Review: We were sold meat by a door-to-door salesman, and the quality of the meat was completely misrepresented.

We called the company for resolution and were told they would only replace the product.

We did not receive a receipt or a sales person's name.Desired Settlement: We are willing to return the unused merchandise and have a reasonable deduction for the amount consumed.

We contacted the main office and they referred us to the sales person. The sales person claimed to be out of phone contact for 10 days. When we finally were able to talk to him 11/16 he agreed to refund half the purchase price and replace the defective items. However, he has left the state and will not return until Dec. 2. This appears to be another delaying tactic.

We have not received a refund and the issue is unresolved.

Review: I had a man come to my door selling the meats.. same speech they give everyone.. he went through his pitch and I saw the price and said no, he kept lowering it, and eventually agreed to buy it. We bought a case of steaks and a case of chicken... we decided to cook the chicken that night "lemon pepper" to be exact.. the chicken was so dry and the lemon tasted like curry, PLASTIC curry... I had also made some of the tenders for my daughter who would not eat them because they were so spicy... she's 4! I called the 800 number on the back of the brochure and spoke to a nice girl who worked at the front and said there would be no problem and she would give my name and number to "[redacted]" and he would call on Monday.. I proceeded to call the sales rep the next day and he said he couldn't directly give me a refund but if I call the 800 number on Monday they would. OKAY, Monday morning I finally got ahold of "[redacted]" and he went through his speech on how to cook the meats, which is exactly how we did... then went on to tell me that since we already tried the chicken they wouldn't refund my money... I told him the to come get the steaks since it was still a brand new box non was eaten and he told me I still couldn't have a refund because I was ALL PART IF THE SAME ORDER!! are you kidding me!? I went on to ask if I could speak to someone else "NO YOU MAY NOT" I asked him to speak with his boss and he said " IM TALKING TO YOU, IM THE SUPERVISOR OF THIS COMPANY". I have NEVER had a man speak to me the way he did. absolutely the worst customer service I have ever had, and believe me I have had some bad experiences. After doing my research on this company online I wish I would have sent [redacted] away to begin with!Desired Settlement: I would like my money back for this horrible product, at least everything but our "3" chicken breast, and 8 tenders!! and an apology for a man speaking to a woman they way he did! UNACCEPTABLE!!

[When I spoke with [redacted] he was extremely rude, it takes a lot for me to yell, and he got me to that point. My husband also called and said that he couldn't even speak to him because he went in circles with him. The brochure states NO REFUND except no one points that out to you when you buy- I have a witness, that states that was not discussed. AND the physical receipt DOES NOT STATE that. Also, when I called [redacted] on sat morning he said that I would need to call your office for a refund... He said nothing about NO REFUNDS!! That's TWO missed opportunities to say so. Your sales people state that this is a company run by word of mouth, your customer service is the worst I have ever seen!]

Review: On 06/11/13 a Farm Fresh Foods salesman came to my door selling meat packs. I said "No Thank you" several times, but each rejection was met with sales pitches. Finally, I was told this is a $379 value, but today I'm going to lower the price for you to $179 because it's hot and I'm in a hurry to go home." & "If you try it and don't like the meat, you can call the company to return it. They'll take care of you." I thought for $179 how bad could it be? Besides, the meat was guaranteed. While showing the brochure the salesman never pointed out, and in fact, kept from my view, the "No Refund" statement. The next day, following the cooking instructions, I barbequed I 2 T-Bone & 2 New York steaks form the meat pack. Everything about the meat, the flavor, texture, color, & little hard chunks of white stuff that I'm still unable to identify, was HORRIBL! Also, everyone that ate the meat was SICK that night into the next day. Days later my son cooked and ate one more of the steaks with the same result. I called the company the day after the barbeque & spoke with [redacted] possibly the MOST UNPROFESSIONAL BEING IN EXSISTANCE! He was Rude, sarcastic, and belligerent. I did register my purchase on-line and wrote a cancellation of purchase letter as per the requirements printed on the receipt. However, it does not list an address to send it to. So, I Emailed it to a Face Book address that I found on a Farm Fresh Foods website, within the 3 day period & before midnight. I have yet to hear from them. I can not afford neither the expense nor the time and energy. to waste on their totally unacceptable product and sales practices. Because of the poor quality of meat which made me and my family sick an exchange of product is OUT OF THE QUESTION! I PURCHASED THE MEAT PACK WITH CASH AND AM WILLING TO ACCEPT ONLY CASH AS A REPAYMENT METHOD SINCE THE TREATMENT WHICH I RECEIVED HAS LEAD ME TO BELIEVE THIS IS A LESS THAN SCRUPULOUS VENDOR ENGAGING IN UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES. The refund amount I am requesting is $164.00 for the unused portion of the meat pack, which is still frozen & they can come collect at the same time they pay me for it. More important a listing of the restaurants that this company claims to distribute to, so that I can avoid eating their awful meat ever again.

