After reading Fast Forward Services last two messages in relation to this complaint, we are totally gobsmacked on how a services company could act so badly towards a paying customer We sent FFS a very specific piture of a fence which was in a metal frame that they agreed to build specificallyWe have this agreement by email and text message from their salesman [redacted] They did not deliver this fence at allOnce they built the fabricated fence and bolted the frame into our stone flooring, they started to wrap the cedar around the frameIt was at this point that we realized they were building a totally different fenceAfter negotiation we agreed on their design changes as long as no nails or nail holes were visibleWe have this email and video footage from [redacted] and my wife [redacted] agreeing to this For Fast Forward Services to state that I was aggressive to their employees is slander on meI would like FFS to provide any proof of evidence that I was ever aggressive to any of their employees FFS were never stopped from entering our house nor did we keep them waiting for 30-minutesAgain, We would like FFS to provide any evidence of thisWhat we did agree to was after the contract prolonged way past its expiry date that they would have to continue working on the project after 1pm due to our childrens commitment to AM childcare and drs appointments etc in which they agreed to in writingHowever, what WE can provide is numerous texts, videos and messages from their owner and employee [redacted] and [redacted] asking their staff to walk off our project and constantly delaying our project at their owners Roberts will as they had bigger more lucrative projects to complete The fence was coating in a Berh waterproof stainThe only part of the fence that is faulty is the gate, which tells me that bad workmanship/ faulty products is a problem which is covered in our contract It is clear to us that this company is trying everything to get out of its committment to fix their problem, even steeping so low to attack me personallyIt says a lot about the company

[redacted] we can not warranty the wood against a natural reactionWhen it dries out if the wood does not contract we can take a look againWe have provided links with the information that states that wood naturally expands and contractIf you would allow the time for the wood to do what it naturally does you will see that it will contractIf it does not dry out we can revisit it then

That is agreed on the terms of the contract but there is not a warranty claim in the world that covers acts of Nature

1) [redacted] as previously stated we built the fence as describe in full detail in the email between [redacted] and IOur contract was for a wooden fence with a wooden frame, we changed that to a full metal frame, at no additional costYou gave us pictures via email, [redacted] responded and said that the fence would have sideways picketsWe came to what was a reasonable compromise of the work described in detail in our invoice which is referenced in our contract and one of the three pintrest pictures you sent us [redacted] I have gone to great lengths to explain to you how wood expands and contracts, this is a natural occurrence not a workmanship issueWhen wood absorbs moisture it expand, the pickets on your fence were countersunk drilled, had self tapping screws installed and wood filler appliedWhen the wood absorbed the moisture it expanded and pushed the wood filler outAs previously stated I believe that when the wood dries out it will contract and the wood filler will return to the countersunk holesThis again is an act of nature and I beg you to please read the links we sent in our pervious emails2) Hurricane Harvey was never an excuse, it was a reason that we could not work on your home patio or fenceWe did however in that time work on your Harvey damagesI can not change the choice I made as a business owner but as I explained to both you and [redacted] when I first meet you, we put all non essential projects on hold to help people dry out there homes and start to rebuildI told you that day that we would get back to our non essential repairs in the beginning of October and we didI would make the same decision if it happened againI compensated you $and cleaned you home as a concession for that delay3) [redacted] has not froze our accountWe could argue all day about this but it has no impact on us resolving the issue between us4) [redacted] again there is no way for us to stop the wood from expanded as it is an act of nature, I really wish I could so I could put this behind usThe gate wood must have absorbed more moisture than the other piecesIf you would like I can again copy a link from the internet that explains the traits of wood, if that would be of any benefit please let me knowWe are in the damp season and I think that as we start to dry out in a few months that the wood will contract, and the wood filler will go back into placeWe want a reasonable resolution and believe we have provided a rational explanation as to why the wood expanded, and why we can not warranty against acts of nature, I do not know anyone who can Thank you, [redacted]

Please find attached warranty and contract provided upon agreement with the business.
Regards,

*** we addressed you warranty claim via email immediatelyAs stated over and over there is not a warranty claim due to the wood expanded as this is an act of natureAs previously stated multiple times we can not warranty against acts of natureYou have made many many statements but please do not start again with saying we have not addressed the issueDo you still not u dersta d that the wood expanded and pushed the wood filler out of the countersunk screw holes? We have sent you links from the internet for your education on the subject, in hopes that you would be a reasonable person and read them and understand the FACT that the wood expanded and has absolutely nothing to do with workmanship or material defect

Regards,
Wow, be a professional and fix our fence under the warranty we have legally bindeed you too

