Review: I was lead to this dealership, yesterday 12/*, due to false advertisement. An advertisement that is currently still incorrect on their website. We had settled on a purchase price of $20,400 after a $490 down payment on the car that I was really interested in. I also purchased gap insurance for $700 which should have brought the total to $21100. I went in with a blank check from capital one that would cover the price but was informed that the interest rate with capital one had risen to which I said that they should go with the lower interest rate and add the $3000 back promotion (only applied if you add it to the total cost and financed it) they had going (today the [redacted], has informed me that to do that, the check would have taken longer so he preferred to go with their finance choices). With the $3000 added, the grand total should have been $24,400; instead my contract states that the total financed was $24574.81 with an additional $6971.75 as a finance charge with an interest rate of 12.85%. The end sale price ended up being 32038.50, including the down payment. Upon returning to the dealer today, the following day after purchase, the [redacted] refused to issue a new certified pre owned certificate with my name on it, the one they had given me had a strangers name on it, unless I bought a bumper to bumper warranty. It wasn't until I threatened to call a lawyer that they were able to reissue the certificate in my name, free of charge. Also, they are refusing to honor their buy back agreement which states that the car can be returned if it were in an accident and incurred frame/structural damage. They also lied toe by saying they have received the funds for payment and as a result can't switch the finance agreement. I have since called the financial bank that they utilized who said that it takes a week for them to receive the funds and that they should be able to cancel or restructure the financial agreement because they have nothing on record for me being their client.Desired Settlement: Restructure the contract, accepting my capital one check, or abide by their buy back contract that states that if the vehicle was in an accident, they will accept return as long as the miles haven't passed 1000 from the mileage at the time of purchase.

Review: I contacted this dealership with an issue regarding the title of my car on Nov ** 2013. I was told to come into the office so they can better assist. I went into their office on Nov **/2013 at which time I spoke to a rep. named [redacted] I advised him in 2010 my uncle had co- signed on a car I purchased with that dealership on my behalf and then in April 2012 I traded that car in for a newer version at which time the title was also suppose to be held under my uncle and my name. I never looked at the title until recently when I discovered it was solely under my uncle's name and I needed it change to reflect both names. I was advised that they were unable to add my name since the deal was done under a different management group. I agree to do a refinance and have my name be listed on the car. I gave my information and was told they will run my credit with Nissan Motor Acceptance and get back to on Monday Nov ** 2013. However, when I was contacted I was told I needed to go into the office to get more information. At this time I informed them was unable to do so that day. The following day I received notification that I had 7 new hard inquires on my credit report. Apparently the dealership not only check my credit with their office but several other lending institutions which I never authorized. With this said I contacted them again and was told they would get back to me and no one did. I finally text [redacted] on Monday Dec * 2013 and ask if I could pick up the title. He said it was fine for me to do so and I went in on this date, at this time I was informed that they could not find my title, I waited over 45 minutes with no luck. I then ask that they mail it to me since I had to pick up my children from the sitter and it was getting late. When I tried contacting [redacted] about the status of my title on Dec. * 2013 again I got no response. The customer service is lacking greatly and I need my document.Desired Settlement: I need them to fix what ever they did to ensure my the seven new hard inquires are removed from my credit report, I also need my title amended to reflect the names as I was previously advised would be and I need my title.

Response:

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Five Towns Nissan regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I contacted the company on several occasions and finally received my title on December [redacted] 2013. However the did not provide me with any information about the refinance they were trying to assist me with, nor did they add my name to the title to reflect the original application and in regards to my credit being checked multiple times I go no response.

Review: My husband purchased a pre-owned certified 2010 Nissan Rogue for the use of our family, on Wednesday evening, October *, 2013, and test drove the vehicle with the sale representative they refer to as "[redacted]." My husband and I notice a weird noise while test driving the vehicle and "[redacted]" assured us this was nothing to be concern with, to return the vehicle to the dealership on Thursday , October **, 2013, after work for the service Dept. to review. We returned only to be notified the Service Dept. would not be able to assist us until Saturday morning, October **, 2013. Saturday morning at 9 am(estimated) the vehicle was returned to the Service Dept, for the original noise I complained to the Sales Rep "[redacted]", the check engine light which came on Friday, October **, 2013, the vehicle not having any speed when the gas was pushed (felt as if the car was pulling an elephant), after four (4)hours of the vehicle in their possession I was told the check engine light was cleared and the reason it came on was someone put gas in the vehicle while the engine was running, furthermore, they need to have the vehicle for one (1) hour addition and needed for it to be return on Monday, October **, 2013. Monday , morning the vehicle was retuned to the Service Dept, after two (2) hours, I was told the front axel was broken and I was being taken to Hertz for a loaner vehicle.

