In May of 2014, I paid Global Efficient Energy approximately $15,000 to install solar panels on my roof. After they installed them, I have seen no difference in my utility bills. I was supposed to have a 10 year warranty. After a recent hailstorm, I began the process of replacing my roof. We were unable to get in contact with anyone from Global Efficient Energy at any of the phone numbers or the email address the company had given me. Another solar panel company came to remove the solar panels. They informed me that the solar panels were never connected correctly, and they had never been on line.

I was approached by GEE to purchase solar panels wit a guarantee that it would save me on my electric bills and would reduce my bill enough to cover the monthly cost of the loan. My loan amount for 8 panels was $19,900. I’m still paying it and my electric bill has not reduced enough for any savings. Between the two, I’m paying over $700/ month. I’m retired and this is eating up a significant amount of my income.

In 2016, we purchased solar panels from Global Efficient Energy. We were told by the *** that we would be saving 50 percent on our electric bill each month, that didn't happen. They would do an audit on our bills and we suppose to get a refund from that, that didn't happen. After a month or two we thought we would be getting savings on our electric bill but again that didn't happen. We called Global to see if someone would could come out and check the panels no answer. Several more times called *** no answer. We had to call the finance company and they called Global, no call back from Global to us. At this time we called ONCOR to come out and check on the meter to see what was going on, ONCOR guy stated that "we were getting only enough juice as a 9 volt battery". After all the calling and no answer, come to find out they are no longer in business in Austin area. Our home is a 2 story, 3200 sqft. Global only put 12 solar panels and the barrier and charged us $25000. Our home was not outfitted correctly. We was still within our warranty. Our electric bill still didn't go down as the company promised us. We are stuck with solar panels that's still not working properly. WE HAVE CONSUMER RIGHTS and the business took advantage. Still paying for the solar panels. Issues we have with Global are Advertising Issues, Product Issues, Repair Issues, Service Issues, Contract Issues, Customer Service Issues. UPSET... that you would have a fortune 500 company taking advantage of people, and part of ONCOR solar program. WOW!!!!

this terrible company is part of the envirosolar scam company. I cancelled the solar service because of many reasons, they lied about the service and lied about the smart technology installed on my house. The alarm and smart home installer messed up my existing smart home features which cost me 2000 dollars to have repaired. I have been trying to cancel their monitoring service for months and told them to come get their equipment and no one ever calls back or emails me. I just keep getting letters that I owe them money and they will report me to the credit bureaus. Worst customer service ever.

My mother and I bought 6 panels and windows for $20,000.00 07/16/2012 then bought one more panel the next year. We were originally told that we would get $2500.00 each year for 4 years, we never received a dime! We were told they would greatly reduce our electricity bills, it has never reduced them at all! We were told we would be getting money back on our electric bills, we got $46.00 back on the initial one after much prodding and we get 8 cents maybe 4 times a year after that. We haven't received anything in a long time, it's like they don't even work anymore. We can't reach the company, not even by the number you provided.

This company installed our solar panels through *** loan company. We have proof of the damage they did to our roof. We had to pay $10,000 to have them removed. They caused leakes throughout our home. Used duct tape on our roof. Lag Bolts only went through the decking and were very lose.Silicone in the junction boxes. duct tape in area that should have properly installed. Deemed not up to code. The experts who did the repair and asked to be contacted of this shawty work done to our brand new home built in 2014 are available. Pictures available, and *** insurance information available.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:
The damage to our roof is still there. The amount of money we spent to re-install and the damage the install caused to the interior of our home is still there. A refund is required to fix these majore issues. Water stains in all parts of home are undeniably caused by the install.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: This is the same excuse I have been receiving for four months now. It is a delay tactic. Our home was destroyed. I have water stains inside my home walls. They placed duct tape on our roof as a way to seal solar panels. They left gaping holes in our roof. We have sent the business proof of pictures and an expert opinion of the damage this business caused.