Plesee find attached I will aos email it

*** there is not a material or workmamship claimAs explained over and over and over againThe cedar, which is a type of wood, expanded as a natural reactionTo the moisture in the air, which pushed the filler outThis is not a warranty claimPer for email the fence looked great bit needed a stop, we installed the stopThen the weather changed causing the wood to expand, we have provided you with plenty of links where you can read about this natural processWe have explained this to you time and time again

HelloPlease see our attached contract with FFSPlease note section Also please see attached email from the business saying they will come out to access the problem within business daysThey have not been out at all, therefore have no recourse to say what they think the problem may or may not beThank you

*** the details of the fence we were going to build was agreed to via email by your wife ***, we have provided that information in an attachment provided to you numerous timesThe fence has been built and completed, you paid for it and now say you do not want it because the wood expandedI have also sent an attachment where your wife emailed me agreeing that you would not communicate with our guys this was a direct result of the conversation *** and I had at your home*** just because the stain is water proof doesn't mean the wood does not react to moisture and weather changesAt this point arguing back and fourth is not going to solve anythingWe have provided detailed documentation to you and sent a very detailed explanationYour original complaint was for the wood filler that you can see on the gateWe gave you an honest answer with links from websites that detail the expansion and contraction of the fence due to the natural reaction of woodI have asked you to wait until we get out of the damp season in order for the wood to shrink upThe "nails" you keep referring to are actually self taping screws as described in the email between *** and myself, they did not back upThe wood filler has pushed out slightly due to the absorption of moisture as we are in the damp season, which caused the wood to expand and push out the wood filler slightlyThis is an ACT OF NATURE and has nothing to do with our workmanshipWe have an email from yall regarding the only problem with the fence is the locking mechanism not being easy to lock, which we remedied for youYou were also happy with the upstairs via email

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint Fast Forward Services agreed to deliver a particular fenceUnfortunately we stopped them working mid-construction because it was clear that they were not building the fence that they promised to deliver They just decided to do their own thingUpon meeting with their owner *** *** we came to a compromise and that the design of the fence would have no evidence of any nails showing through the cedar slats at allHowerver after a week the nail holes (on the front gate only, not the rest of the fence) started to show up which clearly shows there are workmanship issues(We have written and video evidence of this comunication)They used Hurricanr Harvey as an excuseTime and time again they pulled their people from our home to work on other jobs that they deemed more important, leaving us in upheaval and dissarayAgain we have written and video evidence of this. Home Advisor have stopped their account ecause they have not responded to them either. To resolve this issue is very simpleCome and fix the fence as a professtional company would do or refund us our full amount and remove the fence.

1) [redacted] as previously stated we built the fence as describe in full detail in the email between [redacted] and I. Our contract was for a wooden fence with a wooden frame, we changed that to a full metal frame, at no additional cost. You gave us 3 pictures via email, ** responded and said that the fence would have sideways pickets. We came to what was a reasonable compromise of the work described in detail in our invoice which is referenced in our contract and one of the three pintrest pictures you sent us. [redacted] I have gone to great lengths to explain to you how wood expands and contracts, this is a natural occurrence not a workmanship issue. When wood absorbs moisture it expand, the pickets on your fence were countersunk drilled, had self tapping screws installed and wood filler applied. When the wood absorbed the moisture it expanded and pushed the wood filler out. As previously stated I believe that when the wood dries out it will contract and the wood filler will return to the countersunk holes. This again is an act of nature and I beg you to please read the links we sent in our pervious emails. 2) Hurricane Harvey was never an excuse, it was a reason that we could not work on your home patio or fence. We did however in that time work on your Harvey damages. I can not change the choice I made as a business owner but as I explained to both you and [redacted] when I first meet you, we put all non essential projects on hold to help people dry out there homes and start to rebuild. I told you that day that we would get back to our non essential repairs in the beginning of October and we did. I would make the same decision  if it happened again. I compensated you $250.00 and cleaned you home as a concession for that delay. 3) [redacted] has not froze our account. We could argue all day about this but it has no impact on us resolving the issue between us. 4) [redacted] again there is no way for us to stop the wood from expanded as it is an act of nature, I really wish I could so I could put this behind us. The gate wood must have absorbed more moisture than the other pieces. If you would like I can again copy a link from the internet that explains the traits of wood, if that would be of any benefit please let me know. We are in the damp season and I think that as we start to dry out in a few months that the wood will contract, and the wood filler will go back into place. We want a reasonable resolution and believe we have provided a rational explanation as to why the wood expanded, and why we can not warranty against acts of nature, I do not know anyone who can.  Thank you,[redacted]

We are aware of this process. It does not change that the wood expanded which is a natural reaction

[redacted] we can not warranty the wood against a natural reaction. When it dries out if the wood does not contract we can take a look again. We have provided links with the information that states that wood naturally expands and contract. If you would allow the time for the wood to do what it naturally does you will see that it will contract. If it does not dry out we can revisit it then.
