Filo Mortgage

We had a very easy and fast refinance process with Filo. The refinance was completed within a few weeks with no issues, and closing was completed on time. Highly recommend.

I wasn’t sure how the process would go applying online but I was pleasantly surprised. My interest rate was the best I found online. There were no surprises. The title fees also came in lower than I was initially quoted. We would go with Filo again. I also recommended them to my friends and family.

I contacted Filo Mortgage to attempt to refinance my mortgage, my initial contact was fine. A loan officer contacted me, provided all of the rate information and answered any questions I had to start the process. After deciding to proceed I was sent the link to complete an application, which their websites claims it only takes about a day to get a loan commitments from them. Since then I have been unable to get a hold of the loan officer or speak with anyone at the company. Phone calls and emails have gone unanswered for over a week now. I question the validity of a company that would gather people's personal information then never contact them again.

Terrible communication and false promises. Look elsewhere if you are wanting to do a refinance or home purchase. My credit is well over 750 and they were continuously giving false promises. Never ended up completing the refinance yet they have all my information and don't care to follow up on a poor experience despite texts to the rep back and forth on my unhappiness nothing was done.

They wasted months of my life. Terrible communication. Weeks would go by without any communication at all and then I would hear from a different person every time. They asked for the same documents from me several times. Avoid them, go with another company for a slightly higher rate.

I have nothing but good things to say about Filo Mortgage. Their team seemed to work overtime to help me refinance in just under two weeks. They answered all my emails, texts and calls right away. They also offered the lower rate!

The team offered me the best deal out of all of the lenders I spoke with. They were always communicating and there whenever I needed them. Thank you, Filo!

Best mortgage rate. No fees. Closed in 11 days. The staff was very responsive. Saved a lot of money over the life of my loan.

Filo Mortgage doesn't charge fees. I closed my loan in less than 12 days.

I was referred to Filo Mortgage from a friend who said they had a great experience. My wife and I were amazed at how much lower our payment is and we closed in 8 days. I'm really impressed with this company and how quick everything went. I will definitely use them again in the future.

What a horrible experience. I made it to closing day and the attorney brought the wrong disclosures AFTER I had told Filo they were wrong and I needed updated ones. He told me to sign the new ones later after he left and fax them back to Filo. Filo told me that was wrong but did NOTHING to fix it so I had to cancel my refinance. They called me and made promises about fixing it and said they would call me later (I have the voicemail) and never called. They emailed to figure out what went wrong and asked to call me when I was available. I gave them times to do so and they never called. It's almost like they are a brand new company and have no idea what they're doing. They do not care. Be very careful.

I did my research and shopped for the lowest rate. Filo was both low and their service was very good. I even spoke with the founder of the company, Jeff, and he was extremely responsive throughout our process. I have done many loans but have never closed as quick as we did with Filo. Very happy with this company.

Filo Mortgage took great care of me with the best rate for my situation and a super speedy process. I worked with several people at Filo and all were very friendly and responsive. I highly recommend.

BEWARE!!! HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION!!!
This company advertises refi's in 2 weeks.....they immediately respond to your request and have you complete the application/forms then they provide INACCURATE and INCOMPLETE finance forms and tell you...."just sign and we will fix in underwriting", then once you sign the initial application....be prepared for 100% radio silence. ZERO response.....a 2 week process (started on May 21, 2020) is still in process (it's July 12, 2020).
3 family members contacted them, they take your info and STOP communicating....leaving you unsure what is going on. They DO NOT communicate with the applicants....even with repeated ways to communicate: PHONE, TEXT, EMAIL. Out of the 3 family members, they only completed 1 loan and it was INCORRECT!!!!! They changed the closing amount 3 times, they overcharged the family member (it took weeks to get the refund), they EXCLUDED property taxes as part of the loan request.
They leave cryptic messages like: your not being paid the correct amount (I guess this is their paystub analysis). And leave you wondering FOR WEEKS....what does that even mean?
I will NEVER recommend and would caution ANYONE before you consider FILO MORTGAGE!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! It’s a scam. They collect all of your data and then stop responding. Several complaints on their Facebook page about this as well. Do not waste your time or give them ANY of your personal information.

I recently purchased a home and used Filo Mortgage based on a recommendation from a friend. My loan officer Tim was incredibly helpful, professional and made the entire process a breeze. Tim provided us with almost daily updates and communicated well with everyone involved in the transaction from myself and my agent to the sellers agent etc. Our sale was slightly more complicated due to the fact that it involved a gift letter but Tim made sure we understood every step of the process. I also had the pleasure of communicating with the CEO Van when the closing date got moved. Van did an excellent job helping us navigate the final needs of underwriting and as a result of both these men’s hard work, we were miraculously able to close in 30 days! Buying a house can be stressful but refinancing can be more stressful (rate changes, payback periods, paper work, etc.). I went on multiple sites before hearing about Filo Mortgage. Not only do they offer very competitive rates (if not the best) but their customer service is unmatched. I was slightly skeptical at first but my worries subsided after working with Tia. She walked me through every step and answered my hundreds of questions. It was the easiest process and took less than 2 weeks. Tia needs to write a book on customer service because it would be a best seller. This is an elite business, ran by excellent business professionals. I recommend Tia to everyone and will use Tia again and again.
