Totally Dissatisfied with the poor bus maintenance and service
I took the Flix Bus from Union Station to San Diego on Tuesday, May 16 for the day. On my ride back from San Diego to Los Angeles, bus number 2017 broke down in the middle of the freeway due to a bad alternator. This is unprofessional and a huge issue, as the buses should have scheduled maintenance to alleviate any issues such as this.
We had to sit on the hot bus for about an hour until another bus retrieved us.
The new bus picked us up from off the freeway and drove us to the Irvine bus station, which was not the original drop off which was supposed to be Union Station. We then had to transfer to another bus to take us from Irvine to Union Station which then pushed back our original arrival time of 5 pm to approximately 8pm.
Not only were the bus drivers unsympathetic to our plight of the passengers' feelings of overwhelm and exhaustion, it felt as if they simply did not care.
In addition to all of the movement and transferring from bus to bus, I lost my phone. I put in a lost and found request, which has not been addressed since.
I still know my phone is within your possession because it is still operational, but turned off which is the state I left it in. I can still access my messages and all because to conserve battery life I turned my phone off.
I submitted a lost and found ticket on May 16th and have yet to hear back from anyone regarding my phone. I will submit another ticket in addition to attempting to reach corporate offices because this issue is despicable.
Lastly, the buses were unclean and allowed some very unsavory characters to board without showing the proper papers to board. It was very off-putting and felt unsafe.
