FBCS, Inc Reviews (31)

My one account was through a hospital and they failed to submit it to Medicaid and/or Medicare. Now, five years later they want me to make arrangements? The hospital missed the cash boat and being lazy turned it over to these guys who immediately put a negative mark on my credit report. Frankly, I do not care about that as I have amassed several negative marks all because the accounts were never filed with Medicaid or Medicare. To me, it is like refusing a payment and even though my credit is ruined, I feel that the lack of effort by the original charge or the failure of the investigation by FBCS as to the extent their client tried to remedy the debt I consider a null. Next time both client and collector should do a much more thorough job of making sure all avenues have been explored before putting negative comments on my credit. I have to just add that I never answer a number that is not on my contact list or known to me. Years ago I was injured and off work for several months. I contacted everyone I could think of that I may have had an account with. Not having the calling ID available today I was constantly getting calls from collection agencies. They twist and turn reality and laws and get you feeling horrible about yourself even when you are in the right. I was a drummer in a band that played mostly out of state. The bank tore off the monthly and final payment out of my pay book. I thought I was finished. But for a $1200 loan they came to repossess my drums for not making a $61.00 payment even though I had no payment slips left. Fortunately, my wife answered the door to the very rude and very green collection agent. She told him if he wanted the drumset it was in another state and after calming down this rookie paid him the final payment he said I owed. All collectors get a commission on their recoveries so it is easy for them to lie or misrepresent any facts that favor them. I apologize for going on but actually these vermin did me a favor. By ruining my credit I no longer can get credit and only pay by cash when I can afford something. Thank you.

I made a recording as well. When a debt collector tells you that a call may be recorded, they are giving blanket permission for a call to be recorded. It MAY be recorded is how you may construe the words. I informed the debt collector she was engaging in an act that may be considered illegal and may go against the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act by attempting to collect a debt labeled fraudulent. It was declared fraudulent years ago. Her response? We can send you the fraud packet. I can mark it as fraud. But it will just go back to Complete Credit Solutions and you will be back at Square 1. You will need to settle this debt. I can offer you the settlement. (Once she was informed that the debt was fraudulent and had been noted as fraudulent by the originating debtor she had no legal right to continue to try to collect. She repeatedly offered to 'settle' the debt for the amount listed on the letter the company sent me. I gave her all specifics and offered to send in all paperwork. Her response was that she could mark it as fraud and send it back to Complete Credit Solutions, but it would just get sent to 'another department'. Not, another agency. Another department. That my best option was to settle a debt that was never mine and has been declared fraudulent by the merchant, by the originating creditor--which is the bank who financed that merchant's credit accounts, and a debt collection agency who also received all filings to prove this debt was fraudulent.
The companies purchase debt under caveat emptor laws. It is the company's duty to due diligence PRIOR to attempting collection or placing a report on a person's credit history. When I informed the rep that Complete Credit Solution had placed a collections on my credit I was told that was not true, they would not have done so. But they did, and I have the dispute to prove that they did. So FBCS rep lied yet again there. The rep THEN stated that the collections placed on my account was NOT from Complete Credit Solutions, but FBCS. Then why am I disputing, via Transunion, an invalid, unenforceable debt placed upon my credit history BY Complete Credit Solutions? And are the two entities the same? When I vehemently denied the debt and explained it had been declared fraudulent, the FBCS rep stated they could not have come into possession of said debt had it not been valid. Again, debt can be purchased and sold regardless of validity. caveat Emptor applies. I relayed to the FBCs rep that Complete Credit Solutions had been sent a request for validation. Not validation of ownership of said debt, not validation of my mailing address, not validation of the original creditor's company name. Validation of competent evidence that a debt declared fraudulent had been proven to be enforceable and valid, and collectable. I made the request, in writing, to Complete Credit Solutions on 11/12/2018. I received no reply but they DID validate their ownership of debt, the name of the original creditor, and my mailing address via the Transunion dispute. HOWEVER, that does not negate their responsibility to furnish me with the requested documentation and the competent evidence I LAWFULLY requested from them, pursuant
, which I had the right to demand pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 USC 1692g Sec. 809 (b). I will not be paying FBCs a single penny. Nor will I pay Complete Credit Solutions a single penny on a debt I do not owe, and which is fraudulent. As Complete Credit Solutions failed to provide competent evidence in the time frame I lawfully gave them on 11/12/2018, they have every obligation to remove the debt from my credit history. As the debt is fraudulent, FBCs has no right to collect, and any and all further communication and attempt to collect as well as any and all collections leveled onto my credit report from FBCS will be considered harassment. I am sending a letter to the company tomorrow, stating such. I am also seeking legal counsel against FBCS as well as Complete Credit Solutions.

Review: I’m being advised by my legal representative to ask the Revdex.com to help mediate this dispute “first” before we proceed with legal action.

