Folsom Lake Ford Reviews (23)

Review: purchased a (ford f-150) on 5/19/2013 not happy with the contract. attempted to return on 5/21/2013 salesman declined my return.

I purchased a pre owned ford f-150 truck from folsom lake ford on 5/19/2013 the vehicles price tag was $24,887.00 I gave a down payment of 16,000 with intentions of having only to pay off a 11,000 to 12,000 dollar loan after taxes. As the paper work is signed I'm being told by ([redacted]) that I would be receiving a maintenance services with my new ford truck. I get home go to work the next day and in the evening of 5/20/2013 Im goin through the final paperwork and seen way to many numbers! To find out that my contract is not what was initially discussed wit one of the sales rep ([redacted]). The contract states that my loan will be $16,791.20, this is not was talked about. I returned to folsom lake ford immediately as I was free off work. retuning on 5/21/2013 at 4:45 pm, I spoke with both sales reps Ben asking them that the contract was not what we talked about and that I was not happy with the performance of the vehicle. I stated that I would like to decline the maintenance services that ford offers I was declined of doing so even though it states in the conrtact that I have 3-5 days to cancel these the maintenance services, then I stated that I would just like to return the vehicle all together as I was nice enough to bring back also stating that I was not happy with this contract or vehicle, Both salesmen declined me of doing so. I will not pay for a vehicle that I do not wish to retain. Desired Settlement: I would like folsom lake ford to take back their vehicle.

Folsom Lake Ford did nothing wrong in this sale. Mrs. [redacted] purchased a used vehicle at the sale price, put XXXXX down and got a low financing rate thru Ford credit. Her finance balance was $11,141.20 at that time. She then purchased a warranty and maintance contract which brought her balance to over XXXXX. I have since offered her to cancel those products (May 22nd email directly to Mrs. [redacted]) which would bring her balance to the $11,141.20. If we do that than we will need her to come in to execute a new contract to lower her balance and her payment. Since we did not do anything wrong we won't just take the truck back. We offered her the 3 day return option of which she declined.

The dealership and I have since worked things out on our Own.

Review: I paid an additional $2775 for an extended service contract when I purchased a Ford F-350 from Folsom Lake Ford and I was told if I never needed service during the life of my contract that I would be paid back the $2775 on my brand new Ford F-350. This seemed like a great deal so I paid the $2775 knowing I could collect all $2775 as promised by the finance manager if I never used the service contract. I subsequently never had my vehicle serviced during the life of the extended service contract as I take amazing care of my vehicle and I am now due the $2775 that I was promised. Each time I visited Folsom Lake Ford--there was never a question on whether or not I was due the $2775--everyone said I was due the $2775 but they said I didn't have one thing or another to get reimbursed. On my first visit, the representative said I needed a little slip of paper but didn't mention the time window. On my next visit, I had the paper but then the representative said that I missed my window of opportunity to be reimbursed for the $2775 that I paid for the extended warranty. Again, I feel like I am getting the run around and I really just want my $2775 that I am rightfully due as I trusted that Ford would live up to their word when I purchased the new Ford F-350. Now they are telling me they have destroyed all of their records and I am due nothing from Folsom Lake Ford. Moreover, they are telling me that they sold me a 3rd party contract and they have no responsibility.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the $2775 that everyone agrees I am due. Folsom Lake Ford sold me the warranty and made me the promise.

Mr [redacted] bought an extended warranty to cover his truck if it broke. He also bought a separate policy that if he never used his warranty during the 6 years of coverage he would get a full refund. The only stipulations were that he provided a statement from warranty company that he didn’t use it and a copy of the NADS form that was the guarantee company. As long as he had those and sent them into the address on the back of the form within 2 months of the expiration date he would get a full refund from NADS, not Folsom Lake ford. This would have been done in 2007. The first time I heard from MR. [redacted] was in 2013,  6 years after it expired.   I’m pretty reasonable but 6 years is way to long past for me to step in.   The company NADS stopped doing business in 2010 and had paid out all claims at that point.   I do not feel like it is our responsibility to pay Mr. [redacted] when he didn’t fulfill his part.   My position has been the same from day 1 and I don’t think I am being unreasonable.  There is no documentation now to even find out if Mr. [redacted] used the warranty or that he may have already gotten reimbursed already.  Mr. [redacted] had warranty coverage for the entire 6 years and had he followed the directions he would have been reimbursed 7 years ago. Thanks

Review: Regarding the accuracy of mileage charges. We came to the dealership twice to return the leased car (once to hear about cheerleader porn from the lease manager to our 25 year old son and the second time to see how strung-out your lease manager was on pain pills - we assume - as he was waiting for surgery) but were told to get the inspection and not return the car (even though the lease was up). Before we could do that it's towed away the night after we tried to turn it in the second time. Because of this unprofessional behavior, we have zero confidence in what happened to the car before it was inspected so we are not confident that it's the same mileage before it was towed. Therefor, we are hesitant to pay the total amount owing.Desired Settlement: Charges adjusted due to the fact that we were unable to confirm the mileage. And, due to the erratic behavior of the lease manager, we have zero confidence.

Response:

This bill that the [redacted]'s have is a bill from [redacted] for their expiring lease. There is some late charges from the duration of the lease and some over mileage charges for driving over the allowed miles. Two months later when they realized there was a bill they claimed the part of cheerleader porn. Not right after it happened. I am very confident that this was not an actaul conversation and was a claim from their son, [redacted] is. 25 year employee and I have never had any sort of complaint from him over those years folsom lake ford is not the one billing them and is also not responsible for the lease turn in process and is only a drop off spot The car was towed from their driveway because it was 45 days past due. The [redacted]s were contacted over 10 times to return the car prior to it being towed away by [redacted] Folsom Lake Ford has no responsibly for this bill and their issues should be directed to [redacted]. Thanks.

Response:

On the last day of the lease, our son tried to returned the car. The lease manager did not take the car. My husband and I were surprised and took the car in ourselves late an afternoon soon after. We were told that one more payment was owed and to take the car home and call for an inspection. That night the car was towed before we could follow up and confirm the last payment and schedule the inspection the next day.
