I ordered a juvenile Savannah monitor on the 19th of June First off they took forever to ship me my savannahSecond, when my savannah arrived on the 25th of June it arrived sickly/dehydrated/lethargic/ and wont eatThird, instead of giving me the juvenile I payed for! they sent me a almost dead hatchling! I could see the bones on it! Fourth, they wont respond to my complaints I sent them a complaint on Facebook, yahoo, and on their website and still no replythese people are a shady business!

Does not have products in stock and will string you along after receiving payment Is barely responsive and will not refund until absolutely forced States that "chargebacks are illegal" on their website which is a bold-faced lie The fact that a company even mentions chargebacks on their website tells you how poor their service is

The Service was horribleWouldn't answer any of my questionsOf course I paid for overnight shipping but didn't receive my uro till two weeks later after I tried to cancel my order! The uro seems healthy but not very tame! Would not recommend, will Never do business with again!

We ordered an Asian Vine snake There was no communication as to when the snake would be shipped We received her today...DEAD She arrived in a non-ventilated cardboard box with a small (cold) hand warmer as her heat source We have tried to contact the company all day today via e-mail and phone with no luck DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY Truly disgusted!

I ordered a white eyed crocodile skink from first choice reptiles March 12th was supposed to get email updates as the order status changes they guarantee that the animal would ship wishin business days I paid total $US dollars for this animal they didn't update me with the order status at all and finally fedex arrives at my door on March 23rd at 10:26a.m and so I rush to open the box to find my expensive lizard is deadSo it's now March 30th and o have been emailing them to times a day since then got one reply right away asking for pictures I sent the pictures and haven't heard back from them my recommendation is to find some crack head in Palm Bay Florida pay them to steal every single animal out of this place and set the piece of *** on fireThese people are a complete *** scam and I'm pretty *** off about my experience with these terrible people it didn't just die of cold or something it looks like somebody stabbed it in the stomach with a tooth pick there was blood in the carry out container the lizard was in it was supposed to be a present for my wife but the box had the stench of death and she was completely mortifiedThis business sucks *** I'll buy my animals from tweaked before I go through this company again

After placing an order for a chameleon with First Choice Reptiles I read the negative reviews here and was extremely concernedI wanted to report that my experience was positive; they were responsive, albeit brief, to my questions via email, I was notified of shipping, the box was well packedOur animal arrived hungry and ready to get the heck out of his container, but is settled and doing very well now

Terrible serviceI'm moving later today out of stateI bought an animal from fcr weeks ago and paid for overnight shippingItem says in stockWeeks later no responseI take up a claim with paypalThey get them to ship the item without me receiving a call or anything the night before I move and the shipping fedex two day to be delivered the day after my flightAweful business and they purposely don't have a reachable line so as to conduct shady business

I shall preface this review with this was my first online reptile purchase
I purchased a blue tongue skink from "First Choice Reptiles" after having read numerous reviews on their website and seeing that they appeared rather reputable, I believed this was a good choice for an online reptile purchaseTheir website stated overnight shipping, with the reptile being shipped one day after ordering, shipping Mondays through Thursdays, unless complications arose
I placed my order Sunday evening, 3/8/2015, for an adult blue tongue skinkThe website said they were availableI had expected my adult skink to arrive the following Tuesday or Wednesday depending on processing, and had made arrangements to be home both days to receive my packaged reptile via Fedex
Wednesday rolled around and I had heard nothing, so I sent an email in leu of a phone call Wednesday afternoon, having yet to receive tracking information, or that my skink had been shippedI received a reply Saturday, after days of nervesThe response stated that the skink I had ordered was not available at this time, but that they would ship out a juvenile Monday because I had been inconvenienced and that it would arrive TuesdayThe email also implied that juvenile skinks usually cost more (which is not apparent on their website), but that they would give me a break since I'd waiting so longThis was the first sign that there may be a problem I replied that that arrangement would work for me, and received no response
On Monday I received two emails, one from the same employee I had been in contact with stating that due to complications my skink would be shipped Wednesday insteadThe subsequent email stated that my skink had been shipped, but offered no shipping number nor Fedex informationUnsure of this clear contradiction, I again prepared myself to be available Tuesday and Wednesday to received my skink, but knew that depending on which email was accurate I may be looking at a second entire week of not knowing when my skink would arrive
I checked my email constantly hoping to obtain a tracking number of some sort, or any indication that the contradiction of emails had been solvedToday, 3/18/2015, my skink arrived via FedexThe Fedex employee nearly dropped the box as they handed it over, making me nervous of what to expectAs I feverishly unpacked my skink with care the temperature of the box became apparentThe "heat pad" meant to keep the lizard warm for the travel was freezing on arrival, the lizards body was about degrees Fahrenheit; he appeared to be in shockI quickly held the box over a heat vent hoping to warm him when I noticed the vast amounts of urine and feces in the bag with himWhen I removed him from the bag, flies flew out, which didn't make me too comfortableI immediately noticed three head wounds which appeared to have occurred at various times due to the different levels of healingOne appeared to be an aged scar, a second what appeared to be a newly healing wound, and the third a recently shed scale which had not grown in properly
After reviving him and bringing his body up to a good temperature I began to inspect him closely and noticed he also had mites crawling all over his skin
Needless to say I am very unimpressed with this business and I do NOT recommend anybody purchase an animal from "First Choice Reptiles"They clearly do not treat injuries or parasitic infections, they do not care about customer satisfaction nor communication, are difficult at best to contact (they do not answer the phone), and they are overall disorganized and not upfront
If you purchase a reptile here, please make important inquires before doing so, ask for pictures not only of the animal but of the facilityAsk what year the animal was born to ensure it was captive bred, and absolutely implore your need for solid, timely communication about matters involving shipping and the animal itself
Or make the right choice and do not purchase an animal from this dealer