I dispute account number ([redacted]XXXX). This is not my account and I have no legal contractual relationship with FBCS. Also, FBCS is falsely reporting this alleged account on my credit report to the three major credit bureaus which is in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. An investigation was conducted on this alleged account and there are many other violations associated with this alleged account including but not limited to “fraud”. It would be advisable that FBCS assure that their records are in order before litigation procedures begin. I, ([redacted]), hereby authorize the Revdex.com to receive any and all information regarding my complaint. This authorization releases the Revdex.com from any liability pursuant to federal and state law, as related to the disclosure of any information and/or communications to the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: Delete the account, cease and desist reporting it to the credit bureaus, provide me written confirmation of the deletion, and I will consider this matter resolved.

Regards,

Review: A representative of FBCS called me about 4 to 6 days ago in regards to a debt I have. I have acknowledged this debt and I have spoken with representatives of FBCS before. I communicated to the reps I do not have a job right now, but I will pay the debt when I am employed. For some reason the rep that contacted me by phone 4 to 6 days ago was not very pleasant. I don't deserve that type of treatment. I would like for the reps of FBCS to be more respectful when they call or not to call at all. I first attempted to contact FBCS today to complain directly to them, but the St. Louis phone that shows up on my caller ID does not work.Desired Settlement: Please be more respectful when contacting me or don't call at all. There isn't a need for snide remarks or disrespectful remarks.

Review: While pulling my credit I noticed an inquiry placed on april 21, 2014 by this company. I have had past dealings with them on 2 occasions on a disputed [redacted] debt from 2006-2007. I have already disputed this debt with FBCS and send in a cease and desist via postal mail and fax(of which I have proof) yet this company just continues like the FDCPA and FCCPA do not matter. I called this company and during a legally recorded phone conversation mentioned both the dispute and cease and desist yet the collector continued to both berate me and attempt to collect in clear violation of the FDCPA and FCCPA.Desired Settlement: I will make this easy on your company. You will close the account, not put it on my credit report(which is illegal anyway as it is almost 8 years old), not pull any more inquiries, and cease all contact with me. You will also not come into the Revdex.com and lie about the entire situation as I have plenty of proof. If you do this I will consider the matter closed with no further action. If you do not do this I will take my 12 years of volunteer consumer advocacy work with a specialty in the fdcpa, fccpa, and fcra and immediately file suit against both FBCS and the collector involved. It is your choice really but an apology would certainly be in order.

Review: FBCS has been incorrectly calling my cell phone each week for the past 2 months. They are trying to collect debt from someone I do not know. I have told their agents on THREE occasions that they have the WRONG number and that they need to put my number on their DO NOT CALL list. Each time I speak to their agent, they assure me that they will remove my number and I will not receive additional calls. However, I continue to get WEEKLY calls. I am tired of having my cell phone minutes and my time WASTED by calls from FBCS.Desired Settlement: They need to stop contacting me. I also wish the company that hired them to collect the debt could know how poorly their agency is doing. In fact, next time they call, I am going to ask which company they are collecting the debt on behalf of and I will also issue a complaint with them.

Review: This collection agency keep contacting me and reporting to the credit bureaus debts that I paid in full.

I called them several times and explained that the debts have been paid and provided them with the account numbers. Below are the receipts of the payment.

After I call, they said that they will make note of the payment and will remove it from my record but after few weeks, they post the same thing or call me for the same issue asking for my check # or credit card information.

So I do need this to stop as it shows clearly that the debts have been paid and that they remove what have been posted in the credit report before further actions are taken.

Review: This company showed up on my credit report on 9/25/13. I have never received correspondence from them regarding a debt. I called them to resolve the issue and they could not pull up my account using my social security number. They finally used my name and pulled up an account from 2007. This bill was for [redacted] Physician Associates. I asked for the person being treated on this date of service and they did not know. They told me I should pay the entire amount if I wanted the delinquency removed. Fearing that this was on my report in error, I contacted [redacted] for additional information. The billing assistant I spoke to confirmed that as far back as 2004, I had paid all billings for services rendered and had nothing sent to collections. The billing clerk at [redacted] is sending me a statement showing all of my accounts with their company and the payment status of each as proof. I called the credit bureau who called FBCS and spoke to **. [redacted] while I was on the line. He said FBCS did not own an account with my social security so he couldn't tell the credit agency to remove it from my credit.Desired Settlement: Remove this immediately from my credit report.

Review: I was contacted by FBCS in January 2014 and made arrangements to pay off a student loan that had been turned over to them for collections. I agreed for $296.50 to be debited from my account on the 7th of each month through June 2014. On May 5th as I was getting ready to make a deposit, knowing this amount was getting ready to be debited, I noticed that they had already debited this amount causing me to be overdrawn. I immediately contacted them and spoke with a manager ([redacted]) and asked that they do a reversal and put this money back into my account as it was taken out too early and now I'm overdrawn. [redacted] informed me that this reversal would be done on 5/7 and the length of time it would take for it to show would depend on my bank. On 5/8 when the reversal still wasn't showing I called [redacted] back and was told she can't do anything else as the reversal has been done and she doesn't know how long it will take to show back up in my account, again she said it would depend on my bank. I'm still overdrawn and also incurred a $35 fee from my bank and now the payment that I made for my phone service has also been returned with a fee due to he reversal not being done. On 5/9, I contacted my bank and was told that they have nothing to do with reversals that it depends on the "system" FBCS use for reversals. I was told that if it wasn't posted back to my account by 5/10 to call FBCS back. On 5/10, I still don't see this reversal so I called FBCS again and spoke with [redacted] wasn't in. I expressed my concerns to him and wasn't given any helpful information at all. He advised me to call back on 5/12 and speak with [redacted]. On 5/12, I called [redacted] and had to leave a message. I let her know that I still wasn't seeing this $296.50 back in my account yet. I requested a call back ASAP and it's now 7:59 pm EST and I have yet to get a call back. As you know, it only takes a being negative 1 penny to completely destroy your bank account, you can imagine what $296.50 would do.Desired Settlement: I want this money, $296.50 plus the $35.00 fee charged by my bank to be put back into my account.

