Trying to collect/report a bill that should not be on my credit report! It's from 2008! NOT 2012!They are trying to collect on a debt that was not that amount, and was reported in 2008,NOT 2012!! Should NOT be in my credit report and I will NOT pay someone to remove it!Desired SettlementI want this completely removed from my credit report!Immediately!

I started associating with this company due to a past credit card I had. We settled upon a 50% settlement. I made 4 payments and decided that I would make a double payment by September 16th to finally pay what was agreed upon, and have the settlement over and done with. We had a personal item go out in our house and used the payment originally planned to pay them cover our cost. (Our washer went out) I called today (Sep 8th) to tell them I was going to mail in a double payment to finish this off, but I was told "because I didn't send in a payment in August, or call them to tell them what my intent was, that the settlement was now void and I would have to enter into a new settlement agreement at 50% of the balance left". If I knew that I would've had to call to tell them my intent then I would've done it. I worked too hard to finally meet the deadline. I told them I had spoke to someone in the prior months at their business and asked them " so that as long as the whole agreed settlement amount was paid by the deadline of September 16th, then it would be okay"? I was told "yes". I spoke to a George Diaz who referred to himself as a supervisor. I explained to him my situation and he was the 1 who told me it was now void and I had to enter into a new settlement. I was told 2 different things by 2 different employees and NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING by mail or word of mouth that the settlement would be void if I chose to skip 1 month and make a double payment the next month by the due date. This was dirty ploy in my opinion and I feel robbed by the double jeopardy rules this business chooses to use. Beware of this company. I feel as though they are the typical collection agency who choose to defy people rather than really settle. Now I'm in a quandary. I've offered to pay the agreed amount by final day to pay, but now they're saying I need to enter into a new settlement. I feel robbed. Collection agencies shouldn't be allowed to make their own rules, but, rather they should follow proper procedures.Desired SettlementAgree upon original settlement and not enter into a new settlement. I have offered to meet such requirement.

FNCB sent me a notice that they have a bill from Verizon wireless that they have in collections. I owe these people nothing and have no knowledge of this bill.I would greatly appreciate them not calling me or contacting me in any way. I tried calling them to let them know but they wanted all kinds of information from me that I did not feel comfortable giving them. So I am stating it here for help in having this company leave me alone. Thank you.Desired SettlementI would just like no further contact and them to leave me alone.Business Response Dear Consumer,We received and reviewed your complaint alleging that First National Collection Bureau, Inc. I received a letter claiming I could pay off a debt of 919.87 with a 50% discount paid over 5 months for an account I never had in 2006.I received a letter claiming I could pay off a debt of 919.87 with a 50% discount paid over 5 months. The issue is I never had the account they are referencing. I called them to discuss the issue and they said the debt was from 2006. Once I let them know I had never had an account by the original creditor the lady said that all she could do was note the account that we had spoken. It would appear that the creditor looking to obtain the debt had pulled the account back from them at 4:16 am the day before. This would mean they were sent this debt and had it pulled back in less then a month. I said that the whole situation sounded fishy and she was quick to get off the phone. How can you try collect a "debt" that is nonexistent from 9 years previous? This just proves that they do not look into the "debts" before they harass innocent people. Desired SettlementI want this company to remove this "debt" from all future scams and ensure the false debt never hits my credit. I don't care if they have to contact National Credit Adjustment group (the creditor who sent them debt) and work it out between them. This is a false account they need to ensure goes away.

Trying to collect on a debt that is a result of identity theft after sending police report and affidavit to [redacted]I just received a collection letter in the mail today from this company attempting to collect on a debt that is NOT mine. This is the THIRD time now that [redacted]has turned a debt over to a collection agency that is the result of identity theft. In 2014 I filed a police report and an FTC fraud affidavit and this account was included in that. I have since forwarded the fraud paperwork and police report to [redacted] and the last THREE collection agencies that they sold this debt to. I am a victim of identity theft. The debt about which your agency contacted me is the result of fraud by someone who used my personal information without my knowledge or consent. What your company and [redacted]is now doing is illegal. The other three collection agencies have dropped this and I haven't heard anything for months until your letter today. My patience is running out with collection agencies and [redacted]on this account, if this is not resolved promptly and gets reported to the CRA's I will have my attorney, [redacted] in [redacted] file a lawsuit against your collection agency and [redacted]for violations of the FCRA, FDCPA, defamation, and anything else that he sees fit.See: [redacted]Desired SettlementLearn the laws and follow them! Quit attempting to collect a debt that is the result of identity theft. Previous debt collectors on this same debt as well as [redacted] has been furnished with the police reports, FTC affidavits, and more. I have also since requested a block from all three CRA's on this debt that [redacted] continues to fraudulently try to collect on. If this account hits my credit report or you continue to try to collect on it, I will be reporting you to my State Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission, as well as filing a lawsuit against your collection agency and [redacted] for violations of the FCRA, FDCPA, and anything else that my attorney sees fit which is a $1,000 fine for each offense.Business Response Dear Consumer,We received and reviewed your complaint alleging that First National Collection Bureau, Inc.
