Review: In October of last year I purchased a ticket ([redacted]) for my father to travel from JFK to Jamaica on 11/**/14. A representative called and statement that the flight was cancelled and that he is being to reschedule for that Sunday. I told her no because I had to work and there was no one else to take him to the airport. She suggested other days and I told her since I am at work I was unable to make such a rush decision. Furthermore I need to look at the day I was off from work so I could drive him to the airport. She told me that was fine and that I had a year from the purchase date to use the ticket. At no time did she explain anything about a Penalty Fee if refused her offer of that Sunday. I know each ticket varies in prices so I am will to pay the difference in cost. However I am refusing to pay a Penalty Fee, when they were the one who cancelled the flight in the first place. I spoken to numerous representative about the matter. They suggest talking to a manager but each time I call no manager is available or I get disconnected after holding for very long period. I have filled complaint after complaint to no avail. They keep on giving me the run around and no one calls me back or come to phone. Time is running out and I feel I am being force to pay the penalty fee or let the ticket expire. Please help.Desired Settlement: I want a ticket Without paying a "penalty fee". I am willing to pay the difference in pay. I will not pay a penalty fee

Review: On 02/**/2014 I purchased a round trip ticket to Guyana from Fly Jamaica Airways Ltd , for US$642.50 Departure Date:04/**/2014 @12:15pm Return Date:04/**/2014 @1am(receipt attached.) After several cancellations of my return flight from 1am to 10am on 04/**/2014 and the last of which was scheduled to leave @7am 04/**/2014, this cancellation was indefinite no further time was scheduled. I was forced to make a decision to get on another flight if I were to make it home on time, as I was scheduled to return to work on 04/**/2014. The last cancellation was at around 8:30pm on 04/**/14 and as per my conversation with the representative at that point as to my options I was given the assurance that I will be issued a full refund should I proceed to purchase another ticket to get on another available flight. A second ticket was purchased on my behalf with Caribbean Airlines in the amount of US$530.90(receipt attached.A request for a refund was sent to Fly Jamaica Airways on 04/**/2014 with an automated response that I will be contacted, I never heard from them. I tried to make Contact through the travel agent from whom I purchased the ticket (I have the evidence of an email)and was told it will take (5) to (6)weeks to process. After (5)weeks I decided to dispute the charges through my credit card to which Fly Jamaica Airways issued a credit of US$111.60 as a courtesy stating it was not in their policy to issue refunds and it was my decision to get on another flight. I am disappointed at the Poor Customer Service and the lack of Integrity of Fly Jamaica Airways. Especially that their refund policy states:"Fly Jamaica Airways will refund fees charged to passengers for optional services which the passenger was unable to use due to an over sale situation or flight cancellation."I understand that this is a common issue by Fly Jamaica where Customers have suffered the loss of their jobs due to cancellations of days at a time.Desired Settlement: Under these circumstances and in all fairness, I deserve to have a full refund of my second ticket purchase of US$530.90 with Caribbean Airlines, as this was an additional cost out of my pocket. It was the only other option available to me after 24hrs delay and an indefinite flight schedule with Fly Jamaica Airways.

Review: On November ** 2015, I purchased an airline ticket for my uncle ([redacted]) travelling from New York (JFK) to Kingston Jamaica to December *, 2015. Upon arrival to check-in he was told he needed the credit card information since he is not the cardholder, my uncle and I were unaware of the new changes to the airline. (We travel with the airline in August 2015 and that policy was not enforced). At check-in my uncle had to purchase another ticket because I was at work and he was unable to get in contact we me( therefore two tickets are paid for). I contacted the airline they told me they would issue a full refund in six -eight weeks. I called on several occasion to check on the progress of the refund. Its now over eight weeks and I still have not receive my refund of $325.00.Desired Settlement: Two airline tickets were bought and I was told I would receive my refund. I just want my refund.