Purchased four White's Australian tree frogs Sent three Indonesian tree frogs and one White's Australian He shipped the frogs quickly, but he cheated on the bloodline

I had ordered chameleons from First Choice Reptile and had specific instructions to make it a fast orderAfter a week of waiting I had decided to give up and I emailed them multiple times requesting to cancel my orderSince they do not answer their phones (ever) you must correspond via emailHowever, they do not respond to emails either, not even ones sent over their direct contact service set up on the websiteAnyways it has been almost a month and I just received chameleonsAll were alive but one of the females is likely pregnantI can not afford chameleon babies, so if she is pregnant I will be looking for a settlement

This was the first and last time that I will place an order with this company. My experience started out well, and turned into a nightmare. I appreciated the thorough species descriptions on the website, and the fact that they responded promptly to my first email inquiry. Once I placed my order, though, things began to decline.

In contrast to the way they detail their shipping process on the website ("All live animals are shipped via FedEx overnight services, which allows us to ensure that no ill comes to your animal before they make it to you... After your animal ships, you will be emailed a FedEx tracking number so that you can follow your order to your door and ensure its safety and security.") my animals were sent via UPS second day air, and I never received a tracking number, despite my repeated requests for one.

Never mind the $39.00 that I paid for express overnight FedEx shipping, I am just grateful that my animals arrived alive. Apparently, this company is routinely dropping the ball with shipping and communication, and the result is that the animals are paying the ultimate price and dying in the mail. (Check [redacted] for many similar sad stories, if you have any doubts).

Also, I want to point out that the phone number listed here is not in service, and there is no way to actually speak with someone at the company, and communication is very difficult, especially if they ignore your emails.

This has been a terrible customer service experience, and I strongly encourage others to stay away from First Choice Reptiles.

I ordered from First choice reptiles and I later read reviews and tried to cancel and they said they would figure out how and a week after I said this they shipped my order. I never got a knock on my door for them and I don't know how long they were out there. I received an extra salamander I didn't order, missing a blue whites tree frog and the two frogs I did get were unhealthy and one was dead. I emailed them and they never responded.

Terrible experience. I ordered and paid for a lizard. After 2 weeks, and no tracking number, I received my lizard. It was dead. So after several days and emails, I finally received a reply that they would send another. That was over 2 weeks ago, and I still have not received my lizard, they will not respond to my emails, and they still have the $70.00 I paid. Terrible company. I highly advise finding somewhere else to order from.

Buyer Beware!

Ordered two baby stinkpots.
Arrived with 1 upside down in the container, DoA. Other one seemed healthy, but died suddenly mid-day after just 4 days.

Contacting the company is difficult and painfully slow. They only do email, and they do not answer them all in the morning like they claim. Response I did get about refunding for the DoA was short and uninformative. No mention of how the return/refund would be handled. 48 hours after I sent a follow up asking what the next step in the process is, still haven't heard back.

**Assuming at this point they are just keeping my money and I'm out of luck.**

I've raised this exact breed of turtle a few times (currently have 2 others in a tank that I've owned for almost 8 years, since they were babies), and never had any problems with one before. Buyer beware.

My experience with this company was poor. There is no communication. They do not ship animals by FED X as stated. They do not coordinate shipment date. My reptiles were left in the freezing cold rain all day until I got home from work. Two died. I contacted the company for a refund and again no communication.