we had a solar system installed to our home in April of 2016. I have tried numerous times in the past to reach out to the company in regards to the installation and the product operating system with no luck in reaching them. I have tried contacting my electric company and they gave me a different name that they were doing business as, but did not reach them with that information either. My system is not working as they told me it would. I was told my system would produce energy and my electric bills would come down to almost nothing, and may even result in a credit from my electric company. I have not seen much difference at all and I have been trying to see if someone would come out to test our equipment to be sure it was operating properly, but cannot reach anyone. my electric company put me in contact with a new provider that are taking over some of the customers that were doinfg business with Global but they are wanting to charge me to come out and service my system. I am in debt for $30k for this project and have no one that can help me. I contacte dthe finance company and they also are not cooperating with me. I am going to submit a claim against them as well. the Solar company got their monies but now i'm stuck with a balance and have no idea if it is even working properly. the finance company just wants me to pay them back for the debt, they don't care that they are not working properly. I did try to get them to investigate into the solar company, Global efficient Energy, in the past, but since I could not afford to pay a contractor to come check my system, they closed the case and labeled it Decline service, or something to that effect. I told them I could not afford to pay a contractor to come service my system while still having to pay my loan payment as well. I hope that you can help me resolve my problem. I am not trying to get out of paying my debt, but why should I pay for something that doesn't work?

I got my solar panels installed in April 2006 ,each panel 8.96 kw. x 32 panels. The panels were turned on in Aug of 2006, months went by and I did not see a difference in my bill. I called them several times with getting an answer that someone would call me back and no one ever called me back. I finally got a hold of someone and they had me email them 6 months of my bills, I did that and never heard from anyone. Again I tried calling and no answers. After 23 months we finally found out that we should have been with an electric company that has a buy back program. Which we were not told about. We have been with a company for 10 months and we have gotten $136.57 back from 32 panels.

I bought solar panels Feb 2016 from a friend who was working with the company. I paid about 20k for a panel upgrade, solar foam, powermizer, 40 LED lights, attic tent, thermal jacket 2 solar fans and a 1.25kw starter system, water heater wrap. I was promised 1500 as a rebate but only got 650 to include a partial refund for not getting my water heater jacket. I was given several points of contacts and numbers to call by former employees but never got an answer. After my first complaint on Revdex.com in 2017, I was contacted about the rebate and lack of communications and given the 650. I told the representative ***, that I still had not seen savings and I didn't know if my panels were on or working properly. Some one was supposed to come out and check that they were properly turned on and producing as there is no way for me to check it myself. . I sent in graphs of energy consumption and copies of bills from the past years. No communications came after that. I was told by former employees that they were purposely not answering or dragging their feet on items and rebates.
I have had these panels for almost 3yrs and my bills are still the same. I'm still paying off a loan for an item that I believe is not working. The solar seal itself was supposed to save at least 36-75 dollars a month. You would think with all the stuff I have and 5 tilted panels on my roof, my savings would be apparent. I have no idea if they are working, a local electric company confirmed they were installed properly at the end of installation but then nothing. Also, what happens if my panels need servicing in the future? Who would I need to contact if they ever break or need servicing? I was supposed to be on a plan to increase panels until I was completely solar.

Have tried to contact them to have them remove panels so my roof can be repaired. Have tried their phone and website but unable to do so.

