On 11/one of Walking Retailers con men walked into my garage in an attempt to speak with me about my cableI informed him that I was not interested and he immediately gave me a sob story about his boss "Oscar" being a jerk for making him work this early (it was 11:am)He then made an insult about my mother (died in 1997) when I asked him to leave againHe then proceeded to yell at me so I put my tools down and walked towards him telling him I am no longer asking, I am now telling him to get off my propertyHe decided to argue and he then threatened meThe police were called and they spoke with him for about minutes before telling him to leave the neighborhoodI wish I could upload a picture as I have one of this guy flipping me off as he was finally leavingAvoid this company, period

In response to Mr [redacted] 's statements: His service was installed on 11/03/as statedWe received a call from Mr [redacted] on 11/4/Our associate spoke to him about his issues with connectivity and the remoteOn this call he stated that he had already cancelled his service with Dish and that he just wanted it goneOur associate apologized and explained what the consequences of cancelling were and offered a technician to go out there and fix the problemsMr [redacted] declinedOur representative explained that the account is on a year contract and that there are penalties for cancelling before the years are upThis was also explained to Mr [redacted] at the time of the initial saleWe fully script our customers to let them know what they are getting and what the conditions of the contract areOn that script, we fully explain what the year contract is and what the ramifications of cancelling are per DISH directly, not usCustomer had cancelled the account directly thru Dish before calling us to resolve the issuesThe agreement he was scripted about, and that he signed for clearly states the cancellation fees due at the time of cancellation

After careful review of Ms [redacted] complaint, we found that her refund was due to her from the installersThey are independent contractors and should have reimbursed the consumerThe installers were the provider that was charging an additional fee for wiringOur notes indicate that we notified them with her payment informationObviously, since this did not happen, [redacted] will provide Ms [redacted] a refund We will take this up directly with the installerI sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and hope Ms [redacted] will accept this check with the understanding that we strive very hard to put customer satisfaction first

Thank you for your help in resolving this unfortunate matter First and directly, I would like to say we are refunding Ms [redacted] the full $ We are in the process of updating our phone systemI am afraid Ms [redacted] called during this processWe certainly would NEVER ignore her on purpose We are extremely sorry that her needs were not addressed due to our upgrading our systems to better serve our valued customers And, the unsigned, voided check was a simple mistakeOur system recorded the correct check number and unfortunately, sent out the wrong check to Ms [redacted] We have corrected this and she should receive her check within a couple of days We do appreciate Ms [redacted] as a customer and will strive to restore her faith in our hometown store Sincerely, [redacted] Walking Retailers, LLC Cc: [redacted]

Customer *** *** called us in regards to this discrepancyThere was a misunderstanding on what our company pays for cancellation fees at the beginning when our sales representative explained this. We confirmed her last bill with a different company and agreed to pay the final
amount of $to honor our agreementA check was sent to the customer on 1/23/15. Customer is happy with this resolution and will call us if she has any other questions or concerns

billing comes directly from ***Although she was signed up by Walking
Retailers, an independent retailer, we could only offer pricing packages that
were offered at the timeBut, *** does have the authority to change pricing
based on corporate standardsThis is exactly what happened to her billingShe
started out paying $+ tax and *** has increased this to $101.25. The difference of this is $a
monthI have worked very hard to try to get an exception made by Corporate
***, and have been unable to do so
But,
because Customer service and Retention is so important to Walking Retailers, we
are going to pay the $for months to adjust her billMs*** has
been extremely patient and understanding throughout this processOur hope is
that Ms*** does not have any more issues with ***

I was recently approached by a walking retailer in***I ended up signing up for Dish when I already had*** servicesHe said they would pay for the switch and*** gave them permission tooWell it was all lies and I fell for the scamThey won't let me cancel unless I pay early termination feesNow I have two bills to pay for more than what I was paying before!There were a lot more lies told I could write a bookI will probably start a class action suit against them ,because my neighbors were also scammed

Do not do business with this companyYou tell them what you want and they say that's what they're going to provide but that's not what you getWalking retailers will downgrade your Electronics and scam you out of money if you're not carefulPay close attention to your order and what you're doingcustomer service is rude they take your money do not offer services then make you jump through hoops to get it back

Just wanted to say this company is greatA salesman can to my door and started talking to me about my cable billAt first I wasn't interested but I decided to humor himAlot of things started to make senseBy the time he left ,he upgraded my whole system, cut my cost by $400/yr and gave me exactly what I wantedI couldn't be happier! I see all the bad reviews but I have nothing but good things to sayThanks walking retailers!, ,If more of us customers put good expierences on here I'm sure your rate in would be better

Nerer do business with this firm ( I suspect the sales person is the corporation) The sales person made several statments, misrepresented the contract and the sharing of the penalty to leave an existing satilite tv company ( told me he would pay 1/half or $and infact it was $and he shoulded have paid $160) but didn't do as he promissed When questioned about service in a additional state he gave a verbale guarantee which proved worthless Word to the wise wgatch out for door to door sales

I do not allow solicitors into my home BUT this fast talking salesman said he was from *** and could save me $30-$on current bill with a special promotion
He answered all my many concerns about the program he offeredMy actual savings would be $I told him I was not aware of ***/*** ***He pointed each of their logos on his shirtHe told me I would need to pay $sifeeI questioned why *** didn't pay thisWhile connected with the office for contract details and rules verification/understanding the girl kept referring to DISHI questioned it and he said yes we have to change you every two years to get new customer rebateI was concerned if I went with DISH I would no longer get *** at my cabin in PrescottHe repeatedly said I wouldHe instructed me to call *** when the new DISH was installed, to return the *** equipmentNOTEHE WAS LETTING ME RETURN THE OLD EQUIPMENT SO CANCELLING MY *** CONTRACT
After I signed up and authorized the $100, he leftI went through the logic of all this and it did not add up I called *** to be told, what I suspected, there would be a$cancellation fee even though he had repeatedly assured me I had no contract with them after twenty-two years of serviceSo I was now out $and that does not even address the further increase in fees if I was no longer bundling *** through Century linkI called Chris McPherson to discuss this and eventually cancel the new contractEach time he answered the 'phone as ***
This is a fast talking con-man who will take all unsuspecting clients for hundreds of dollarsHad his spiel been recorded he could easily have been served with a civil or even criminal suit for mis-representation and fraud He is merely a retailer who will do anything to make quick money AT YOUR EXPENSEHis company is Walking Retailers and is no longer accredited with Revdex.comHis rating was an FPass the word around

I was not impressed with this company. What I was told I'd be getting, I did not receive. I had to call multiple times about a refund that was suppose to be sent to me, its been over a month and now almost a week since I last talked to someone. I would not recommend this company, I feel they told me whatever they needed to get me to sign up.

This was also explained to Mr. [redacted] at the time of the initial sale. We fully script our customers to let them know what they are getting and what the conditions of the contract are. On that script, we fully explain what the 2 year contract is and what the ramifications of cancelling are per DISH directly, not us. Customer had cancelled the account directly thru Dish before calling us to resolve the issues. The agreement he was scripted about, and that he signed for clearly states the cancellation fees due at the time of cancellation.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I never said I was happy what I wanted was not resolved what I wanted to be in with was the rep who sold me the contract to call me at knowledge and apologize. I accepted the full refund but it was not what made me happy in doing it because there's too many of these businesses that deceive customers like myself and never are held accountable for it