On Tuesday, October **, 2013, I received a call from [redacted] whom inform me the vehicle was ready for pick up. Before leaving the parking lot with the vehicle we purchased on October *, 2013, I notice the noise was not repaired. [redacted] then informed both my self and a friend the dealership just spent over two thousand dollars ($2000) in parts not to mention labour. I requested to have a technician test drive and listen for the noise I was hearing in which they sent the technician/ mechanic, [redacted]. He confirmed the noise and returned to the [redacted] , [redacted] (not certain of spelling) and inform him their in fact was a noise coming from the vehicle. Please also beware the [redacted] stated (prior to me taking possession of the vehicle) to the Dealership [redacted], my friend and I '"he test drove the vehicle after the axel cuppling (not certain of spelling) and repair and the vehicle was fine, they repair the problem."

Later that evening I told I need to return to Hertz, for a "loaner" until they can figure out where the noise was coming from.

Today, October **, 2013, I received a call from [redacted], the Service Technician, who informed me the noise was because I was driving below 20 miles per hour and it was a problem with the transmission they order a new transmission. The Vehicle is currently still in their possession. I haven't had the vehicle in my possession for 48 hour without a problem, the have repaired the axel, cuppling and now the Transmission.

This vehicle was on their lot for 319 days (stated by [redacted]) prior to our possession, my husband and I only test drove it for less than half a mile with the noise, which we were told was nothing major. I feel this dealership was aware of the issue with the vehicle and sold it with instead of repairing the issue for it to be seen on a car fax report. I have missed days from work, and we feel as if we have been taken advantage of. As I have stated to all I spoke to regarding this issue ([redacted], Nissan Corporation Representative, Loan officers), I am not trying to get out of our loan obligation, we are only need of a reliable vehicle.Desired Settlement: I do not feel safe driving our children in a vehicle we were told was reliable. Our purchase has NOT proven to be reliable thus far, I am requesting, as courtesy an equal replacement/exchange for a vehicle that can and will be reliable and for our family.

Review: My son brought his Nissan in for service. He was told that he needed a new transmission by [redacted] who is a service provider. His vehicle was not going to be covered under the warranty. [redacted] initially said the transmission would be about $5000 but if we gave him $1200 he would be able to have the repair done. What [redacted] was going to do is falsify the mileage that the vehicle had so that it was going to fall under the warranty and then charge us the $1200 to have it done. He asked that the conversation be kept amongst he and myself and that he would take care of us because we were both Jewish. The dealer performed a diagnostic test the day after [redacted] first proposed the deal and it was discovered that all they needed to do is reset the cars computer. I believe his intention was to collect the $1200 and keep it for himself and the mechanic and then collect warranty money from Nissan. I have proof that is intent was to falsify records. I made the complaint to Nissan Consumer affairs and ultimately they told me that since each dealership is privately owned that it was the dealer who I would have to deal with directly. I still have not received a call back from [redacted] who is the service manager at the dealership even though I was told by Nissan Consumer Affairs that I would on the afternoon of 7/*. I believe that [redacted] at Five Towns Nissan was trying to extort money from us and would like restitution from either the dealer or Nissan. The dealerDesired Settlement: I would like a refund of the diagnostic fee of $130.35 plus the rental car fee for the day that the vehicle was at the dealer which was $34.68. I would also like to be able to bring the car to another dealer of my choice and have the diagnostic test run again at no charge.

Review: On 12/**/13 I went into Five Towns Nissan to just look at a Vehicle, and at this time a sales person came over to me, and began to talk about a vehicle I was looking at. Well I had made up my mind to trade in my van which was a town and country 2005 for a new vehicle which is a 2014 Jeep Compass. Now I was offer a program which was call a hardship to help customer who could not afford the full payment of the vehicle. I was told that if I would get the vehicle I then would be able to get this program, in which I would get a check from Nissan of $2000, and I would put up the rest of the payment. Now The payment are $617 a month, in which I knew from the start I could not afford the full $ 617 a month. The [redacted] who is [redacted], and is no longer there, explain now you will take the $250 each month, and add your $367 too the $250, and after doing this for the seven months, and paying on time you can come back in on the 7th month, and refinance your Vehicle, and at that time your payments, and rate will drop. Well I did keep my part of the deal, but Nissa didn't. I went back into Nissa July *, 2014 to have the same vehicle refinance, and I was told it couldn't be done, but they could put me into a New Vehicle, and I said no, that's like starting all over again, I want what was offered to me, I have the copy if you can help me in any kind of way. Their only deal to me was a new Vehicle the vehicle they want me to have. I also ask for my paper work of everything I sing, and was told they, don't have them in which I know this was a lie. I just needed to see them, but I have all of my papers. I want to also know can they do this? I really don't thinks so. I can't not afford $617 a month, and one of the dealer, which is [redacted] who said he was a [redacted] said just let the car get repor.(taken from me). I am not going to let that happen either to mess up my credit, so please if you can help me with this matter I will be ever so grateful. Thank you for your time, and corporation.Desired Settlement: I want the payment to drop, as I was told and the rate too. Not to start over with a new payment, because now this car will be added onto the new car, I will never finishing paying for the vehicle.
