Found Amer Vets 1-209-898-0534 calls my phone early in the morning to wake me and after 8 pm at night. That is ILLEGAL. After I was relentlessly harassed by them for months I started answering the phone to tell them to stop calling my number. As soon as I pick up they immediately hang up. If I pick up and wait for them to speak there is silence followed by disconnect. There is no opportunity to speak to them and the harassment continues. There is never a voicemail left. If I call back to give them a piece of my mind the number doesn't connect. It is very clear the point is to harass and NOT to fundraise. It is stalking by phone with no intent to communicate. If their dialer is busted (a bunch of huey if you ask me) they need to disconnect it immediately and stop preying on people. Don't EVER give to these people. They should be shut down. Give your dollars to a legitimate verifiably accountable veterans charity. There are plenty of them out there. This is not a charity. It is someone's idea of a money making scheme. Take a look at the online reviews of this hoax. They keep 90%+ of their take for themselves. Again it is NOT a charity but an ILLEGAL telemarketer. Revdex.com you need to take the strongest action possible against these people. What is FAV going to do change themselves? Yeah, right.

I recently returned from Afghanistan, living with my 78 yr old uncle, who for the first time in his life is in a nursing home. At 8;34 AM 12/31/2015, I received a call from Foundation of American Veterans. (curiously, I am a 4 time Veteran, my uncle is not! But has a soft touch for veterans organizations, hence the call!) The caller asked for my uncle by name. Thinking it may have had something to do with his current treatment, I explained he was not there , but I was his nephew. Got a quick "oh, no message." And caller hung up. Repeated attempts to call back 617-209-2020 got me a voice message with no means to speak to a human, nor leave a message! Press ANY button per the instructions, call was terminated.
BEYOND irritated, I looked up the home office in Michigan, spoke to human being (866-944-8877) and demanded that this treatment stop! Unbelievable. These callers/fund-raisers prey on old, lonely people LIKE my uncle, and harass them constantly! Absolutely no "effing" good SOBs!

We continue to get calls and we are on the "DO NOT CALL" list. However, since it is a recording I cannot tell them to delete our number and when I call the number back you CANNOT LEAVE A MESSAGE!!!!

so far I have received 3 phone calls since March 1, 2016. I fall in the category of a young senior. Yesterday , I made a call to my phone carrier. They were quite surprised. I pay a reasonable amount to have my phone number unlisted. Now I am curious. Where did [redacted](the person who called me) get not only my phone number, but also my first name.
I was very suspicious from the first call. [redacted] and some other woman, basically hounded me for a credit card number. Their point "they could put my donation to work quicker for the veterans." Needless to say, they didn't get one from me.
The call was ended with me saying "send my some paper work and I will mail a check to them (for a lot less than they asked for.)"
I got the paper work a couple days ago. Followed by two phone calls.
In my family we have veterans all the way back to the civil war. In my generation alone, the number of veterans numbers exceeds 10. This is just since the Korean war. Of those at least 4 of them are now listed as disabled Vets. Jointly, all of the vets in my family can count almost 100 years of service to our great nation. [redacted] calls me " a HERO to the vets."
Not even close. Any one from anywhere who has fought for my safety, is the HERO.
after reading 17 plus pages of complaints about this company, on line, with not one good thing being said about them, The Foundation for American Vets will never see a dime from me.
As a quick note, I called my phone carrier today and they gave me the information on how to block in coming calls. It is free of charge from my carrier. I HAVE blocked the number that keeps calling me. Hopefully the calls will stop and not come from some other number.
Thank you for reading my brief story in regard to this company. I hope I have said something that might be of help to some one else.

Like everyone else said, we get calls from these people at wholly inappropriate times. As late as 9pm, as early as 8am on weekends. On several occasions I have answered the call, spoke to a caller and asked to have our number taken off their list and asked them not to call anymore. I have told them flat-out that we will never give them any money. To date, it has had no effect.