Dear Farm Fresh Foods,

As I stated in my complaint, due to the fact that your "meat" products made me and my family sick, it would not be in our best interest to accept an exchange of products. As per your requirements, I have registered my purchase, and submitted a cancelation of purchase within the three day period and before midnight. I have patiently attempted to appeal to your ethical and honorable business sense. I keep getting the same response form you which is "you do NOT give refunds" perhaps I've used an incorrect word. I am asking for the RETURN of my money in the in the amount of $164.00. That's $179.00 minus $15.00 for the steaks we cooked, the same price breakdown your salesman used in his sales pitch. In addition to "not giving refunds" let me tell you what else YOU DID NOT DO:

1. Your salesman did NOT display any identification, or sales permits, failed to inform me of my right to cancel my purchase, and covered the bottom of receipt where the terms and conditions are printed with the brochure.

2. Your statement of right to cancel sale is to be near where the receipt is signed. You choose to display this on the back of the receipt out of view as well, but printed at the bottom on the back about where the signature line is on the front of the receipt.

3. Your address is Not printed on the receipt. While your placement of your statement of Right to Cancel sale may be clever it does Not list an address to send it to.

4. I was Not given a Notice of Cancelation form in triplicate or otherwise. Since your receipt does Not meet the requirements and I was NOT given the proper form my time in which to cancel the purchase is extended.

I believe these are all violations of the Civil Codes 1689.7 & 1689.10 & 1689.11 feel free to look them up; although I suspect you already have. Why else would you make it so difficult for a customer to cancel the purchase of a product that you claim to guarantee? Now I am going to tell you WHAT I AM GOING TO DO:

A) In case you did not receive my original statement THIS IS A NOTICE OF CANCELATION OF SALE date of sale 06/11/13 Receipt # 48143 salesman: Rigo . You have 20 days form todays date 07/26/13 to pick up the remainder of your product that date being 08/15/13. After the 20 days are up and you have not picked up your product I will dispose of it as I see fit.

B) I will wait no longer than 10 days for the RETURN of my money in the amount of $164.00. I paid cash and expect remittance in kind.

C) If I ever see or am approached by one of your salespeople anywhere in the United States I WILL contact any and all law enforcement agencies and urge them to investigate the validity of the sales person's credentials. And I strongly urge any who read this to do likewise

Please do NOT see these as threats. They are, if you will, a GUARNTEE.

Review: An unidentified sales person came to my door (without a business permit) and was aggressive/verbally rude with my wife when she refused to allow him into the home to show her their selection of meats. My wife was alone with our 9 month old baby, and the sales person scared her so much by his aggressive tactics and refusal to leave the property that she was forced to go retrieve our gun after abruptly closing the door on him. After the sales person left, another sales person from the same company came to the door minutes later. This time, my wife did not answer the door, and was afraid they would attempt to force entry into the home. My wife feared (based on how unprofessional they were) that Farm Fresh Foods was not a real company, and the sales of meats was a ruse to enter the home and attack/rob her. It was not until later that she looked the company up online and found that they are in fact a real company, but they have atrocious reviews with other people having similar experiences with their company.

I have attempted to contact the company multiple times on the telephone number listed on their webpage (farmfreshfoodsin.com) in order to make a complaint. I was told "I don't have time for that right now" by an employee who refused to identify himself. I was given the same response when asked for a business license number in the City of Rancho Cucamonga.

Review: A driver named [redacted] came by our house on 11-Jan-2014 and said they had extra steaks to sell at cost. Our neighbor that they were delivering to was not home. He said they supply meat to Red Lobster. I bought the 48 steak Gourmet Hand Trimmed Steak pack listed in the brochure for $379. I paid $130.

My wife and I each ate a steak the night of 12-Jan. These steaks are tiny and of poor quality. Even at $130 I got ripped off. I did some research online and found this company is a scam company.

I registered my product on their website to ensure the guarantee. The receipt says I can cancel my order within 3 days if I notify the company in writing. I called the company on 13-Jan to get the address and spoke to Blake. He says that because we opened the steaks, we can no longer cancel the order. I am sending the notification anyway and recording the proceedings with the Revdex.com. The receipt does not say I cannot cancel the order after I sample it.

The salesman misrepresented the quality of the meat. It is grisly and tastes bad. I doubt they deliver to Red Lobster which means he probably lied as well.Desired Settlement: I want to return the unused product, and I want a refund of my $130.

Review: On 7/23/2014 a sales representatives came to our door with a young boy (claiming this was his son). He said he had meat left over from a lady down the street who had purchased the meat for a wedding that was cancelled. This lady was so distraught that he felt bad for her so he was going door to door selling her meat. He stated that this was some of the best, organic, high quality meat. We decided to purchase the product as we felt pressured because the sales rep stated we were getting the meat at the lowest price & he offered to take an additional $40 dollars off, a bonus his son made at a sale prior to us. $289.00 is what we spent. We cooked the rib eye with the lobster tails & it was the most disgusting meat we ever had. There was also a $10.00 processing fee we were not told about upon purchase & we were also not informed of any refund policies. Days later we saw In small print on the receipt it says that we are signing agreeing to what the brochure states, a brochure we never got.

We felt as if we have been scammed so we called the company to complain on 7/28 we called and were told that our complaint would be given to the customer service department who had gone home for the day. On 7/31/14 We talked to a manager in Fresno, Ca. who was extremely rude and interrupted me the entire conversation. We informed him we wanted a refund because we were not happy with the product and the meat was horrible. He told us that we cannot have a refund but would bring us more meat. He told us that the meat looked bad and changed color because we let it thaw out first and we were supposed to cook them frozen, which is ridiculous. We told him we do not want more meat but he kept pushing us to get more meat saying we can't have a refund because it says so on the brochure (that we never got) and continued to be very defensive and condescending. He insisted on sending me pictures of more products. Tired of being talked to that way I ended the call.Desired Settlement: We want our money back because this product is not what they claimed it was. The sales person lied stating ON OUR RECEIPT that we had gotten the seafood for free and meat for 279.00 and that we could look online to see what a great deal we were getting but when we looked up the product online there was no prices listed. This sales person also lied stating that a woman had a cancelled wedding so he took the meat back and was selling it. This gave misrepresentation of being able to obtain a refund or easily return the meat. Of course we know now he was lying making the whole story up to get our money because according to the manager refunds cannot happen. This is unethical to make up stories that are untrue to obtain a sale for a product that is not what they claim it is.

Review: We were sold 2 boxes of meat from Farm Fresh Foods. The delivery man said they were at the end of their run and were looking to make a deal on 2 boxes of steaks. We were happy with the deal, however it was our understanding that the product was guaranteed for a year and that if we weren't satisfied with it, we could return it. for a refund. When we cooked some of the meat, we were very disappointed. The meat was slimy and had a foul odor. It was also fatty and gristly. When we thawed it in the fridge, the package bled through the wrap, which made us think that it might not have been sealed well. We cooked up a couple of steaks and could barely eat the meat. It had a really sour and funky taste and every bite had a chunk of fat in it. We both felt really nauseous afterwards and had stomach aches. My wife refuses to eat any more of it.

