Feldco installed windows that were initially approved by the Village if Campton Hills. We applied for all neccesary permits and received them from the village. None of the windows replaced were egress windows.After installation, the village...

determined that they wanted egress windows in the upstairs bedroom. Most villages,cities and municipalities do not require that second story bedrooms have egress windows. After this requirement was made known to Feldco, we offered to replace the bedroom windows as requested by the village at no charge to the customer. The homeowners have rejected this offer.

Re: Windows installed that will not pass inspection

I am in receipt of your most recent letter dated June 19, 2015th. Originally the egress type windows were presented to us along with a cost for the labor. Your office sent out someone from your company to come out and show them to us. I told him that wouldn't work because then I'm going to have two different types of windows and it would not look correct. They would need to replace all the windows out so that everything would match. And this point your company called my wife and told her Feldco is done with this matter.
We were counting on Feldco to be the experts on this matter and understand the national codes and the required codes and standards of our village. If I was presented this and knew this upfront we would've just got the casement windows. Now I would rather have ALL the windows change out to Casements or the same type which will meet the code according to the village without a miss match of window types.
If this cannot be accomplished we are asking to simply refund us the money that we paid for these windows, you're more than welcome to have them back. We will hire a different window company and manufacture that can install new windows to meet the required codes.
I hope you could take care of this issue as soon as possible as I'm still very concerned about the safety and well-being of my family and this is upsetting and stressful to us every day this goes on. I don't believe it is my fight with the village you guys are the experts in this matter and got the permit.

Our General Manager has since spoken to Mr. [redacted], and will be speaking again this afternoon, 11/20/17, to discuss the plan moving forward to finish the project.  We appreciate the customer's business and regret the delays in getting project finished.  Thank you.

Feldco's Director of Operations spoke with customer and have a plan to resolve outstanding issues.

Feldco inspected the project and confirmed that the windows and patio door were installed correctly and properly insulated.

I had asked Feldco to rectify their...

mistake ASAP. I also asked them not to send the same person that made the damages to my home in the first place. Neither of these wishes are honored. Same person that made damages arrived at my house and unfortunately that visit done 6/13 were not succesful as my window comes down if opened up. I have received no calls from managers on this, besides the call I placed to [redacted] to advise him of this new issue, that same day. I was told another person would come out this Friday 6/19 to try and fix. This will be the 4th or 5th visit from Feldco over a period of 2 MONTHS for Feldco to correct an issue they caused. I am very unhappy with their service and they did not honor their contract or measure up to any high standards.

Feldco completed service on June 27th and customer has been in contact with Director of Operations. All issues have been resolved.

The director personally contacted us and after reviewing the situation realized this was a problem. He wa extremely helpful and understood the situation. He was very helpful in getting the issues corrected.

Feldco has an appointment on December 7th to look at project

Feldco installed exactly what customer ordered and customer wants something different but wants Feldco to pay for it. Customer  threatened Feldco with bodily harm as he threatened to come to Feldco's offices and beat up the Sales Rep and the Sales Manager
