Because of the current pandemic, my small business (fitness studio) was ordered by the city and state to close on March 15th. Being a business that provides in-person training, our business was not able to provide services to our clients. As a result, we experienced a significant loss in revenue due to membership cancellations. We were eventually forced to permanently close our doors because we could no longer cover overhead, and with the state announced that the stay-at-home orders are extending until at least July, there is no way we can survive.

We reached out to FloWater on April 19th, which went unanswered. I resent the email a second time on May 5th and finally got a response from Carina from FloWater's Accounts Receivable team stating the following:

"Looking at the account I do not show that we have ever received a payment for the unit. To be able to remove the unit, you would need to make a payment for the past due amount of $3000 before we are able to remove the unit."

This prompted me to respond, stating that I've been current on my payments, and I provided them with my TimePayment account information (Acct # ***) immediately who handles our billing for the account. Even though they have now been able to verify this information, they did not pick up the unit as they stated they would and instead have refused to pick it up until I pay them.

After repeated attempts to illustrate the fact that I have to vacate the property, they still haven't made any effort to pick up their property in attempts to force my hand.

This is an awful way to treat anyone at any time, but more importantly, during a time where our country is suffering because of a pandemic that was out of everyone's control. I didn't choose to close my doors and leave my business unable to perform on the agreement, and all we want is to reconcile this situation so that we can figure out what comes next for our family.
