Fortis Concrete Company Incand it's owner have taken advantage of a senior citizen After paying a LARGE deposit this contractor took an unacceptable amount of time to start AFTER cashing the deposit Then they damaged electrical and refused to compensate the fee associated to correct it After that they disappeared entirely Finally, the work they DID complete is poor at best Mis- measured, poor quality and crumbling They filled concrete with dirt and sand instead of sealer They have yet to correct ALL the poor work and clean up and have left this poor person without a completed and proper project as well as belongings out in the cold and rain The site is a shambles Despite pleas, opportunities and requests to correct the issue were met with abusive responses by the owner Ultimately they have filed responses to the Attorney General's office I would WARN anyone using this contractor But you likely would have made that conclusion by the NINE poor reviews! Shameful
A number of years ago, this company poured a new driveway for us and what a lousy job they did I was willing to live with the job and not complain until I finally dealt with an oval like crack in the drive The oval crack was about inches wide at the widest and extended about feet in length I was just going to remove the area of concrete in the center and make a patch When I dug out the concrete, I discovered a 2xform post buried in the cement This is something you don't just not see when pouring Since I found this, I was curious to see what the company would say if I called them out to give me a quote for a new drive; mind you, the guy that came out had no idea that it was his company that poured this schlock job So I showed him the area where the 2xwas buried, showed him the outside line that was very crooked and even pointed inward near the apron Then I set a level on the drive and showed that the drive ever so slightly slopes toward the house; we been been getting water in the basement ever since After I told the fortis guy that it was his company that did this job he was surprised I asked for a deal to repour the drive and he said he had to "check" After several attempts to contact, not once did I hear back from them except when I just got this mailer from them asking if we were still interested in letting them do the job! They are a dishonest company and really suck at pouring concrete

We had our 50+ year old patio replacedThe old patio was brick on top of 4" concrete slabThere was no access to the patio for any large equipment, so the demolition, debris removal, prep, pore and finish was all done by handThere were some interesting grades to deal with and Fortis did a great jobThe job timing was excellent with a few Project Management bumps in the road that were quickly remediedAfter the job was complete we had a small punch list to which Fortis responded to and addressed quicklyWe are pleased with their work

I am happy with the concrete job done by Fortis Ground Works. My driveway is at least 6000 Square Feet. Fortis Ground Works professionally finished the work in four days from excavation to new concrete.
We used Fortis to replace our deck and paver patio with stamped concrete and a brick firepit. The salesmen were very helpful when we were choosing the product as we were a little overwhelmed with all of the choices. The crew was on time and finished everything in a timely manner. We are pleased with the product and haven't had any issues at all.

This electrical matter was taken care of 2 months ago. One thing we try to explain to our customers is that per our contract, we are not responsible for any under ground wiring or piping and we need to be made aware of it. In this case the problem was resolved.

Terrible customer service. They are untruthful about when they will provide service. They are late and have excuses for not coming out to lay the concrete and fix it after it cracked few months later. They are not a reliable service should not be in business if they dont have adequate material and staff to service customers.