Review: This company filed an Account review inquiry on my credit without my permission. They then began to call me requesting information from me and telling me I need to pay money to them on an account from [redacted] that went to collections, on an account I never had.Desired Settlement: I do want this company to stop contacting me. I am concerned that they have made an account inquiry on my credit report, when I never authorized them to do so. I do not have an account with them, and the claimed "debt" I supposedly owe them is from an account I never had, and an account that does not show up on my credit report. I never want this company to make another account inquiry on me, and clear my name from any false debt they think I owe them.

Review: I got a phone call about a month ago and I forgot the ladies name with whom I spoke to but she asked if I was [redacted] and of course I said yes because I am then she had the nerve to give me my last four of my social, I personally think that is illegal. Asking someone their social security number is different because what if I really wasn't [redacted] and someone was pretending to be me. a lot of places nowadays sometimes ask for just your last four digits. I feel y privacy was pushed out into the open when she did that and I want something done about that. I feel that right there that is no type of privacy whatsoever.Desired Settlement: If I am able to id like to drop the payments due. I feel my privacy was put out there and that is completely wrong. Review: Last week I was taken care of a [redacted]) account payment. The customer service rep asked was I calling about my FBCS account. I said "No, I don't have a FBCS account. What is FBCS? Y'all better not be trying to scam me." The rep then got me to my account. I thought that was the last of this situation. However, I accessed my credit report a few days later. I could not believe my eyes. Sitting on my Experian report was a company called Federal Bond and Collection. By it, was something saying I owed a [redacted] Emergency hospital bill. The amount was $150. It said I had been contacted in October 2013 and they got no response. So it's saying I'm past due as of November 2013. I called the toll free number listed to inquire about the account. I was told on October 31, 2007 I went to the hospital for service. They kept saying on Halloween you went and owe. I told them I had paid all my medical bills current and the only $150 charge I'd had was paid off already. They told me to contact the hospital for explanation. So I called [redacted] of [redacted], Arkansas. The phone number ###-###-#### told me they had once been owned back in 2007 by a company named [redacted] and told me to call them. I called the number: ###-###-#### and got an answering machine. Three different times I called and left messages. No one has returned my calls concerning this issue. I paid that bill off. The guy for Federal Bond and Collection name is [redacted]. He gave me the phone number ###-###-#### as his direct line. The guy originally told me to look into this situation myself but he would also check it out. Once I did and got back to him, [redacted] got upset and mad. He told me I owe the bill and must pay it. The accounts he gave me to look into this matter were: [[redacted]-*] and [[redacted]]. I know I paid this bill in full because I had them remove it from my credit report back in March or April 2013 once it was already paid off. Now this company is trying to come back behind it and receive payment again. I believe I paid this bill in full either November or December 2012 or by February 2013. I am highly upset because this is a lot of companies to go through. The hospital's name was [redacted] Medical Park Hospital of [redacted], Arkansas back in 2007. Now the hospital is known as [redacted] of [redacted] in [redacted], Arkansas. They said they have no records of this bill and if it exists, [redacted] has the records. But [redacted] has refused to call me. Plus the lady I spoke with at ###-###-#### said she cannot vouch for the credibility and integrity of the company [redacted]. And I believe that Federal Bond and Collection is shady because [redacted] mentioned their name off my account that should not have even been associated with anything else. So, I know I don't owe this bill. Plus articles are all over the internet saying this Federal Bond and Collection company is using predatory techniques to get money out people even off bills they've already paid. That scares me.Desired Settlement: Somehow this company already had my post office box address. They claimed it was probably an old address but it is not. They never sent me an explanation of these charges. They never gave me a chance to respond to any letter. Federal Bond and Collection needs to never try to collect the money again and stop contacting me. [redacted] of [redacted] hospital said they have no records of this charge AND the company they referred me to called [redacted] never responded to my many attempts to get in contact with them even after I left a message. It means that I do not owe this charge. Stop trying to collect money for it.

I am in the process of a buying a home so naturally I am making sure my credit report looks okay for when the loan processes. Unfortunately when checked today, shockingly I had 9 collection accounts that affected my credit score tremendously. I had no idea where the debts came from so after calling the debt agency it was was from when I was seen in the ER at a local hospital back in 2010 and 2009. I have never received a bill and have never been contacted by telephone from this company regarding these unpaid accounts or I would have definately taken care of it before buying a home. do I have any options?