Global Efficient Energy has not honored the contract agreement that we have enter into. This occurred in December of 2014.
A sale rep by the name of E *** from Global Efficient Energy arrived at my resident in December of 2014. He was in the business of sales of Solar Panels for residential use. I was aware of Solar Panel and how they work. Mr *** went on to say how it would be a benefit to home owners the have Solar Panels and how they would save up 50% on utility bills and we guarantee the 50% saving. Also at some point you will be able to sale energy back to the utility company for a profit. Along with the 50% saving and the sale of energy back to the utility company it would a great saving. With that you would easily pay for the Panels. Mr *** went to tell us everything involved and the cost as well as the monthly payments.
Mr *** wrote down all of the material it would take to install the panels and the cost. Everything would cost $23,500.00. He also stated that the Federal Government is trying to encourage home to become more energy efficient and with that the government will gave you a grant of $6,000.00 and a $2,000.00 bonus from Global Efficient Energy. That would bring the price down to 15,500.00 with a monthly payment of only $155.00 per month with option of paying it off early. Mr. did in fact say that $6,000.00 was a grant from the Federal Government and I would receive it. He went to say the $15,500.00 would have to be finance with a company that Global Efficient Energy normally does business with, which turn out to be ***. I inform Mr. that I needed to see the finance papers before I would sign them. My job takes out town for two weeks at time and return home for one week. during that time the notice of cancellation certificate had expired. The day of the install I informed the installers that I have not seem or signed any financial arrangement. I was then put in touch with a Mr. D *** his phone was *** who stated everything was good and that he was in route to my resident with the paper, upon which he never show up and the work was completed. When I received the finance papers they were for $23,500.00. I immediately began calling D ***, E *** and customer service no contacted at all. I would leave messages no one would call back. Finally was able to get in touch with one of the installer. He was the one to help me to receive the $2,000.00 bonus, that was the only thing that Global Efficient Energy has done right and it took a great of time to receive that. E *** lied about the grant of $6,000.00 it turns out it was a tax credit. After over a year I finally was able to get in touch with a lady in the customer service department that was suppose to assisting me. until I found out that she was no long there. There was another person that later contacted by the name of M *** and a associate of hers that was suppose to do the analysis on the panels once they have all of my utility bills. They continue to give me the run around stating they never receive them.
The financial agreement with ***. Which I never signed because Mr *** did all that himself. Payments of 544.10 per month and a balance of $23,500.00 after Mr. stated that I would only pay $155.00 a month. I contacted my attorney, letter were sent to Global Efficient Energy and *** with the attempt to resolve this issue. My attorney did not receive response from either one. With advice of my attorney to continue to pay *** the monthly payment, so far I have payment them $9,793.80 To this day no one from Global Efficient Energy has been to resident. There 8 panels on my resident, according to a independent contractor they are not producing any energy at all. I have along with my attorney have attempt to get my money refunded and to have the panels removed from my resident still nothing. *** says I have a balance of $22.900.00. Which I refuse to pay for s

Global sold us a solar panel system at the cost of $26,000. Installation was delayed over 5 months. Solar panel failed due to shade. I lost contact with the company and it's representatives after they made a shade analysis study of my home. I paid over $1,200 to have my trees cut and trimmed and learned that due to the shade, my home should not have qualified for solar panel installation. I have lost SSW, SW and W side shading of my home, not to mention the property value of my home after a massive tree trimming. Because of the lack of shade, my home's efficiency has deteriorated. Efforts to make my home efficient, now have become costly. After the shade analysis, I lost all contact with the reps and several attempts were made, both by phone and text to contact the Point of Contacts (Salesmen; *** Project Representative) which the company gave me. To date, I have not hear/received any results from the company or any of its reps.

Fort EPC Response

While tree shading may cause solar panels to underperform, Worth Electric never required homeowners to prune their trees. Please provide a copy of the shade analysis previously performed for your home, as those records are not maintained by Worth, which is no longer operational.

Ref; Response rejectedI am rejecting this [company’s] response because; This is a poor tactic and another attempt to prolong the issue and avoid any resolution. This tactic was used previously by the company representatives when I contacted them concerning this and other issues. In short these are the facts; 1. The work was 5+ months behind schedule. The company reported inaccurate information to the finance company in order to receive their pay. As a result of the false information, I was charged two months sooner by the finance company and lost 2 two months of a ’12 month no-interest’ payment plan. 2. Once installed, the solar panels had to be removed and reinstalled, because they were not installed in accordance to code compliance.3. A system component was defected and failed to work properly. When I called them they delayed a repair. (After numerous calls, I had to ask for them to visit my home to see the problem.)4. When I asked about the shade on the panels, the company, again, delayed on a call back. After several follow up calls the shade analysis was finally conducted.5. Following the shade analysis is when I lost all contact with the company and its representatives. No follow up calls or shade analysis report/results were shared with me.As stated in my original complaint, all my calls, voice messages and text messages have been unanswered. I have pictures of the shade coverage on the solar panels. I have city support and I have been advise by city employees, stating that my home should have been disqualified from the benefits of solar energy due to the shade from my large oak trees. As a result I have suffered extensive monetary loss, property depreciation after cutting my oak trees and loss of energy efficiency due to what is now, a lack of shade on my home during peak hours. Finally, if the company does not advise customers ‘prune/trim their trees’ what is the suggestion for shaded panels they installed? Please feel free to call me for any further questions, clarification or any additional information needed.Thank you, *** Cell*** Ofc.

