Customer service rep hung up on me & Deborah in upper level management refuses to take complaint calls

I ordered new windows in June and paid As of today (month later) they are not installedThey have a lot of excusesI will not do business again with that company and would like to warn everyone who wants to do business with them
It took this company one and half YEARS to complete our homeIt still isn't rightThe county revoked their permit and they had to redo everythingStill isn't right There is NO WAY this company should get anything but an F rating They lead you to beleive that they make the product, they do notTM Windows makes the productThis company has been our worst nightmare Revdex.com should take a good look at this company, this company should not be in business
I have used Florida Window and Door Company at occasionsThe first time, I had started upgrading my home with impact windowsI had read all the reviews online, done some research and it seemed to me a good company The second time, a non-impact window was broken in (robbery) and I decided to have the entire house upgradedObviously if I chose the company twice, I didnâ t have many problemsThe companyâ s back office / operations department is extremely professional: on top of the paperwork, I was notified of production status, called immediately after production completed to schedule installOn the first contract, the install was scheduled days after completion but I was out of town for business days; the second contract, they were able to fit me in the day after production completeFor the install, the different crews on both contracts showed up on time / schedule, advised of the process, and explained the product, cleaned up (vacuumed and made sure areas were left as clean as can be for a construction job)I believe the only improvement is from the Sales areaThe Sales Person provided me on both occasions with a time to completion that was aggressive and did not materializeOn the first contract which happened to fall around the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, the production was about weeks behind (I expected about weeks behind as for the holidays)On the second contract, all was only weeks behind stated schedule from Sales personInstead of stating 5-weeks to installation, if the Sales person would have stated 7-weeks, it would have been perfect Nonetheless, the windows are doors are made to order and incredible qualityFor me, it was worth the couple of weeks delayIf I purchase another property, I will for sure use Florida Window and Door Company
The installers did a wonderful job on our our windowsThey were friendly, professional and got the job done in a timely mannerIt took a while for our windows to be made after signing the contract and giving our deposit...but the company told us this ahead of time and were in one week of their projected install time frameWe are happy with our windows so far and have had no issues ( it has been mths)The county building inspector even commented on what a great job the contractor did on installation, during his final inspection
If I could give this business a rating at Revdex.com, it would be lower than an F My nightmarish experience with this company is too lengthy to list in it's entirety A condensed version would include: Six months waiting for this $10K contract to be completed and still waiting No contact from the company to me, the customer All contact with Florida Window and Door has been initiated by me No call back or email reply when contacted All screens for my windows were smashed and/or bent when they arrived Screen delivery was subsequently scheduled and no one appeared at the appointed time Two weeks after the delivery date, I continue to wait for the screens or a call with regard to the screens Each "department" seems to be oblivious to the existence of other departments and their interaction with the customer Florida Window and Door states they have an A rating with the Revdex.com however, they are not associated with the Revdex.com I would venture a guess that this would be due to the fact that the Revdex.com requires a company to live up to high standards of quality in order to be a member and this would be difficult, if not impossible in my opinion, for Florida Window and Door to achieve The list continues however I suspect you have formed an opinion by this time I would suggest Lowes, Home Depot or even Wal-Mart before I would suggest doing business with this company If you are naïve enough to consider Florida Window and Door as your window or door company, make sure to read the fine print on their contract and consider why there is a full page of the contract devoted to the rules for law suits against the company If nothing else, that should make you think twice (or even more) about hiring them
Never do business with this co.I signed contract Nov / called them after weeks I was told we are working on servicing my installation to make a short story in May of this year cocame to install impact doors I live on the thid floor of a condo they did not bring a fork lift, cocame back next day after and half hours with a fork lift got the doors up bottom line none of the doors fit every thing was measured wrong It took 6-mos of waitng and frustration it is obvious they are screwed up..Luckily I got all my money back
Florida Window and Door did a fantastic job!! They were clean, courteous and professionalI would use them again and urge all customers thinking about doing business with them to do it without hesitation or regard to what others may say
I reached out to multiple companiesFlorida Window & Door came out and gave us the attentionToni our salesmen showed up and took care of us
I used Ygrene Financing that went very smoothly and Florida Window & Door helped through out all the process, we almost didn't worry about anything
Once permits were issued, we scheduled installation, they were on time, installed on schedule and they finished the job on time and cleaned up everything as they went along
Our Installer Alex and his crew were excellent and answered all our questions and he was present during the entire installation

While we were admittedly concerned about a few negative reviews in researching this company, some of them didn't ring true, and so we decided to give FWD the benefit of the doubt and hung in there with themWe're very glad we did, as our project was eventually completed to our extreme satisfactionInstaller Robinson Land his team overcame challenging conditions (unseasonally heavy rain) in a very professional and conscientious fashion.They cleaned up daily and made sure to leave our home secure and protected from the elementsThe measurements for our direct replacement windows were spot on, and we were left with only minor touch-ups to complete on our own after they finished - way less than I expected! I recommend FWD without hesitation
I knew about Florida Window and Door's poor rating before I contracted out for them to install new windows and doors I should have heeded the warning from the poor rating Unfortunately it has been months since I signed the contract and gave them my deposit, and still nothing has happened In my case, as soon as I committed to have them do the work and paid my money, there was no good customer service Every time I call the salesman he acts like he doesn't know me and then when I remind him of who I am he acts like it's not his problem I have lost money and time by going with Florida Window and Door It's been a nightmare for me
I' m so sorry to see that this company got such a bad reviewYesterday we had a salesman come to our house and I must say I would give him a "A" for his knowledge and demonstration he did for usI was very much impressed with his professional manner and happy with the quote he gave usSo far we are on a positive note
I just had new windows installed by Florida Window and Door The installers did an excellent job; always on time, neat, clean and very professional The salesman that came to my house answered all of my questions and was extremely knowledgable and made 100% sure that I was comfortable with my choicesThe office staff always kept me informed throughout the process up to the scheduling of my installation date and answered any additional questions that I may have had I am extremely pleased with Florida Window and Door and would highly recommend them to anyone and may even place another order for doors in the future!
Run the other way as fast as you canHuge delays in the installation and absolutely terrible installersThe patio doors were not as I designed and all I got was excusesThe installers tried to install the windows in the wrong location (front had colonial grids and back did not)It was an expensive lesson doing business with this company
We had nothing but problems with Florida Windows and Doors We purchased hurricane proof windows They did not manage the required permits which delayed the manufacture and installationThey then mis-measured one window and the installers removed the old one before checkingWe ended up with a plywood window for months All the time our conversations with the installation manager were atrociousShe was obnoxious and rude to us on every discussionAbsolutely worst customer service we could have experienced
