post. They do not post an email address or phone number on their website.Desired Settlement: I want this internet mobile-friendly post removed. I also want to ensure that this company does not post my personal information on the internet.

Business

Response:

Please provide your full name and date of birth in order to remove your record.Thank you

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: I am not sure why they need my birthdate. They have my address and phone number. I believe they can find my file with this information. [redacted]

Business

Response:

We will submit a request to [redacted] to remove this search result. Please allow a few days to process.

Consumer

Response:

This was a unnecessarily long opt out process, beginning with to Family Tree Now not responding to my 3 online messages (two included URLs to be removed). They do not post email, a phone number or a street address on their website, so my only recourse to remove personal information from the internet was through Revdex.com. Even so, FTN said I should opt out to remove my info (which I was trying to do!) and their final solution was to have [redacted] remove it!!! Very poor customer service and software, making me wonder if they are a legitimate genealogy research company. This whole process took five weeks.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: I have respectfully asked Family Tree Now to remove all information regarding my personal information from searchable public viewing such as name, month and year of birth to no complete avail. When my name is placed into search engines such as [redacted] near the bottom of the page a cache remains containing my personal information under the name of my mother-in-law. If you click on the entry from the list, the next screen states the information no longer exist, but this does not change the fact the the original entry remains available for public viewing containing my personal information. So as far as I'm concerned, the record and the information has not been completely removed. I consider complete removal to mean when anyone searches my name on the internet, no records from Family Tree Now populate or appear containing my name, month or year of birth.

My request is very simple - remove my personal information and any association with Family Tree Now from searchable viewing on the internet. It doesn't make any sense why this is so difficult especially because I have had success with removal of my information, posted without my permission from other organizations. listing my information without my permission. I am now requesting your assistance to resolve this matter once and for all for my benefit and protection as a consumer. In the age of identity theft they should not be allowed to randomly list consumers names, months and years of birth without permission, only offering and opt out after they have posted personal data for the world to see. It's not fair to consumers! Thank you.Desired Settlement: Complete removal of all internet links and caches containing my personal information with any association to Family Tree Now. When my name is searched I want no references to this company to populate that's what complete removal means.

To remove the hyperlink but still have my private information appear in the cache is not complete removal. Right now this is what appears when anyone searches my name on the internet using [redacted] and I want my information removed from all search engines:

[redacted].

You visited this page on 3/6/16.

Business

Response:

We are happy to remove your record, but can you please provide the link to the record you're referring to? Thank you

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:I provided as much information as possible regarding this matter. If they search my name under [redacted].com or a record from their company under the name of [redacted] appears with my personal information viable to the public. I want the file removed. The hyperlink says the information is no longer available, but it doesn't change the fact that portions of my personal information remain visible for public viewing. I want any and all association with my name and this company removed once and for all in association with this record. [redacted]I would also ask that my information be omitted from any future postings they or anyone else would create without my permission.

Business

Response:

That record has already been removed from the site, it may take a few weeks to be removed from [redacted] search results. If you want to expedite the process follow instructions below:
