Fast Fix Jewelry Repair Reviews (22)

So that we may resolve this issue, please ask the customer to...

take her Fast Fix watch to [redacted] Jewelry and Watch Repairs at 4525 La Jolla Village Drive #D40, San Diego CA 92122. Please leave the watch with our manager, [redacted], for inspection and repair of the problem,
Regards,
[redacted], [redacted] CEO

In tightening the bracelet clasp to my [redacted] watch they removed the inner workings of my watch, thus breaking it and refused to repair it for free.On July 16, 2015 I took my [redacted] watch in to Fast Fix to merely have the watch band clasp tightened as it would intermittently open. They informed me that they would tighten the clasp and clean the band for me about $39.99 plus tax. They informed me that it would be ready in 15 minutes. When I returned it was ready, the clasp was tightened, it looked good and I was on my way. I didn't attempt to wear it until the next day and the time had not changed from the previous day. I called Fast Fix and asked them what they did. The young lady who answered told me that they had tightened the clasp and also taken the watch apart to clean the face and the band. I told them that my watch was no longer working and to my knowledge they were not an authorized [redacted] repair dealer. I complained that they should not have taken my watch apart without my knowledge. She told me to bring it back and they would see what was wrong. I took it back in on 7/18/15 and the watch technician told me that it was the battery. I questioned that because the battery had been replaced a few months ago by [redacted], a very reputable jeweler, who had actually sent my watch out to a certified [redacted] watch tech for the battery installation. But the Fast Fix technician assured me that it was the battery and replaced it. I left with the watch and before the evening was over it stopped working again. I took it back again on 7/20/15. The technician informed me that they would run multiple machine test on it to find the problem at zero cost and they would need to keep it for several days to observe it. I was called on 7/25/15 and told that they had found the problem and corrected it. According to the technician a loose connector that was not making contact inside the case had been found and tightened and after making the adjustment the watch had been observed to run successfully for several days. I picked it up on 7/27/15. My watch ran successfully until August 10th. I was not able to take it back in to Fast Fix until 8/17/15 due to travel. The owner, [redacted], was present this time and informed me that, although they hadn't advised me, and therefore I had not consented for them to take my watch apart, they had not done anything wrong and that they would only repair or have my watch repaired for a cost. His explanation for the watch stopping was that it was old. He advised me to take my watch to a certified [redacted] watch repair business and get proof that Fast Fix's dis-assembly of my watch caused the problem. I fully intend to take his advice and look into it. In the meantime I'm lodging this complaint because not repairing the watch that they broke is poor customer service and bad business practice. I want my watch repaired with Fast Fix paying the cots. Tightening my clasp should not have necessitated cleaning my entire watch which the owner asserts that the inner workings had to be removed to do so. Now my watch does not work at all and they refuse to accept responsibility for that and repair or have it repaired. Desired SettlementI'm seeking repair of my [redacted] watch by Fast Fix or [redacted] with Fast Fix paying the costs of repair. I want my [redacted] watch restored to the original, fully functional, reliable working state that it was in before Fast Fix broke it. Final Consumer Response Mr. [redacted]Please expound on what is being requested of me here. Are you asking me if I agree to Fast Fix responding to my complaint after the time for them to respond has expired? Why is Fast Fix asking to respond now after multiple requests from the Revdex.com? The only response that I want from them is that they will reimburse me the $285 that I had to pay to [redacted] for the repair of my [redacted] watch that they broke by taking it apart without my authorization. Please call me as I want to more clearly understand the implications of this notification from the Revdex.com. I can be reached at XXX-XXX-XXXX. Thank you.[redacted]XXX-XXX-XXXX