Fort EPC Response

An installation schedule can be delayed for many reasons, including but not limited to problem jurisdictions for permitting, HOAs, roof issues, structural issues, weather, mounting concerns, and supply issues. Tree coverage issues also cause delays in projects.

Any information that the company reports to its lender is obtained from the respective homeowner. Moreover, the subject lender requires the borrower to sign off on the transaction at several stages, so that it, as well as the company, have the same information.

With regards to the shade claims, all decisions made by the company were made by qualified experts in their respective fields. A shade study was commissioned on Mr.’s property and the recommendation was made to prune the trees. Mr. took that recommendation into consideration and decided to proceed in order to maximize his panel production.

On one hand, he argues that his panels are shaded by trees, rendering them ineffective. On the other hand, he claims that the lack of shade on his home (i.e., the panels) has caused the deterioration of his home efficiency. He claims that his home doesn't have shade during peak sun hours, which is a requirement for maximum solar efficiency. Unfortunately, it can’t be both ways.

Additionally, aerial photographs of the home show well-groomed trees. In fact, the argument can be made that a home with manicured trees is worth more than a home with overgrown trees, particularly with those touching the roof line.

Mr. can contact the company if something mechanically goes wrong with his system. However, with regards to the continued misguided complaints regarding shade, the company considers this matter closed.

Customer Response

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:

Allow me to recap my original complaint and dissatisfaction with this company; the company did not meet its advertised commitments. First, other then provide a solar panel installation, the company did not provide expert installation or contractors; the panels were removed and reinstalled. Secondly, the company has not served our needs in solar or other green technology installations; the rush to sign up a customer and the poor judgment they made based on aerial views of my home result in monetary and degraded the efficiency of my residence. These two, additional facts are what the company advertises on its 'Global Efficient Energy' website. However, most importantly as I stated in my first reply, this is a well know tactic used by this company to avoid accountability for their gross handling of the job they preformed at my home. In the company's first reply of my complaints they asked my to provide a 'shade analysis report' (which I NEVER received) now they state it was suggested in the report (which report?) to prune/trim my tress and to 'add injury to insult' they state, from an 'aerial view my trees look groomed'!

Finally, this company states, in short; I signed off on the task which is why they sent in for payment. The Global Efficient Energy representative known only as ***, verbally stated that the 'paperwork' was not going to be submitted until the job was finalized. The only reason he sought my signature was because of his workload and he wanted to have 'everything ready'. But, he assured me that 'NOTHING would be turned in until that time came'. The company acknowledged this grave error and sent me a check to cover (their error) the over payment and my loss of 2 month of 'interest-free' financing. Their is city and personal documentation that the submittal to the finance company was wrongfully and prematurely submitted.

All facts as they stand have been submitted and document for your knowledge; copies of pictures and documents are recorded and available.

This matter is far from closed.

Regards

I purchased 21 solar panels from Global Efficient Energy in May 2016. The panels were installed in July 2016. I also purchased a monitoring system called solar edge that Global is suppose to monitor and let me know if any problems come up with my system. On October 12 2017 I noticed my Solar Edge app was not working and stuck on September 29 2017. I then contacted what is now Enviro Solar Power and Spoke to a Mr *** in the Austin office. He was able to go into my system and had me run some tests on my end and he ran test on his end. After 3 days of this and the Breaker box's tripping 3 times, Mr *** notified me that he would need to send out an email and have someone come out to look at the system. Since then, Mr *** has stopped returning emails, or phone calls. He is also no longer answer his phone when we call. We still do not have an appointment nor has anyone come out to look at the system to tell us what is wrong. We have had to do a search online to see what this error code is, to find out it is electrical and to shut the system down. Mr *** did not tell us to shut the system down, or that it could be dangerous due to there being an electrical issue. I have tried to call the main number and when I finally got someone to answer the one, I was told they have no affiliation to Global Efficient Energy, yet that is the phone number I called.

