Florida Window and Door replaced 45 windows in my home in Jupiter. The job was done with complete professionalism. I am not one to write reviews positive or negative however, I know that this job was extremely difficult and the Florida Window and Door team deserves the credit for doing a great job. I would highly recommend this company to those looking for a reputable company with quality craftsman.
Florida Window and Door sent out installers that must have been paid by the project. They removed all the windows at once and stayed until 7pm that night to complete the job. They left without finishing their work. I was out of town the week afterward and when I came back most of the caulking on the outside had collapsed into the openings; the inside was not even caulked. When I called I was told a supervisor would be sent out to correct this before the city inspection which was already scheduled. No one showed up. Since I couldn't take another day off I caulked and finished the outside and inside of their work. They sent a supervisor out when the inspector was there and he had to borrow my caulking gun to caulk the screws at the base of the door frames. He then disappeared without putting the plastic covers or aluminum caps on the frames. I had to cut and place the frame covers on and still after 7 calls don't have the plastic caps. I have already talked 2 of my neighbors out of considering using these people. I have called the City of Pembroke Pines on them and will do anything I can to lose them future business. Please protect yourself and don't use this company.
I contracted with this company in May, 2013 to replace my hurricane windows. The work was suppose to be completed in August but did not get sign off from the inspector until late October. When I arrived in november I found the following problems;
-Horrible workmanship, poor paint application on inside and outside, 59 scratches and dents to frames, extensive scratches and dents on all tracks, the wrong color on the outside tracks, the wrong color handles and brackets, incomplete caulking on multiple kick plates. Although they discussed addressing some of these issues, no timetable was provided and others were completely ignored. Since then I have discovered that several doors are grinding together causing exterior paint to be removed, weather stripping is coming loose, paint is bubbling on exterior and most seriously, air intrusion occurs through the locks and top and bottom of the tracks bringing air and moisture into my apartment when the winds are only 15 mph. I have hired an outside consultant to document all these deficiencies and the only solutions are either a complete redo or a refund, both which they refuse to do. Recently they filed an unauthorized charge to my credit card. I have also learned that the owner, [redacted] was fined by the attorney general in 2009 and forced to close his previous window company. This is the worst work I have ever seen in my entire life!!!
I have used Florida Window and Door Company at 2 occasions. The first time, I had started upgrading my home with impact windows. I had read all the reviews online, done some research and it seemed to me a good company. The second time, a non-impact window was broken in (robbery) and I decided to have the entire house upgraded. Obviously if I chose the company twice, I didnât have many problems. The companyâs back office / operations department is extremely professional: on top of the paperwork, I was notified of production status, called immediately after production completed to schedule install. On the first contract, the install was scheduled 10 days after completion but I was out of town for 5 business days; the second contract, they were able to fit me in the day after production complete. For the install, the different crews on both contracts showed up on time / schedule, advised of the process, and explained the product, cleaned up (vacuumed and made sure areas were left as clean as can be for a construction job). I believe the only improvement is from the Sales area. The Sales Person provided me on both occasions with a time to completion that was aggressive and did not materialize. On the first contract which happened to fall around the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, the production was about 4 weeks behind (I expected about 2 weeks behind as for the holidays). On the second contract, all was only 2 weeks behind stated schedule from Sales person. Instead of stating 5-6 weeks to installation, if the Sales person would have stated 7-8 weeks, it would have been perfect.
Nonetheless, the windows are doors are made to order and incredible quality. For me, it was worth the couple of weeks delay. If I purchase another property, I will for sure use Florida Window and Door Company.
The installers did a wonderful job on our our windows. They were friendly, professional and got the job done in a timely manner. It took a while for our windows to be made after signing the contract and giving our deposit...but the company told us this ahead of time and were in one week of their projected install time frame. We are happy with our windows so far and have had no issues ( it has been 3 mths). The county building inspector even commented on what a great job the contractor did on installation, during his final inspection.
It took this company one and half YEARS to complete our home. It still isn't right. The county revoked their permit and they had to redo everything. Still isn't right. There is NO WAY this company should get anything but an F rating. They lead you to beleive that they make the product, they do not. TM Windows makes the product. This company has been our worst nightmare. Revdex.com should take a good look at this company, this company should not be in business.
From the day of signing contract there were problems.Instead of a 8 week delivery time it was12.Door didn't fit and a man from Miami had to come up to WPB to fix, didn't come on day they said, didn't bring enough screens, the locks didn't work on one slider for over a week, failed inspection, men came to put in screens...neither spoke English and besides putting them in backwards they said one word to me...fin-a!! I've had a pet door for 10 years in door...they said they don't do pet doors to go to Home Depot. Went to Depot and door doesn't fit...the locks don't match up. When called to enquire about helping me find out if this window company that Fl Door n Windows gets their windows carries pet door, I have gotten no response. Not a reputable company to me.