I called the service in Portland and the number was disconnected, so I called the main office in California. At first I talked with a woman who took the nature of my call and passed me to a man named [redacted]. Although not rude, [redacted] told me that there were "No Refunds" on any of the product, but they could replace the meat. I told him that we were very unhappy with the quality and couldn't get past how bad the meat was to consider giving it another try. He repeated that they wouldn't issue any refunds, only exchanges. I told him that when I looked up their number I read many of the complaints on the Revdex.com website and saw that they had issued refunds to other customers and felt that our situation was very similar to the people they issued the monetary refunds to. He told me that if I didn't want to exchange the food, that he would talk with me through the Revdex.com site.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for this product less the value of the consumed meat. The meat has been in our freezer since it was purchased and was prepared appropriately. It did not meet our standards and actually caused us to feel ill.

We feel that the product was so different and awful from what we were told and shown it was, that we are not interested in getting a replacement. The product made us physically ill and we will never be able to reconcile the association of this company's product with the nausea that we experienced. Furthermore the Sales Reps were very deceptive in their approach and made it seem like we should have no problem in refunding the product if we were not satisfied. I am still confused as to why other's who have complained about this have gotten refunds, however I am not being given the same treatment or consideration.

Review: On Friday, May 23, 2014, Sean Foster, a representative of Farm Fresh Foods, drove into my driveway in Jamul offering us a "deal" on steak packs that he was selling. I had, in the past had very good luck with another different company selling similar items, so amid his high pressure sales tactics, decided to purchase the meat that he was offering to sell us. Two cases of steak packs (mixed) for $300.00. They appeared to look very appetizing, and both on the back of the receipt and on their website, it is stated by the company, Farm Fresh Foods, that if you file a claim in writing within three days for being unsatisified with their product, they would refund your money. After that time period it states, you are only eligible for an "exchange" of their product.

We transported these steaks, (still frozen) to our vacation home on the Colorado River for Memorial Day weekend, and proceeded to cook them for about eight people the following evening. It was without a doubt, the worst steak that we have ever eaten!

You could not even chew it, they were so loaded with fat and gristle. We cooked the Rib eyes, Kansas City Strips, and the Fillet Mignon, and they were all the same. Their appearance upon coming off the grill, (my husband cooked them, and he is almost a gourmet quality chef), were medium rare, but we could not even bite into them, they were so terrible. We actually fed them to our dog.

Upon arriving back in Jamul, I promptly contacted the company Tuesday morning, May 27, 2014, and spoke to a representative, [redacted]., (he refused to give me his last name), who told me that he was the manager. I explained the situation, and what I found on my receipt and their website, and that I wanted my money back. ( I had stupidly paid them in cash). He refused, and offered me a "swap" of new product. I told him that I didn't want that, I wanted to know how to let them know in writing, as stated on the website, so that I could get my money back. He again refused, told me that he didn't know, and why not just take the "swap?" I explained that his meat was so filled with gristle that we fed it to our dog, and that it was without a doubt the worst steak any of us had ever eaten, and after trying three of their six types of steaks, I didn't see how letting them replace was going to make it any better. I also explained that on the receipt and website it states, "Customer must register their product online for warranty to be valid. Otherwise any claims will not be honored", and on the back of the receipt provided it states, 'You, the buyer, may cancel this purchase at any time prior to midnight of the third business day after the date of this purchase. Notice must be given in writing to Farm Fresh Foods within the three business day timeline for cancelation to be valid. After the third business day, the regular product replacement guarantee will be in effect." He still refused, and also refused to give me any information as to where to mail a letter, stating, "Well, I guess you can find that on the internet". He was so smug and condescending, it became very obvious that he knew they were running a scam, and I actually think he was proud of it. After about 15 minutes of arguing, I eventually gave up, and hung up.

This business has no ethics, and does not care about the customers, or about the seriously deficient product that they are peddling. It is my sincere hope that no one ever buys from them again, and that in letting the Revdex.com know that I may save some other poor sucker from being out the same $300.00 that my family is. Businesses should be accountable for what they put in writing on a receipt. If you are unethical, you should have to pay the price.Desired Settlement: I would hope to have them honor the refund as stated, but I do not harbor high hopes for a customer service manager who will not even provide his last name and lies about the guarantee.