Fort EPC Response

We have scheduled a system check for tomorrow (11/3/17). We will have someone out to look at Mr. and Mrs.' system and get it up and running properly. After that, we will monitor their production until we all feel confident that the system is performing as it should. If, after the system is stabilized, it is determined that they sustained production losses prior to now, we will calculate how much and compensate them.

Customer Response

Complaint: *** I am rejecting this response because: 1. They did send someone to my house on 3NOV17 and they identified that I had a bad part and was told they didn't have the part so they would probably have to order it. I had not heard a status on when the part would be here so they could repair my system. 2. I have the solar edge application and I can see my production history since July 2016. My system stopped production 29Sep17 so I can see that I will have production loss. As for the compensation for any loss production. I have had to send my bills for the year prior to the panels, and for the past year with the panels. However the last bill sent was back in May and when I have tried sending the bills to that person since May, the emails now comeback as though she is no longer with the company. 3. In prior complaints to the Revdex.com, the person responding would sign the response. Whoever responded this time did not bother to sign their response. So, how do we know this person has any authority to fix our issues? Regards

Fort EPC Response

The installer was reminded today to keep in touch with Mr. and Mrs. regarding the shipment of the part and the scheduling of the repair. The installer informed us they have now updated Mr. and Mrs. and will remain in touch until the system is repaired.

Regarding the reimbursment, one of our quality control specialists has run an analysis from the day the system production stopped to now to determine how much compensation would be necessary up until now, and went over the results with Mr. and Mrs. to show them how we will calculate their compensation. However, we won't reimburse until the system is repaired so that they are compensated for the entire time the system is down, not just up until today.

As for the Revdex.com responses from the company, they are simply reiterations of the facts collected by our administration department from those company representatives who have actually been in touch with Mr. and Mrs. and been working on resolving the issues. And we expect the issue to be fully resolved once the replacement part comes in, the system gets repaired, and Mr. and Mrs. are compensated for their losses according to the calculations which were discussed with them over the phone today.

I have solar panels installed by Global Efficient Energy. I was to have panels installed to have my electric bill reduced by a certain percentage and if not a check issued until it was. I have had no checks or even any response regarding that. No one answered to make sure my panels were operating to the generate the proper amount or if there was a way to see the amount generated.
My rebate was never processed and it took over a year for anyone to answer me. 7/2017 I finally got an answer that my rebate check was being "processed" and they were looking into finally giving me my water heater cover. Months later with still no response someone finally answers at a Katy location and all they tell me is that they will send an email about it. I bought these panels in 2015 and this company is very shady. Contacting some of the previous employees who installed or sold to me I found out that several left because of less than desirable practices going on in the company. I am paying all this money for a system that barely works

Fort EPC Response

A representative will be in touch with Mr. today to confirm that we will be sending the $500 rebate check and compensation for the water heater wrap, since we no longer have a warehouse with products that we can send out.

A representative will be in touch with Ms. to go over the terms of her warranties and determine the next steps she can take in order to have her microinverters repaired or replaced. They are covered under manufacturer warranty.

Customer Response

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: I have only been contacted by phone by a QA person from Worth Electric, LLC. His suggestion was for us to contact the manufacturer by phone, which we did. The manufacturer passed this on to an installing company, which we did. We have not heard any reply from the installing company.

The responsibility for the warranty service should fall back to the original Installing Company, since the installation and parts were used by Global Efficient Energy. We have been told to chase down our own repairs and hope that the warranty is covered by companies that did not do the original installing.

Another feature that was not installed by Global Efficient Energy was the Enphase monitoring system which was in our contract.

I want our solar system fixed including microinverters and monitoring system which includes the "Enphase System includes the microinverters, the Envoy Communications Gateway and Enlighten, Enphase's monitoring and analysis software".

Regards

Fort EPC Response

As explained to Ms. over the phone by our representative, Global Efficient Energy offered a one-year labor warranty to all customers. Since Ms.' system was installed in 2014, unfortunately her labor warranty is expired. Typically, the installer would do the service work during that one-year period, but at this point she will be able to contact any installer to do service work on her system. However, as also stated previously, her inverters are covered under a manufacturer's warranty. If the manufacturer is not going to replace the inverters, that is an issue she will have to take up with them, as Global Efficient Energy has nothing to do with the manufacturer or the warranty on the inverters.