Review: To Whom It May Concern, Below is a list of complaints that my family and I experienced while traveling with Fly Jamaica. Our confirmation number was [redacted]. 1. Nine (9) passengers were scheduled to travel on July **, 2014.We received a telephone call on July **, 2014 for us to get to John F. Kennedy International Airport within two (2) hours because our flight was rescheduled and we were transferred to Carribean Airlines. 2. On returning six (6) passengers were travelling, we went to Cheddi Jagan International Airport on August *, 2014 and found out the flight was cancelled, we then incurred an expense of $15,000 GYD. 3. We received a phone call from representative [redacted] to return to the Airport on August *, 2014. We incurred another expense of $15,000 GYD for transportation. 4. Family members visited the office in Queens New York on August *, 2014 to discuss our plight and later that day informed us that we were travelling the next day. We later received a phone call from [redacted] who confirmed that we were travelling on August *, 2014. Upon arrival to Cheddi Jagan International Airport we were told that we were not on the manifest, I insisted on speaking to the supervisor where I informed her of my concerns about [redacted] not having any more medication, he only had enough to last until August *, 2014. [redacted]'s health and safety was compromised. He is required to take these pills on a daily basis as follows: Guanfacine hcl 1 mg Olanzapine 5 mg Chlorpromazine hcl 50 mg (taken at 8:00 am) Guanfacine hcl 1mg Olanzapine 20 mg (taken at 9:00 pm) Levothyroxine Sodium 0.025 mg Chlorpromazine hcl 50 mg (taken at 5:00 pm) Guanfacine hcl 1 mg Guanfacine hcl 1mg (taken at 12:00 pm) 5. [redacted] lost a day's pay in the amount of $95 dollars due to the late arrival of flight OJ121, she was unable to make it on time for work on Monday August *, 2014. 6. [redacted] who was unable to travel on July **, 2014, rescheduled her flight for December and is now concerned about losing her job because of the extent of the delay we have experienced with Fly Jamaica. She is now requesting a full refund on her payment. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated. For further information I can be reached at ###-###-####. Review: I purchased a ticket online with fly Jamaica airways in March. The flight was scheduled in July but was grounded. I cancelled the flight the same day and a refund was promised within two months, but I still have not received my refund.Desired Settlement: I would like to be paid my refund with the interest for delay in payment.

Review: I purchase two plane tickets in February 2014 for a flight to Guyana on July [redacted], 2014, for a wedding I was attending on the August [redacted] 2014. Upon arrival at the airport I was told that my flight was cancel and they don't know when the flight would be leaving. The business claimed they called me about the flight leaving JFK on August [redacted] 2014, I never receive the call and was unable to attend the wedding. In the meanwhile I was calling the airline to cancel my flight but never got in contact with them until August [redacted] in which they told me they had called me on that said saturday of the wedding. I missed the wedding, so I inquired about my refund, I was told that the process takes 6-8weeks and I will get my refund. On the company's website it states that a refund takes up to 7 days, it's been two months and a two days and I've yet to receive my refund. I called the business several times and was told that it's in process and they can't help me, they also said I should called their customer relations department which was located in Jamaica. I called the number provided on their website and was on the phone for over 10 minutes and still haven't got a respond about my money. The phone cut off and I was unable to call back since my service provider would be billing me for international calls.Desired Settlement: The entire amount I paid for the tickets including taxes and the money I spend for the dress and other items for the wedding.

Review: I made a purchase on a ticket at 9:30 pm 8/**/14, I then called the next day and asked for the money back. I was told at first I was uanable to get the 100%. I then caled the mani office and was told that as long as the ticket was purchased within 24 hours I am entitled to 100% refund. I was told by one agent the money would be put back on the card,I made a call to the card company and was informed that it was not available. I called back the Fly Jamaica and another agent told me it will take up to 6-8 weeks to get my money back. I thought that to be unprofessional as I have to be faced with attitudes for my money.

The [redacted] needs to be informed of how the agents handle the professionalism in the offices because he will not get to many patrons flying on his aircraft.

All I want is my money refunded asap, as it was not a problem for it to have been taken in the first place. I refund money daily and it certainley does not take that long ...

Very dissatisfied..
