Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does satisfy my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] I understand that by choosing to accept the business response that my complaint will be closed as resolved Regards, [redacted] I believe the facility was closed closer to months, beginning shortly after Veteran's day. Also, even now,it is not fully open, with several features, including the track and the pool, among others, still unavailable. Therefore full price should not be charged. It is still in disarray and there is only bicycle functioning. In addition, the communication throughout the entire process has been and continues to be very poor

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] W fitness states that they are only charging me that amount as a courtesy, when they in fact can not charge me for the other fees They do not supply a copy of the contract when you sign up, nor are the cancellation policies posted in customer view which is Massachusetts law I tried to cancel my membership on the 3rd day due to the poor quality equipment and the gentleman behind the desk said that the equipment was being serviced that night and to wait This was a scam to get me to stay so I would be stuck paying the $annual lock in fee and an additional $for the month of May I had no problem not being refunded the $I already paid in full for April despite only used the facility for days When I attempted to cancel the membership three times the financial institute used to process W Fitness payments, [redacted] , continuously called me and never followed up on my cancellation notice even though I sent over the cancellation multiple times The manager [redacted] told me when I attempted to cancel in person the first time, that the company will harass me with phone calls until I pay them all of their fees This is poor business practice and I should not be charged an annual fee or an additional month fee for a facility I used for days Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] Please see the attached email thread in response to the last communication If I was not afforded days notice of the club location's closing, I do not believe I should be held to that same standard for notifying the Club of canceling my membership There were rumors circulating on social media and among the member's about the Club closing, but as last as of the last week of January, Club staff still would not confirm this The email I've attached indicates that Club staff did not know until February, and yet another communication in this complaint states that the Club posted notices on January 20, which was NOT TRUE, I was there and I asked staff The only notices posted were that child care was suspended I'm surprised I'm still having to argue this, as it seems rather clear Please afford me the respect of being truthful here and don't make us continue this argument.Regards, [redacted]

*** *** has received my cancellation three times; 4/6, 5/1, and 5/ This is just for my contact through emails, I have made separate phone calls to the company to cancel speaking to ***, ***, ***, ***, and *** All stated they contacted the facility via email to take care of the recurring charges Attached are the forwarded messages to *** and *** of the original cancellation, as well as the original cancellation responded to by *** on 4/ It has been a back and forth game of the gym stating I need to cancel through *** and *** stating I need to cancel through the gym because of the short period of time I attended The gym has no signage of the cancellation process visible to customers to see, which is MA law Also the equipment is not oiled or maintained and is a danger to members The manager acknowledged that the cables on the cable machines did not fit the equipment and caused it to stick because they were to big to run smoothly on the track When I asked if they oiled the pistons on the other equipment, neither the manager nor staff knew the answer I am not new to gyms, I have been members of two other gyms for years in one and years in another I would also like proof that my membership agreement was sent to me with a time stamped email

Hi ***, It appears that you paid the past due amount to *** at the end of last week, and your account is cancelled out with nothing further due

Revdex.com: The club stated that they posted notice of closing on 1/20/This is completely untrueI and many other members were attempting to find out the truth during that time period The email I received just yesterday from the club stated that their staff wasn't even informed until February, so which is it? I can the *** discussions about misinformation that people were getting if you'd like to see that evidenceClearly this organization wanted to make sure that they collected the $annual fee from as many members as they could by withholding the information which I find a disgusting business practice and I hope the Revdex.com agrees with me

As I stated in the previous message the facility was closed for one month and [redacted] credited one monthly payment to everyone's account in February to make up for the closure. Also, W-Fitness membership agreement state the following "W-Fitness regularly closes on a temporary basis its facilities (or portions of its facilities) for maintenance, selected holidays, etc. and such temporary closures will have no effect on this agreement so long as such temporary closures are reasonable. If your home club is permanently closed, moved or sold, W-Fitness reserves the right to assign and transfer your membership to another club within 25 miles of your home club in accordance with the buyer’s rights under state law."

W fitness states that they are only charging me that amount as a courtesy, when they in fact can not charge me for the other fees.  They do not supply a copy of the contract when you sign up, nor are the cancellation policies posted in customer view which is Massachusetts law.   I tried to cancel my membership on the 3rd day due to the poor quality equipment and the gentleman behind the desk said that the equipment was being serviced that night and to wait.  This was a scam to get me to stay so I would be stuck paying the $49.99 annual lock in fee and an additional $11 for the month of May.  I had no problem not being refunded the $11 I already paid in full for April despite only used the facility for 5 days.  When I attempted to cancel the membership three times the financial institute used to process W Fitness payments, [redacted], continuously called me and never followed up on my cancellation notice even though I sent over the cancellation multiple times.  The manager [redacted] told me when I attempted to cancel in person the first time, that the company will harass me with phone calls until I pay them all of their fees.  This is poor business practice and I should not be charged an annual fee or an additional month fee for a facility I used for 5 days.

The club email is no longer active and there is no longer any staff working at that location, Please show us what email you received yesterday.  Also, when I stated that this was posted on [redacted], it was posted on the official club page. The facility never operated any member discussion boards.

The Worcester facility was temporally closed on December 16, 2016 due to a broken sprinkler pipe that was caused by a negligent [redacted] Employee. The facility reopened on January 16, 2017 after approval from the city of Worcester building department. All members were refunded one monthly...

payment for the time that the facility was closed.  Due to a poor first quarter the business decided to permanently close its doors and cease operations. At that time all existing memberships, along with member records and contact lists were transferred to [redacted] in Shrewsbury, MA. The Facility posted signage at the facility, on various social media sites, and the WFitness website. The facility also sent emails to any members with an email on file letting them know.  Unfortunately we have no access to any former member records as they were all transferred to [redacted].