I am rejecting this response because: First item: *** is a "Male" not a female, someone needs to take English lessons concerning name spelling.

Secondly: I, ***, will contact a local solar dealer and will be happy to pay for his labor and material if need be to repair my system. In November of 2014, I paid over $14K for solar panels and was given the guarantee that I would save 50% on my electric bills over the next 3 years. Not only have I not saved any money, but my bills are higher. After calling multiple times over the first year, someone finally came to my house and discovered the panels were not hooked up/turned on correctly so they weren't reading. Still no savings and the meter was only ready 300 input each month (which is hard to believe with 5 panels in Texas heat). I have been calling and emailing over the last 2+ years - at first there was staff turnover and the person I was dealing with was gone; now, the phone numbers I have are disconnected and the main service line I leave messages on go unanswered. I would like someone to service the panels so they read correctly (and work) and honor the guarantee for the cost savings or receive at least a partial refund for the $14K I spent.

Fort EPC Response

Ms. has already been contacted by a customer service rep who collected her bills and sent them in for a savings analysis. Once the analysis is finalized (within the next two business days), she will be called again to discuss the results and compensation for system losses if applicable. We have also recommended Ms. to another solar company who is going to provide her with a system check free of charge as a courtesy to her.

We had Global Efficient Energy install solar panels in May 2015 with the understanding and a written guarantee from the company that we would save 40 percent off our electric bills. They said after a one year analysis they would either install more panels to enable us to meet the 40% or we would receive money back. We did not notice any savings on our electric bills and have tried to call and email them several times with no response. We would like them to honor the guarantee they provided us.

One of our customer relations representatives got in contact with Ms. yesterday to request her energy bills. She sent the required bills to us via email today and we have begun the savings analysis, which will take approximately two business days to complete. This analysis will show us how much or how little money her panels have saved her on her electricity bills since they were installed. Once the analysis is complete, our customer relations representative will call Ms. again to discuss the results and determine if any actions need to be taken at that time. We hope to satisfactorily resolve Ms.’s complaint in a timely manner.

We install five solar panels in our home on January 12,2015 and were told we would get a tax refund of $ 4,200 dollars in tax rebate by the sales men. When we file our taxes they told we were not entitled to it. The sales men did not inform us that we needed to own a lot of taxes in order for us to get this rebate. We are seniors and I believe he took advantage. I since yet learn that this has happen to others. I would appreciated any help in solving this matter. We have contacted them numerous time. Any they said they will take care of it . But nothing has happen.

Mr. has spoken with our customer service managers, who have worked with him in reviewing his contract documentation. Upon review, his contract properly indicates that a federal tax credit, not a rebate, may be available to eligible solar customers. We cannot and do not guarantee those tax credits, but do explain that there may be one available to them, should they choose to go with solar. We are unaware of any documentation outside of Mr.’s contract promising a tax rebate. We will work with Mr. to attempt to resolve his complaint.

Only if the business works with me to get some of the tax credit.

Had solar panels installed in 2014 that never performed as promised. Global has on several occasions promised to install additional panels but I have only seen lie after lie from this company. Latest offer was a $750.00 payoff, have not seen that either. Only thing company is good at is lying!

Mr. was offered a settlement on the condition that he sign and return a release. Worth is still fully prepared to honor this offer, but has yet to receive the release. If Mr. needs it sent again, we can have the customer relations representative send him another copy. Once it's returned signed, the settlement check will be shipped overnight to him with tracking provided via email.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:I have never received the paperwork from Global. The amt they are offering is very small but I guess I have no other choice. They lie so often that I will not believe them until I cash the check. If they send me the paperwork I will sign the release. *** with Global refuses to answer my many calls to the office recently. No one, I mean no one ever returns a call!

The mutual release has been emailed to Mr.. Once he has returned it signed, the check will be immediately overnighted and shipment tracking provided to Mr.. We do apologize that he never received the mutual release when it was originally intended to be sent. That was an oversight on the part of our customer relations department. We know that expediting his check won’t be enough to make up for the delay, but we hope that he will consider the resolution satisfactory once the check has been received
